THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!!
What would happen to your body if you were put on 48 different medications? This is the average number of medications a person takes in an assisted living home in the United States. Hal Cranmer, owner of A Paradise for Parents, and Claud Covaci, CEO of Synkwise, weigh in on the true cost of healthcare.

Please join me in welcoming Hal Cranmer and Claud Covaci! Claud is the CEO of a software company that manages the medications people take in assisted living homes. In a sampling of 100 residents, the average resident is on 48 medications. Some residents were even taking up to 91 medications! This isn’t healthcare.
In Hal’s assisted living homes, he implements programs to help people get off their medications. Many of his residents have seen a 50% decrease in medication usage. Hal focuses on diet and doesn't serve ultra-processed foods in his facilities.
Dementia is the top problem in assisted living homes and is extremely expensive, costing an average of $800,000 to $1.5 million per person. Hal explains that dementia starts in your 30s and 40s, so it’s a very difficult condition to reverse. Under Hal’s protocol, he has seen improvement, even in people with dementia.
The US healthcare system is focused on medicine, not food, but food is the most significant contributor to your health! Medications treat the side effects of junk food consumption, and the side effects of medications are then treated with more medication.
The ultimate goal should be to decrease medications, get people off them, and hopefully help them regain independence. The current healthcare model does not support these goals.
One record for a single patient shows they’re on medication for high blood pressure, cholesterol, tremors, blood clots, stool softeners, antidepressants, seizures, insulin, schizophrenia, runny nose, nausea, prostate enlargement, and more. This is insane!
Failing to address the diet before prescribing these medications misses the root cause of the problems.

Exactly why I took my mother into my home. The horrors of those homes is too frightening.
My mother used to work in a facility. The staff can be diabolical.
Exactly!!
@@Tree-thingz 😢 That is horrible! God sees all things! If they do not repent of their wicked ways, He will punish them.

Hello Max I have been saying the following to people I know since approximately mid 2020 , the entire system that operates / control’s this planet ( if THAT is indeed what IT is and I now find myself uncertain / unsure about THAT claim ) has as its core foundational support’s , corruption and everything that is built / placed on top of THOSE core foundational support’s also becomes corrupted . P.S the kind of looks on the face’s of those people I speak to tell myself a great amount about the vast majority of our species 😧☹️😉👍💯
The entire economic system is corrupt.
Assisted living or assisted killing homes?!!!!☹😢😭
They keep them alive for a while $$$$
And revenue is fantastic for both private and government..
I worked 15 years in a nursing home. They are feed highly processed food. When Hostis ( sorry bad spelling) is called 2 weeks and they always past. They give them medication.
Shame on their families.
Corridor of death!!!!
As someone who was manipulated by the system since she was 5 w dozens of different pills for over 2 decades… I fully agree. My 25th birthday is the 1 year anniversary of no pills for an entire year.. for the first time in my life. I can’t believe they still drug kids.

From utro and moments after birth.. They compromise baby’s immunities.. INTENTIONALLY.

Thank you for Sharing your experience. Glad u r on the mend.
Grew up half of my childhood in children’s homes and I’ll always remember when they took my hearing aids away because I would not take their medications just so they can keep me docile. To this day I still never took meds.
I’m 55 this year. I intermittent fast. I eat beef and chicken on a meat only diet. I have no processed food and no soft drinks or sugar. Also no alcohol. I feel amazing and feel so alert and alive and thank God, I don’t take ANY medication 🙏🏾
No vegetables?
Well done.
yup! Me too, lean meats, fish, veggies,💁♀️ except the🍸 no medical problems.
57, living on a ranch and 99% of what I eat is prepared or processed by me. 0 meds! 🙏💖
@@JohnBoon-e1n Yes. There are a lot of veggies that don’t agree with me. I feel 1000% better. Don’t believe what we have been told for years. I’m on a carnivore diet. I listen to Dr Bergs advice and it’s amazing. My life has changed for the better.
I did pet therapy in Long Term Care Facilities for about 10 years and I’ve seen the over medicated and lack of care (understaffing) bad food, etc… and it’s terrifying because I am now a senior.
You were mortified and dumbfounded?
The age of my mother is 85 today. She never ever in her life didnt take any medications. And she is in super health, lots of energy , brilliant brain and even perfect teeth. Her diet is – minimum food and very simple.
Brilliant.
You are blessed.
Its a wonderful thing to hear!!!
Exactly
I bought a blood pressure monitor and discovered I had high blood pressure. I learned that too many carbs are why this happens. I cut out 90% of the carbs and all the sugars. In 3 weeks, my blood pressure had dropped from 165 over 95 to 117 over 65. No meds needed.
This is the approach I am taking. I must do this for myself because I see the doctors aren’t
I recently bought one because I wake up multiple times a night feeling like I’m going to have a HA.
My last reading was extremely high with a BP of 112….from a sound sleep.
Heart issue? PTSD NIGHTMARES.

Many have quit, due to this intentional harm… Each one have multiple side effects (as drs know) which causes even more issues to the innocent patient. Whom are trusting the professionals…so sad
Wow!!!
The healthcare industry doesn’t want you to get well, that’s one less “customer”.

It is the Wealth Care industry!

Unrepentant, lacking a conscience capitalism that kills people who ironically enough, trust their killers.

