I like the way you described over-fishing & the fact based health (& ethical) reasons for eating vegan.🌱As someone who didn’t care for the smell & taste of fish before becoming vegan, I luckily don’t miss it. However, I appreciate that this recipe can make it so much easier for fish lovers to eat vegan “fish”.🎉 Looking forward to seeing more of your food changes & more delicious recipes!🍠 R🍁

Thanks so much! Looks great! Fish eats algae and that’s why they have omega 3 EPA/DHA – same one we can get via algae oil (do not heat), clean and pure with no heavy metals. 🙂
I cosign that. Super Trawler nets kill or suffocate ALL types of sealife too and fish farms are sick and lack omegas. Algae oil is great for omega3
@@BirdmanVeganFuturewhat would you say of people for example that live in Iceland…their diet for thousands of years has mainly consisted of sea life. Realistically they don’t have a choice but they are happy and healthy people.
@@TheOnlyKontrol Hi, well we all have done many things for a long time, some good, lots of bad but we should strive to improve. I always consider the victims perspective, they can’t breath, move and have no choices as we typically do

sorry, but it is not “your vegan salmon recipe”, there are tons of recreations of this exact thing, and people are at least tagging original creators and saying about where they got their inspiration from. Sam posted this back in 2021 on her personal blog.
stop being rude and ignorant. there is nothing wrong in adapting different things, recipes, kitchens, diets and cultures into your own cooking, but please, don’t call them ‘mine’ and telling how ‘you’ specifically worked on this 🙂

🌴☀️Yes it HAS been a long long time I’m still a bit cross BUT…I did have your first cookbook to get me thru…I’ve made just about everything in it. RIGHT so this recipe is jaw dropping 😮I will definitely try this one as well. I love this recipe, I’ve made a variation of it before 😋. To add some omega 3s and make it taste even more fishy, I like to drizzle a little flax oil on top. It changes the mouth feel sooo much!

Yes vegan food is delicious! So much food in so many cultures is already vegan. But in the west veganism threatens many [cruel] industries and so there’s a lot of propaganda about vegan food being weird and bland.
I think a lot of chefs disparage it because you have to learn a whole new set of techniques to flavor your food and make it incredible. Those aren’t the skills they are familiar with and so try to make it seem like it isn’t good.
But more and more people are discovering vegan food is wonderful and they are learning to fix meals themselves. Not to mention the health benefits… I’m 52 and my heart calcium score is ZERO and not evidence of any plaque in my heart or arteries 👏🏽🙏🏽✨

I saw this video yesterday and RAN to the supermarket.
I made it today and wow!! I can’t really remember what salmon tastes like but this was so flavorful! I made it with a vegan butter, garlic and lemon sauce to drizzle on top to really hit that nostalgia from pre-vegan days and wow!
I’m definitely that person who binges on a meal for weeks until I get tired of it. I def know what’s for dinner and lunch for the next few weeks 🤣

I used to love fish, much more than cheese, but over the years of being vegan I forgot about and never craved it gain. That said, this recipe makes me want to give it a try. So I will 😁
I tried it and was a little dissapointed at first, because I always expect the exact flavors like in the real thing. Reheated it the next day and then it was really good! I think the fishy taste of the nori sheet was soaked up in the tofu. Maybe next time I will throw nori sheets in the marinade aswell 🙂

@@amaria164 Tofu and Nori are rich in vitamins and minerals. Tofu is a complete protein, supports heart health and can help lower risk of getting breast cancer and type 2 diabetes. Nori also has the omega 3s that fish has, but you could also add things like walnuts, flaxseeds, chia seeds and edamame to your diet to get enough since most people don’t eat nori daily.

“Why people”… the sanctimony of vegans! So many of you are so arrogant.
Indeed, also the animal protein itself is linked to higher cancer risk, plus the cholesterol, saturated fat, arachidonic acid, TMAO, and so on. You can learn more by searching “Real Truth About Health Fish” and you’ll find several doctors talking about the issues!
