I agree about cutting out alcohol. I finally accepted that it always makes me sick and gave it up. I don’t miss it! The only bad part is people get reallyyy weird about others not drinking. No I’m not pregnant. Yes I’m having fun without being drunk! Why do people care?! I’ve literally had to ask a bartender to fill a shot/lowball glass with water just to get people off my back.

    • erin on May 7, 2020 at 2:40 pm

im only 15 and i hate the taste of alcohol, all my friends drink it (im british so the drinking age is like 16 to 18 depending on stuff) my friends all want to get me drunk because I never have been and they think I would be fun and I think I would be fun too but alcohol just isn’t something I want to start drinking. from what I’ve heard, it just makes you fat sick and smell bad lmao

    • Team Köyhä Oyj on August 12, 2020 at 3:42 pm

My ex friend was depressed and anxious, borderline too, and he drank alcohol. I said to him please stop for your health and he didn’t. I needed to go out from that relationship, as he was impossible to handle drunk or not. He always ended up more depressed in a while after drinking. I drank too, because you are with who you hangout. Now I do not drink even once a week. Most alcoholic drinks are full of sugar, and it gains fat, but I do not need extra fat. People are looking at me because I am not fat, in Finland overweight is a problem!

    • Tee Miller on April 1, 2021 at 4:13 pm

Omg yes! That is so annoying smh.

    • Jennifer Armer on May 21, 2021 at 2:54 am

I finally got my gut health back and my mom and I went on a trip and I drank a glass of wine. Ughhh I had the worst stomachache. Never again

    • Nicolao Dos Santos on July 30, 2021 at 4:30 pm

I stopped drinking alcohol before I left school, two years before I went to university. Being a musician, a metalhead, I was constantly asked “why”. Same when I went vegetarian, same when I went vegan… people are so concerned fitting in. Maybe they don’t question as to why they do things, they just accept and play along. After all it is easier than to think for yourself and… well: change. That’s my guess.

  2. Krystle Holladay on October 6, 2017 at 7:18 pm

I’m not a vegan or vegetarian. But I try to be as conscious as I can with my diet I have 2 boys and I’m trying to teach them as much as I can about nutrition even though we are on tight budget. It’s always nice watching your videos you have a calming effect and you’re informative!! So just wanted to say thanks!:)

    • Ziggy Marie on October 7, 2017 at 9:42 pm

Krystle Holladay you should check out the “what the health” documentary, it’s very informative😊

    • Krystle Holladay on October 7, 2017 at 10:09 pm

vegan momma I’ve seen it:) It’s really scary isnt it! and before I watched it I was well aware of most the issues they talk about unfortunately:( Thanks so much!

    • SweetPotatoSoul on October 8, 2017 at 12:55 am

Thank you for watching!! Good for you. I credit my mom for helping me to be conscious and discerning about my food choices. Even when I didn’t eat well I always remembered my mom showing me the importance of eating more vegetables and fruit.

    • Madolyn Gabriel on October 8, 2017 at 2:32 am

If you’re on a tight budget then cutting out animal products is a really good idea. It’ll save you a lot of money.

    • albino hedgehog on October 10, 2017 at 1:32 am

Im not vegan either but really want to eat more plant based. 😊

  3. Missnurs on October 6, 2017 at 7:25 pm

I needed that! I’ve been plant based since May and hit a roadblock once I discovered “vegan” sweets. This reminds me I need to get back on track.

    • Missnurs on October 8, 2017 at 10:43 am

I will definitely try them. Thank you!

    • Candidly Claudine on November 13, 2017 at 10:50 pm

Why do you put vegan in quotes?

    • Missnurs on November 13, 2017 at 11:09 pm

Not done intentionally. Didn’t even notice until you pointed it out.

    • Josemi Posada on August 8, 2019 at 3:01 am

I been vegan for over 3 years and I love sweets 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ it’s hard for me to lose weight even though I exercise 5 days a week 😱😱😱😱 🙄🙄🙄🙄

    • CJ on January 2, 2020 at 10:03 pm

Shirley Corey homemade vegan sweets are the way to go! they’re made mostly with nuts and dates so eating them will do you a lot better than what they process into sweets

  4. Nia B. on October 6, 2017 at 7:39 pm

It’s funny that you mention the kombucha hack! Cause I’ve been doing that too to avoid drinking alcohol! My children love kombucha, they live for the fizz!!! I even put it in a wine glass lol great video!!! 😊💕

    • jay p on April 2, 2018 at 6:19 pm

omg I drink it to avoid booze as well!!!

