Some amazing things can happen if you stop eating sugar. Check this out.

In this video, we’re going to talk about what happens to your body if you stop eating sugar for 14 days. What you’re doing is converting from sugar burning to fat burning. This can take about three days, and you may feel a few symptoms in the process. Taking B vitamins and potassium can help with these symptoms.

What would happen if you stopped eating sugar:

1. Lose appetite for sugar –
Every time you consume sugar, a hormone comes in there and pushes the sugars down, causing a low blood sugar situation that causes you to crave sugar.

2. Less hungry –
It’s the sugar that keeps you hungry all the time. Giving up sugar can help stabilize blood sugars.

3. Less fatigue –
Especially after eating a meal.

4. Lose excess water and fat –
For the first week, you’re going to dump a lot of excess water and more fat.

5. Enhanced mood and improved cognitive function —
More focus and concentration.

6. Skin looks better —
Glowing skin with less acne.

7. Less stiffness –
Less inflammation and less pain.

More benefits of quitting sugar:
• Build new enzymes to run the body on fat fuel
• Less inflammation in the arteries
• Growing brain cells
• Clean out a fatty liver
• Better kidney function

It looks like the only way to give up sugar is to get a wide variety of fully ripened fruit. Fresh from the garden. That was taken from us. Man hails from a mediterranean climate and we were tricked into the cold north. Now we get canned tropical fruits and even that is low quality and with added sugar.

I did the 30 day zero sugar after my annual physical in September of last year. My fasting Glucose was 112. I weighed 193 lbs.
Now to update yesterday at the doctors office, I’ve stayed on the low to no sugar diet, I dropped my Glucose number to 91, and weighed 170 pounds. And feel like I’m 30 years old. I turn 67 in October.

I lost 8.5 pounds the first week. I was 155 and I’m 146 one week later. I can’t wait to see week two. I also gave up sugar in processed foods like chips, snacks, crackers, flour and bread.

    • Darkpenink on December 3, 2022 at 6:27 am

      Nahhh…

    • Bel on December 3, 2022 at 5:47 pm

Did you give up fruit entirely too?

    • Rabie Diab on December 8, 2022 at 7:19 pm

I’m also curious about fruit. Fruit is my favorite food group and I don’t think he’s counting fruit. There’s just too many benefits and I’ve done my periods if 1-3 days where u only eat fruit and I always feel great.

  10. Thomas Russo on December 3, 2022 at 12:24 am

I lost 5 pounds to not having sugar I’m giving up sugar great explanations

  11. kris owler on December 4, 2022 at 3:45 pm

Totally 100% correct I can Say this with hindsight. 6 weeks ago I met a person who told me to cut out sugar carbohydrates and oil completely I did for 3 days I had headaches and felt Pretty bad, In a week I lost about 15 pounds, My old clothes started to fit me again I slept a lot better I felt I was a nice person, More humane once again, Generally enjoying life a lot more you could say feeling 20 years younger with a Spring my step once again, 6 weeks later I still do not consume Sugar and carbohydrates I have lost 25 pounds, My joints are better my sleep is better I don’t have aches and pains I look better my skin is better everything is better

    • kris owler on December 9, 2022 at 5:07 pm

@Rabie Diab all sugar , inc honey and fruit. I used to guzzle honey and blend 1 liter of tropical fruit to drink daily. No longer.

    • Adam Burton on December 10, 2022 at 3:14 am

Which carbs have you removed from your diet? Great job!

    • Maryann Murphy on December 11, 2022 at 7:46 pm

Can you drink water with this ? Please

    • kris owler on December 11, 2022 at 7:57 pm

@Adam Burton Just about all of them, banana, bread, noodles and pasta, rice, potatoes, and anything else that has high carbohydrate content. If you’re not sure you can Google a dietary information on anything. I now make my own keto bread from non gluten flour, it’s more expensive than wheat flour and the likes but it feels much better in the stomach after eating none non gluten bread.

    • Rabie Diab on December 12, 2022 at 1:26 pm

@Maryann Murphy never stop drinking water

  12. KENBECKERART on December 5, 2022 at 4:20 am

Does cutting out sugar include sugar alternatives?

Specifically I’m referring to erythritol and/or monk fruit.

  13. K-Kreationz on December 7, 2022 at 1:48 pm

Im not one to leave comments often but recently have been cutting out sugar from my diet and doing the intermediate fasting and have already lost 11 lbs within maybe 3 weeks or so of doing it. Today i finally got below 200lbs which i havn’t been since college.
I will still have natural sugars from time to time but cutting the artificial and added sugar foods has really helped.

My husband and I cut sugar from our diet 4 weeks ago. We have both lost weight, stomach fat gone, not hungry between meals, sleep great, no aches – just like you say in this video. My husband went for his annual physical this week and his doctor was delighted that he has lost weight, his cholesterol is down a lot as is his glucose level and his blood pressure! Thank you Dr Berg for this clear, concise life improving information.

    • Bert franklin on December 9, 2022 at 8:03 am

Just by cutting out sweets and chocolate, or by dropping food with sugar in ? Or both

    • Catherine Sludds on December 9, 2022 at 11:08 pm

@Bert franklin Hi Bert. We cut sugar out of all we eat and drink. I bought Lilly Chocolate with Stevia and Monk Fruit sweetener so can still cook or eat something sweet but these natural fruit sugars do not raise your blood sugar like conventional sugar, honey etc. We were amazed at the difference it makes. I no longer need glasses to drive either as I can read street signs without blurriness.

    • GTABUSTER97 on December 11, 2022 at 10:56 pm

Did you also cut out white bread or just sweets etc.?

      @Catherine Sludds o

    • Catherine Sludds on December 12, 2022 at 6:29 pm

@GTABUSTER97 Yes. We cut out breads that have forms of sugar in them, desserts, candy plus some condiments that have sugar in them too. We bought jam sweetened only with fruit juice. We use Stevia or Monkfruit sweetener if we cook something sweet and eat Chocolate with Erythritol. Hope this helps.

  17. Misc on December 9, 2022 at 6:21 am

It would be helpful to state how to reduce the sugar? Does that include white flour? Raw fruit juices?

  18. Angie L on December 9, 2022 at 1:06 pm

Question….how many days does it take for all the sugar toxins to leave your body, and your body to “switch over”?

  19. Evolve Myself on December 10, 2022 at 1:04 am

This made me want to take the challenge of no sugar

  20. Mike Armstrong on December 10, 2022 at 3:31 pm
