I love eating pasture raised egg yolks. I mostly eat the yolks only, drain the whites.

I make my pets’ food and always add powdered egg shell to it!

      me too! 👍

Once powdered, is it a nutritional replacement for insulin spiking flour? Trying to find a way to make a bioavailable, nutrient dense ingredients to make bread.

Cool 😎 idea, indeed. Do you just use only eggshell powder without adding anything else to it?. Or do you also add some almond flour n arrow root powder to make your bread instead??

  5. @TheBhannah on June 15, 2024 at 1:52 pm

I feed the powder to my plants .

Wouldnt boiling remove any good thing?

    • @loretta6089 on June 15, 2024 at 2:43 pm

Guess not or he wouldn’t say to do it

    • @peacelove7517 on June 15, 2024 at 4:12 pm

I was actually thinking of the same thing 😂

The shell itself is where the calcium is. It is the calcium. You can’t kill it by heating it. The membrane is Biotin and good for your hair, skin, and nails. Once the shell is powdered, you can see the shell and membrane can easily be separated, so when I add it to my pets’ food, I make sure to get some of both.

I have used lemon juice with egg shells to produce calcium citrate. Now, I’m not supplementing calcium at all as I was told that it often ends up in blood vessels and not bones…I’m 72 and fairly active.

That might be where the D3 and K2 come in. He said it helps it go to the right places

  8. @Torgo1969 on June 15, 2024 at 2:06 pm

    An eggcellent idea!

  9. @loretta6089 on June 15, 2024 at 2:42 pm

Wow!!! Thats incredible. Good to know 😊

  10. @neldino1251 on June 15, 2024 at 2:48 pm

surely after boiling the membrane becomes denatured?

  11. @peacelove7517 on June 15, 2024 at 4:07 pm

Wait, isn’t calcium carbonate bad for you ???. 😳

  12. @peacelove7517 on June 15, 2024 at 4:09 pm

I’ve heard this egg shell theory years ago. However, i was kind of sceptical due to salmonella n stuff. So i just let it pass. Now i will try to do this n see how it goes. Thank you, Dr. N.Z.

  13. @Moni-ui5bz on June 15, 2024 at 4:53 pm

Interesting. I didn’t know about how beneficial egg shells are even though I’ve done just that, grind them up to add to my dogs food. They are getting a raw meat diet, but since one of them has lost a molar to eating bones, I stopped feeding them bones and give them ground egg shells instead.
