Historically, humans were exposed to daily, intense, unfiltered sunlight without any sunscreen. We’ve been convinced that the sun is dangerous and that taking too much vitamin D is risky.
Vitamin D is not really a vitamin! You cannot get nearly enough vitamin D from food. When you’re exposed to the sun, your skin makes vitamin D with the help of cholesterol. Vitamin D acts like a hormone and turns on over 1000 different genes!
There are two systems of vitamin D. The first system supports bone and calcium regulation, and requires the liver and kidneys for conversion into its active form. The autocrine or paracrine system is rarely talked about. Through this second system, inactive vitamin D bypasses the kidneys and liver and is converted into its active form inside the cell. This system of vitamin D supports the immune system, brain, muscles, nervous system, breast tissue, colon, and prostate. This system needs 8000 to 10,000 IU of vitamin D every day, while the other system only requires 600 to 800 IU every 3 weeks.
Vitamin D can significantly reduce cancer risk, posing a threat to the cancer drug industry, which makes over 300 billion dollars in revenue each year. Similarly, the Coimbra protocol is very effective at reversing autoimmune disease, which attacks another multi-billion-dollar industry. Vitamin D has also been shown to be beneficial for diabetes, high blood pressure, and depression.
Vitamin D toxicity is rare and would require extremely high doses of vitamin D taken for many months. The main problem associated with vitamin D toxicity is too much calcium in the blood, which can lead to kidney stones.
Vitamin D deficiency is incredibly common and can lead to immune suppression, decreased cognitive function, increased risk of cancer, and more. Vitamin D research often ignores the important cofactors magnesium and vitamin K2, which protect you from excess calcium accumulation.

I just started seeing Dr. Berg videos this year. So the message is costly to big pharma too.
Now that we know just how corrupt the Medical Industrial Complex is, the reason is crystal clear. A healthy human is a customer lost.

That is why the early hospitals would bring patients up on a terrace to get sun every day. That doesn’t happen anymore. They know how vitamin D works. They just want us to take their pills
Pills are measurable, that’s why they started that type of treatment. Even my GP complained that not every plant has the same amount of nutrients as it’s neighbor. That’s why they use pills, so they KNOW what the patient is getting. They didn’t take to account that not every pill is created equal and the MD’s one Semester of nutrition is seriously inadequate for their needs as a physician.

Time for a reset.
Its amazing, I started taking d3, magnesium, and k2 in 2021 at 10,000-20,000 iu because I was deficient at only 25 (dont remember the units, mg/l maybe?). Now, in 2026 im at 77 (mg/l?) Which is in the “good” range of 40-100. According to “BIG SCIENCE!” I should have all kinds of problems. Instead, all my normal problems are gone or significantly reduced and I rarely get ill or have sinus issues anymore. Even when I do get ill, its 1-2 days of sniffles now when I used to spend 2-3 days in bed, followed by 2-3 days at 50-60%. Im 47 and healthier than ever.

Yep, I have been on 10,000 iu D3, K2, and Magnesium since I had the Swine Flu in 2009. Did my research then and have never been sick since, not even a sniffle. I was around hundreds of people sick with Covid and never once had a sniffle.
Yes!!! I stopped using sunscreen, wearing sunglasses and take high doses of Vitamin D.
Not a good idea you were going to age faster in your face sunscreen important especially if were you live in country that have a high uv index just take the sunlight from your body even if you were naked even better 😂❤❤

Yeah man you’re right nutrition and the genetic play significant but you can’t ignore that the sun’s rays can cause harm, especially prolonged exposure or during times when the sun’s rays are so intense
I am a pharmacist and just did a longevity CE for my license. The amounts of vit D recommended was 600 and 800 units of vit D. Absolutely incredible how ignorant the medical community is.

I’m a pharmacist too. So much of conventional medicine is wrong and the opposite is true… eat low fat (wrong), avoid sun (wrong), limit red meat (wrong), eat lots of whole grains (wrong).

I had chronic back pain and my hands ached from what I thought was “arthritis” I started taking large doses of vitamin D, 20 to 50,000 IU daily along with magnesium (about 5 years ago) My back pain went away, my hand pain went away. I thought I was “Old”, but it turned out that I was just vitamin D deficient. Now I feel better than I ever have in my life.
I told myself that I will not sit in a wheelchair for any reason only in the hospital etc. My health was very bad I couldn’t hardly walk without a walker or 2 walking cane. This started after heart surgery 1998 and last until 2021 my legs were swallow, others health problems with my legs, ankle and feet especially gout pain. Later on sciatica came along from sitting, blood clots. But after finding Dr Eric Berg YouTube channel I focused on the weight problem first because I was right about 410lbs to 450 lbs in about 5 to 6 weeks my legs were feeling good from doing keto diet but I wasn’t doing the fasting right because I was drinking tea with stevia and lemon water also. Long story short keto fasting diet got me down 208 lbs and I am walking, my health is very good and beautiful I’ve do sometimes get up to get the morning sunshine and a good tear in my eyes feeling very blessed by God for everything

Basically they are saying if too much vitamine d is toxic ..then more than 20 mins in the sun is toxic. …what a bunch of loonies ! ..i spend everyday out in the sun when we actually have it. I have never used sunscreen and never had a sunburn. ..just be smart and start getting spring sun and your skin will climatize to it. .all winter i have body aches. All summer i feel like superman. . The more sun i get the stronger i feel …love your work doc !👍

Had my labs done last week. Vitamin d was at 97. My doctor immediately told me to stop taking vitamin D3. I go as my calcium normal he goes yes. I go them why should I stop taking it? These doctors just do whatever the paperwork tells him to do. No explanation no understanding of anything.
Yeah and they hate it when you question them. I don’t even have a family Dr anymore. They are nothing but useless middle-men. I just go straight to a specialist if a have a real problem..

Last year I found out I was extremely low on vitamin D. My metabolism was slow, I had skin issues (another sign of autoimune disease), got sick often, was constantly fatigued, suffered from awful muscle aches after exercises. All of those problems went away once I started taking 20K UI of vitamin D3 daily with vitamin K2, magnesium glycinate and zinc. Coincidence? I don’t think so.
I feel so much better and I’m finally able to exercise without the dread of feeling pain for days after my training session.
The “health” industry doesn’t profit from healthy and aware people. They need uninformed and sick people to thrive. We need more doctors like you and Dr. Coimbra.
