3:15 Learn more about magnesium!
Let’s talk about magnesium and vitamin D. About 75 percent of the population has low vitamin D levels, and 45 percent have low magnesium levels.
All of the enzymes involved in converting vitamin D to the active form depend on magnesium. Vitamin D won’t work in the body if you have a magnesium deficiency.
Vitamin D is vitally important for the body, and it’s crucial to do what you can to avoid a vitamin D deficiency.
Vitamin D also supports the absorption of magnesium. Vitamin D and magnesium work synergistically.
Vitamin D and magnesium are also important to support the absorption and regulation of calcium. Magnesium helps prevent calcium from building up in your arteries.
The body needs about twice as much calcium as magnesium. But many people are actually getting about three times as much calcium as magnesium.
Having excess calcium with a magnesium deficiency can lead to serious side effects, including cancer.
Thankfully, the solution is simple. You need to increase magnesium by consuming magnesium-rich foods, like leafy greens.

Thanks for watching! I hope this helps you better understand the importance of vitamin D and magnesium. I'll see you in the next video.
Dr of all health conscious people. Dr of people across the world.
Thank you Dr. Berg.
I can stop thanking Sir,
you are quite a blessing
to the world Dr.Berg💖
Thanks Dr. Berg for these insightful videos. I think it would be super beneficial for all of us if you made a long hour or so video that covers all the essentials to optimal health. Sometimes the sheer amount of videos you have makes it difficult to know exactly what the average person should be doing everyday in terms of supplementation/diet/sleep.
The problem with that is most people can’t spend an hour on one video.
And a lot of us prefer the shorter, concise format.
I’ll do it in a sentence eat a varied diet of good mostly unprocessed organic food, get daily exercise, take care of yourself and others and relax in the evening for some good sleep.
Dr. Berg, thank you for helping me to get my life back on track from all of my bad eating habits in the past. I have been following you on YouTube for a couple of years now. Your knowledge on nutrition is real proof that it works, if followed correctly!
Great Words.
Thank you. Glad you like what I shared here.
That’s great. Thanks for following my advice. Wishing you good health.
@@DrEricBergDC👏👏👏👏
Dr Berg..you really are a blessing. ALL of your knowledge is so helpful and so simple. You also have a great voice DR and your sense of humor is very charming.. thank you and please don’t stop making videos 🙏🙏
Thank you very much. Appreciate your comment. Appreciate it!
Thank you for responding Dr Berg. 😀😀😀😀
I had an issue with my bone not wanting to heal. When tested on calcium, it was higher then recommended. Since i take D and magnesium, my calcium is more normal and bone started to heal better. I feel better and have less heart rythm issues thanks to the magnesium
Your bone Is made up of multiple elements – like 7- not just calcium. You can look it up.
Not sure what you mean about high calcium. High calcium is not good and I have high calcium. My parathyroid glands which regulate our body’s calcium have run amuck and I need to get one or more removed. Unchecked high calcium leads to osteoporosis so pls ask your doctor to get a blood test for you calcium levels and you PHT (parathyroid). It often goes unnoticed for a long time.
@@ruthgilmour8399 what i meant is that vitamin D and magnesium helped stabilize my calcium and its now more healthy
@@ruthgilmour8399 make sure you take mk7 vitamin k2
@@ruthgilmour8399😮 and let me guess bone spurs?
I have many and I get a blanket of it’s R/A.
I’m deficient in neither, because of your advice, Dr. Berg. Thank you.
Wonderful! Glad to help!
This doctor needs to be cloned and put into every medical school to re-educate doctors with correct information about health.
He is brilliant, and a gem of a person to anyone with common sense about how to improve their health in a sustained way.
I just love learning from his simple to understand videos … I respect this man immensely. 👍👍👍
Many many Functional Medicine chiropractors out there. Dr. B is amazing but so are many other FM’s
Anything cloned or artificial looses value in comparison with natural stuff.

