Dr Sten Ekberg have you seen this new video about most Vegetables are bad for you 🙂 if you want to watch the video you can type Vegetables are literally a scam. here on yt 😊 i don’t know if it is somewhat true but i think it would be cool to talk about there is also other videos on the channel that seem interesting like the The Obesity Conspiracy that says vegetables makes you obese 😅
@drekberg Hello, Will Lemon water and Apple cider vinegar be harsh on Teeth?
Thank you for providing practical information for diabetics. You help me feel I can take control of this disease. The medical practitioners I have encountered still only push medication. You r videos encourage me to push back, ask more questions and do something! My father’s doctor told me that I knew more about diabetes than he did. That was almost 20 years ago when I knew nothing. Not reassuring words as my father lay dying….. so think you for all that you do.
Absolutely you can control type 2 diabetes without meds! T2D is totally self-inflicted, by your lifestyle, so reverse it by better lifestyle. Stop eating all those carbs and get off the couch. Meds give you false peace, they do not reverse diabetes. Do the right thing instead. Choices matter.
Thank you @shecalledmelisalou. I really appreciate the feedback. Congratulations on taking charge and learning how to reverse the adaptation called T2D. Thanks for watching.😄
Don’t be too hard on the doctors. Legislation dictates that when a patient comes with a particular concern give this treatment, etc. Also their files get audited and prescriptions issued. It’s the legislature that is at the root of it all. All the best with your recovery.
I adapted back from IR to normal after learning from your videos thank you so much for providing such important knowledge with such honesty. many blessing and best wishes for you @@drekberg
@drekberg my gallbladder has been removed and my body no longer tolerates fat. What kind of diet do you recommend ?
Since I began intermittent fasting, usually I have a yogurt smoothie, with a portion of blueberries or strawberries, water, vanilla and cinnamon. I have my big meal to end the day (window of noon till 6 p.m.). It works for me, and some days, I don’t get hungry before 4 or 5 p.m, and skip the smoothie. Almost forgot, my lifesaver, home-brewed ginger tea w/ lemon grass & thyme, which I love, and it helped to heal my gut that was damaged by NSAIDs many years ago.
Can you share your ginger lemongrass thyme tea recipe? Sounds delicious
– Discussing the top 10 morning drinks beneficial for diabetics and general health.
– Emphasizing that these drinks can be helpful for overall health and diabetes prevention.
– Mentioning that the 10th item on the list is vegetable juice, recommending it as a substitute for sugary juices.
– Highlighting the benefits of green juice with ingredients like celery, cucumber, and leafy greens.
– Cautioning about the need for moderation with certain vegetables like kale and spinach due to their oxalate content.
Im taking acv, lemon juice and beet juice in one go. It’s an absolute bomb 😊 Make sure you don’t eat at least 1 hour after intake.
ACV is really good with sparkling water. Some additional stevia make it taste like real apple cider 😊 and a pinch of pepper and salt adds some funk to it!
Would you get the same results taking ACV before going to bed instead of in the morning? Normally, I add MCT oil to my morning coffee to get me going in the morning. Thanks!
Vegetable juice * Smoothie * Chia water * Black coffee * Green tea * Herbal tea * Cinnamon tea * Turmeric tea * Lemon water * Apple cider vinegar
Thanks!
Thanks
I can honestly say that I am one of the people that actually enjoy the taste of acv water.
Since I’ve started drinking it, I’ve found I feel somewhat heavy and sluggish if I run out of acv :/ (that’s why I usually buy it in bulk)
This is a must-watch for diabetics. Thank you Dr. Ekberg for your useful and thoughtful guidance!
I tried a little experiment yesterday. I put some cocoa powder in my black coffee. I wasn’t really trying to achieve anything, just wanted to see what it was like. It was surprisingly good, even without any sort of sweetener or fat added.
*You Did Not Choose To Be Classified As Diabetic, But You Can Choose To Fight Back Against Diabetes* 💪
interesting about turmeric’s antioxidants not being absorbed that well. Michael Plumstead recommended using turmeric, ginger and cayenne to help with diabetes and I have used it. But not always with the black pepper to increase absorption, so I guess that’s why my knees do hurt a little bit but nothing like they did. It’s all a mystery, thanks to Stan for laying it out for us. I use hibiscus tea, green tea, tulsi/lemongrass tea with monkfruit to drink during the day. also True Citrus drinks but they do have 1 g of sugar. I only recently learned to like coffee in the morning (I was a dedicated soda drinker!).
Thank you Dr. Ekberg for your videos! I’ve been a type 1 diabetic since 2010. when I started the Keto diet. I’ve never felt better physically and most importantly mentally, since I’ve always had spikes of highs and lows with traditional carbs diets. now my blood sugar has never been more in control thus helping with my continuous focus. I inject now 70% less insulin than I used to, and my acid reflux has completely gone.
I have a church friend who could care less. He eats whatever he wants but still takes insulin. He’s sick ALL the time and refuses to take care of himself. 🫤

I had a friend who also did the same. She made every one of those hideous desserts that consist of pretty much anything mixed with a tub of Cool Whip and she’d eat most of it by herself. She bought and consumed zillions of Captain Crunch cereal and ate it for breakfast and snacks. She consumed copious amounts of Coke (the sugary beverage) and made endless batches of Rice Krispie treats “for the kids 😉). And so forth. Everything was full of carbs and high in sugar.
She died young – yesterday was the anniversary of her death.
@@LilCraftyNook I know someone like that too, I know it’s hard sometimes, but they have to take care of themselves. I wish good health for everybody. Merry Christmas!
This doctor needs to be cloned and put into every medical school to re-educate doctors with correct information about health.
He is brilliant, and a gem of a person to anyone with common sense about how to improve their health in a sustained way.
I just love learning from his simple to understand videos … I respect this man immensely! 👍
True.
I wonder about the lemon water since you mentioned that it lowers PH due to its acidity. The latest kidney stone recommendations aim to increase urine PH to or above 6.5 in order to prevent the calcium and oxalates from combining in the kidneys, which is how they get started in the first place. 6.0 and lower (acidic) allows the two to form the crystals (calcium-oxalate stones). Increased Magnesium intake can be used to raise the urine PH if the person can tolerate it. FYI.
Doc Thanks for sharing this informative video. I have one other question if you don’t mind. Recently I watched a video from another Doc in YouTube saying that to put cooked rice in refrigerator for 12 hours and then start to eat the rice will lower its glycemic index dramatically. Do you think it is a true assessment? . . . It has been 8 years since I stopped eating rice due to its glycemic index, but I miss it dearly.
[9:37] Note that the carbs in skim vs whole milk are the practically the same (12g/cup vs 11.5g/cup). The main difference is more fat in whole milk ie more Randle Cycle activation = more chronic low-grade inflammation. Is there actually any advantage of whole milk vs skim milk?
I know I’ve said this many times before… but you never cease to amaze me… you’re the man I could easily talk with about science and evolution and biology for days and weeks and never get bored…
Much love sir❤
Excellent info!! Could you add some info on the morning coffee related to lactose free milk? I am milk intolerant and would like your input. Thanks a lot!