    • Denise Jonas on April 13, 2018 at 1:35 am

I heard that alcoholics can’t have kombucha either, is that true? because it’s fermented

    • aditasu on May 19, 2018 at 2:49 pm

It’s because it contains alcohol. It should also never be given to children.

    • Bree Maack on December 29, 2018 at 12:34 am

@aditasu that’s very untrue. If th you dont give kombucha to your children because of the alcohol content then you better not feed them ripe bananas. It has the same alcohol content.

    • Sarah Sigot on August 21, 2019 at 12:09 am

Water has been a major part of my weight loss. It really helps to increase your water intake. Walking does a body good, too.

Love this video! Ive been trying to balance my diet & activity levels as I have a habit of eating/baking when I’m bored. Drinking green tea and acv until noon (intermittent fasting) has done wonders for me, I’ve lost 5ish lbs this week so now I’m working on those vegan gains 💪💪💪

    • SweetPotatoSoul on October 8, 2017 at 1:13 am

      Thanks Jesse!!

  8. awalker91180 on October 9, 2017 at 6:54 pm

I just adore your personality and your videos. You’ve been truly inspirational to me on my journey. Thank you!

Also, I have counted calories for at least 15 years. It’s exhausting and fun-sucking. Becoming plant based freed me. I no longer count calories or obsess over everything I eat. My clothes fit better. I feel better!

  9. Susan Skinner on April 5, 2018 at 3:21 am

Love this video! I’ve been learning how to saute and roast without oil, and it does work! Also, I started drinking kava some time ago when I gave up alcohol, but kava can be a bit tough on the liver, so I think I will mix things up a bit with kombucha. Thanks for the tips!

  10. QueenC baby on April 9, 2018 at 6:15 pm

I’m obese and went on a Daniels fast for 30 days with my church. I had no process foods. Fruits and veggie diet only, and it inspired me to try becoming full vegan. I lost almost 20lbs in one month. I went back to meat but now I am reconsidering making this a lifestyle because I don’t enjoy meat anymore. By the way, you are so energetic and gorgeous hunni. Keep shining

      4 Year Update?

  11. B.C. James on May 4, 2018 at 11:16 am

Thanks for the tip about adding apple cider vinegar to your water and mixing up your fiber to keep your gut guessing! Digestion is a problem for me and I always wonder why especially because I’m already vegan. But I’m totally guilty of meal repeating. I guess it’s true what they say, variety really is the spice of life!

  12. Kat Ann on December 14, 2018 at 5:24 pm

the advice at the end was the most imp for me. I was counting my calories and feeling so hungry and bloated. Now that im more plant based, my portions are larger and I feel more satisfied.

  13. JP Fitzgerald on July 29, 2019 at 12:29 am

I am 57 years old . I have gone vegan and lost 50 lb in one year .your videos are awesome thank you for sharing.

    • joyellabelle on July 13, 2020 at 11:35 am

Damn that’s impressive!!!!! Good on u dude

    • Maya P on July 14, 2020 at 10:15 pm

Kira 50 lbs is pretty good for year. Especially when your metabolism slows down as you get older. (Not saying 57 is all that old lol). Plus they may not be committed to a lifestyle of working out every and eating perfectly to specifically lose a lot of weight.

    • Ryan Estep on April 24, 2021 at 5:29 am

guys he coulda just only had 50 lbs to lose…. Congrats!

    • Terrie M on May 18, 2021 at 6:10 am

Can we talk a second about how beautiful she is? 😍😍

    • Sarah Wardley on February 11, 2021 at 7:04 pm

I know, I stare and her and see royalty. Her beauty distracts me from the video at times. Her skin, her smile, her energy and personality. God took his time with her.

    • stephanie mcguire on March 1, 2021 at 3:58 am

I was thinking the same thing!!! Will my skin glow like hers when I start vegan tomorrow!?!? <3