Appalling the masses of people on medicine 💊
My husband had the good fortune to have a long time friend of ours as his doctor for his palliative care. (He had COPD) One of the first things the doctor did was get him off almost all his medication outside of lung support. No more statens. This greatly reduced his joint pain so he was more comfortable. Then came hospice at home. My step daughter, granddaughter, and I took care of him. We had lots of friends in to sit with him for visits. In the end he was mostly just on morphine to help him breathe. His passing was comfortable, peaceful, and weirdly romantic (so much love!) In 2021 we both went on healthy keto thanks to you. This bought him more time being comfortable. I wish more people could do this. I didn’t work for 2 months, I was quite a bit younger than him, and very strong physically. There are better ways.
Thank you Dr Berg for literally saving my life. I started your healthy keto lifestyle on May 11th 2023. With intermittent fasting. I eat only in a 4 hr period and fast for 20 hrs a day. I’ve lost 163 pounds so far and my health has returned 🌄👍🏼. God bless Dr Berg 🙏🏼
I am just going through my moms morning pills. She was on 19 when I moved in last month. I was like WTF. I am a chiropractor myself and very well educated in nutrition and health (I watch you all the time for MORE information) I have my mom down to 7, which I feel is still a lot. I am right n ow googling the 3 medications that are all for heart, for high blood pressure. But, my moms blood pressure daily is 100/68 consistently SO why so many meds…..I am going to cut them all in half, monitor her 2x daily and get more blueberries and garlic in her diet. Also when I moved in moms BGL’s were over 290…..now I have her stabilized under 115 BGL daily, with diet!! I can’t stand the medical society, pisses me off!! THANK YOU DR BERG FOR ALL YOUR AMAZING INFORMATION. PALMER GRAD HERE!
That’s wonderful you are so proactive in her care.
Cayenne pepper is good for the heart because it may reduce blood pressure, which reduces the load on the heart. Cayenne also has mild blood-thinning properties which can improve blood circulation and reduce the risk of heart attacks.
Amazing 👏🏼
God bless you for caring about, and caring for your mum. !!! ❤❤❤❤
God Bless You @letsdothistoday for taking over the care of your mom! I know how frustrating it is to deal with our current so called ‘healthcare’ system that lost the part CARE long time ago!
I am a physician myself and had to cut down on my working hours to care for my 81 y/o mom who lives with me.
All the best to your mom and you!
My mother is 84 and recently diagnosed with Vascular Dementia. She used to grow her own food and eat healthy until my alcoholic sibling moved in with her. The stress of dealing with that jumpstarted the dementia due to stress. She smokes and now my sibling feeds her fast food and processed food. When I stay with her she enjoys salads and meat but when I am not there she only eats junk. I do believe diet and lifestyle are key.
Oh no! Is there anyway you can intervene? That should be illegal. Praying for your mother 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@ thank you for your prayers! It is a worry but praying for guidance and wisdom.

My mother went into a home for seniors after my dad died. They took away all her vitamins and her cal/mag she was taking for her osteoarthritis and gave her pharmaceutical pills instead and calcium carbonate along with antacid pills and high blood pressure pills. She wasn’t able to eat and was passing out. She became skin and bones, almost died in there. I had to take her out and gradually take her off the prescription drugs and onto her vitamins and good supplements. She recovered wonderfully and regained her health again!
Ohmygoodness..wow
I’m surprised that the ASL home took your mom off anything and then prescribed meds. ASL homes typically and by law in my state will only dispense meds that are prescribed or approved by the residents md. Did your mom’s facility have an “in house” or “connected” doctor? That’s very shady By the way, I’m not a fan of ASL homes in general.
Fantastic truth told by a loving / caring child to parent
@ this is Canada and it was an in house doctor.

I moved my 92 year old dad from one aged care facility to another as we were concerned about the level of care. On his admission the new facility checked his meds. He was on 18 different medications including statins. The doctor took him off 16 of the 18 medications including the statin telling my Dad he didn’t need them and that there was no information available to know what the impact was of combining so many different drugs. The system is corrupt.
@@rowandowland1391 I’m so glad to hear that you found a facility that has doctors to actually advocate for their patients! I’ve always wondered how Dr’s can confidenly prescribe so many different medications without them clashing or interfering with one another… with so many different types of meds out there there is no way to know with all the possible combinations! It’s unreal & scary. It makes me so happy to hear there are actual Dr’s out there that care & also worry about these things.
Wow! Keep that Dr!!
My Dad was in an assisted living place from June 9th to August 31st in 2023. His breakfasts were great. His lunches were a lot of processed food & his dinner was mostly processed or fried foods. They served a dessert for lunch & dinner with no regard to his sugar intake. Fruits & vegetables were almost non existent. There were many problems with his medications. They weren’t given the same time every day and sometimes they didn’t get a refill on time & just skipped it. I was there everyday & saw what was happening. Most of the residents were moved in & forgotten. It was heartbreaking! I brought him home to live with my husband & I and he immediately started improving. He had 14 meds in the home & is down to 3 living with us. He has gained back his weight & is thriving. It’s hard at times & being a care giver to a 92 year old is difficult at times, but he cared & loved me all those years I was growing up. Now he can enjoy his last years with us being loved & cared for. ❤
God bless you and your husband for caring enough, to bring him to safety.
Good on you! Thanks for sharing your story of love and caring!..❤❤

It’s not only healthcare, it’s the entire government and beyond!
I am 68 yrs. I don’t eat any processed food, no sugar, no soda, no alcohol, no junk food, eat one meal a day, and fast 24hrs twice per week, no medical conditions, on no medication, and Jesus is the center of my existence. I took care of my mother (who had dementia) for 5 years before she passed away in 2016. I took her out of the nursing home who had her on 22 meds. Within 3 weeks of living with me, I did research on those meds, took her off all except insulin. Her final years she lived her best life AFTER I took her off all those meds. I’ve been following Dr. Bergs advice for years. And through prayer to God, fasting, and discipline, I’ve maintained a healthy, whole, lifestyle. All honor to God and I thank God for Dr. Berg and his colleagues. Here’s to your best life, body soul and spirit. ❤️🙏🏾👑