I love the fact that Dr. berg’s videos are short, clear and to the point!❣️
i learned from multiple doctors like Ken Berry and Lustig that doctors only get 1 semester of nutrition and then when they get to medical school, they “beat it out of you” as Lustig said lol i assume they dont ever cover it again after that 1 semester. its all planned to be this way
83% of food in grocery stores is processed?? I’m not shocked to hear this but at the same time I am. That stat gives a nice perspective of part of our health/food issues. Another great video, thank you Dr. Berg!!
I started looking at labels long time ago,. But never knew what they were, so I then started to question what is this, Junk food? So far in vague terms my parent told me it was like Carl’s Jr, fast food restaurants. But I’ve seen this in media too, but junk food I thought, wasn’t junk if it’s being sold at restaurant s of any kind. Then I started to see that possibly alot of grocery store food has too much sodium, (but that’s me going of the “medical advice” and confirmations via main Google search as well, medicinet, WebMD, and similar websites, because I did want to know how to troubleshoot some of my own problems, such as when I thought I might have some form of Ankylosing Spondylitis ( stooped pose) , and alot of times when I went to emergency for something I was just given a Motrin. Though one time , I had a serious issue while living with my parent, I did not know what it was, but had heavy burping constantly, I knew it was gerd , but I was worried , then they had luckily checked my inner tract, it was a big day for me, but I’m not sure what it revealed, but I was given some meds, after that, and things eventually got better, but normal when I was a kid. Fast forward now I have a lot of issues, diabetes, more heart issues , but ever since I slowly started Dr.Ericbergs KETO, I was able to slowly correct my eating habit, and I’m also a good advocator for” good habits always done should lead to a healthy life”. 3/16/2023 my foot got swollen😬, had terrible odor out of nowhere and leg felt burning inside , within 2 days of quick complete switch to pure vegetables by watching his videos, it went away‼️ ever since then I made sure to include alot of EricBergs teachings, and any issue was easily found. Correct KETO is so well guided by Dr.Ericberg, it’s something that pulled me out of deaths grip, and especially living with my untrustworthy parent for so long and suffering abuse and even major health problems like this, I was forced homeless. Still am now, but feel alot better,
…,..👇🏽 more backstory below 👇🏻
and that was me learning medical stuff and doing other learning , but I decided to learn about the immune system in general on my own sometimes when I’m in libraries) , because medical assistant stuff learned in schools was really hard to learn, I do have an expired CNA + medical assistant , credentials july2008 -2009 (class years).
Point is, I felt my body was immune to a lot of stuff, unlike my bro, whose thyroid was removed or something, he always gets sick and stuff, so I did not know why he had always these issues, and I barely get sick/flu.
(Then I remember my parent telling me I do have some sort of heart thing/ issue, and I do get tired faster, so I don’t really push myself like that )
This short, concise, and to the point video is truly appreciated. Thank you!
Yes. A 15 minute video on a simple statement is mostly what one gets on Youtube.
I used your natural antibiotic for the first time, had it brewing at least 2 weeks. Got hammered with a lung infection, was coming on like a freight train, scary. It’s only been 24 hours, I’m so much better. Normal, judging by the way it came on, would be a 2 or 3 week recovery. I’ll chose the quick recovery over the taste gladly!! Thank You Dr. Berg.
Thank you Dr. Berg for making us aware.. But I would have liked for you to quickly follow up on which foods to eat to increase Magnesium and Vitamin D levels.. But either way, thanks for the information.. Have a great day! 😊
I’ve done videos on this. Feel free to research my YouTube channel for more information.

Youtube is not going to keep me from listening to your content, Dr. Berg! You are at the top of my favorite doctors’ list!
763k people have watched in three days, so I don’t think he has become THAT hard to see 😉 More likely YouTube is just tweaking their Algo to the benefit of some, detriment of others. I mean still rude of course.

Thank you Dr Berg! My hubby and I just added magnesium glycinate and it’s early yet but I am sleeping better, my anxiety has decreased,
and more. Definitely have my D3 and eating more salads 🥗
Dr Berg you are very good, I have great admiration for you. I would appreciate it if you would kindly always mention when to take specific supplements and how they interact with one another, I listened to some one else when to take Ox bile vs hcl acid and many of my sufferings wrnt away. I hope you touch on those issues, your sessions are enlightening, diving into the timing when to consume the supplements and how they interact with one another will be appreciated.
I can honestly say since I started taking magnesium and vitamin D my entire health has improved significantly eliminated the body discomforts . Thankyou doc 😊
Same! It’s amazing!
My morning breakfast is organic pumpkin seeds(magnesium), organic muenster cheese(calcium, vitamin K2), 2 pasture raised scrambled eggs(vitamin K2) with onions, peppers, and tomatoes and topped with organic salsa, and some vegetables to go with that. I take a vitamin D supplement with it. Trying to get the most important stuff in the morning.
My own Vit D clinical trial… In March 22 I paid to have a Vit D blood test as I was feeling tired for most of the morning after waking and the local practice wouldn’t test. The result came back borderline low at 49mnol/L. I started myself on 5000IU and felt so much better after just a few weeks. I took another test a year later April 23 and my Vit D was ‘normal’ at 124 nmo/L, and magnesium ‘normal’ at .87mmol/L. I decided to stop taking Vit D for the summer months and made a concerted effort to get plenty of sun for 6 months. My October 23 Vit D results were still ‘normal’ but lower at 85 nmol/L so although the results hadn’t dropped off a cliff, the Summer sun had less effect than I’d expected. I also started feeling tired again so I was not surprised with the result. In comparison, my Magnesium levels were up to 0.92 mmo/L without supplementation but I had been eating avocados and dark chocolate to see if that helped… it must have. Back on the Vit D again, I am feeling much better again after a short time. I will keep taking 5000IUs of Vid D for the next 12 months and see what results I get in October 24.
Dr.Eric shared really awesome information. Magnesium is vital mineral , which is required for almost 200 transaction in human body. Thanks Dr. Eric for sharing great awareness.
I like Dr. Berg have a problem absorbing vitamin D. I used to get terrible leg cramps when I would take the vitamin D. When I took the magnesium with it the cramps dissapeared and I am feeling much better. Thank you Dr. Berg.
Take vitamin d in morning with a healthy fat – ex- avocados, nuts or seeds with K2 vitamin drops (no calcium)
Then 2 hrs later – eat or drink calcium rich food – fortified calcium vegan products work
Before bed, take ur magnesium 🙏🏼
