In this video, I’m going to share some weight loss tips to help you achieve a flat stomach. Fat storage is a survival mechanism, but there is a limitation to how much fuel can be stored. Once your body is out of storage, fat is placed around the organs. This type of fat is called visceral fat.

If visceral fat is stored for too long, it spills into your organs. This is called ectopic fat. The good news is that when you burn fat, this is the first to go.

It’s not the number of calories that causes this excess fat storage; it’s the type of calories. Alcohol and ultra-processed foods like high fructose corn syrup cause visceral fat and liver fat.

Chronic stress can even cause your body to turn things into sugar. Poor sleep can increase cortisol and visceral fat. Certain medications, such as steroids, antibiotics, antidepressants, and anti-anxiety drugs, can also increase visceral fat.

Seed oils, refined sugars, and starches in the diet directly contribute to mitochondrial damage and visceral fat. To lose visceral fat, you need to eliminate ultra-processed calories. Instead, consume nutrient-dense foods like red meat, eggs, and fish.

HIIT exercise is the best exercise for burning fat. HIIT involves short bursts of high-intensity exercise with rest. Weight training can help reduce belly fat by increasing muscle mass. Long walks can help reduce belly fat by burning fat and reducing stress.

Vitamin B1 helps reduce stress and improve sleep. Nutritional yeast is one of the best sources of B1. Vitamin D can also help you lose weight. If you can’t go out in the sun, take at least 10,000 IU of vitamin D3. Make sure to take magnesium with vitamin D3 because it allows for vitamin D's proper function and helps improve sleep. Fasting also helps to burn fat fast by reducing insulin spikes.

Thanks Dr Berg. I have reduced my visceral fat massively in my 412 days of Carnivore. I was level 19 on my smart scales now I’m tracking 8. My body fat % reduced from 25.4 to now 15.5%. A whopping 93-pound weight loss. Over 10 inches reduced from my waist. Quitting all sugar, processed foods and seed oils is a GAME-CHANGER. Quitting carbs was the best thing I ever did. I managed to achieve this after getting a Hasimoto’s auto-immune diagnosis. This was my massive reason for starting this journey. I appreciate your knowledge, help and wisdom.

@@FrankJames4-ki3btExcept the “scariest doctor” literally holds seminars to teach thousands of doctors how to better heal their patients. Doctors need his advice bc they aren’t learning the basics in med school. Be careful where you get your information. Dr. Berg never claimed to be a medical doctor but he literally gets his info from medical books- nothing “scary” about that.

    • @judwatkins9478 on August 4, 2024 at 6:48 pm

I’ve seen this too, and people in public – all ages – have gone beyond fat to misshapen. Young teens are most conspicuous, with lumpy, distended bellies. It’s actually beyond concerning. It’s scary the way it’s too late for so many youngsters.

  8. @nancyhope2205 on August 4, 2024 at 12:26 pm

I am encouraged that the fat goes in stages. I can be confident the subcutaneous will go. I am doing 4/20 fasting and drinking lots of water.

Yes agree with what you said about long walks. I’ve been on Ketogenic lifestyle and OMAD IF since 6/2022. As part of my ketogenic and IF lifestyle, I also started my long walks– about 20 hours into my fast. I walk 5 days a week, over 50 miles a week. A do a walk over 15 miles while fasting–in a little over 4 hours and 50 minutes. I am still doing my long walks. Since I started my long walks while fasting, I lost all my visceral fat on my body. And lost over 90 pounds in over 2 years. 😊

Lots of great tips. I’ve lost 70.8lbs so far this year.

Keto & OMAD (one meal a day) from January through March. Took a break for a few weeks.

Then stopped keto and switched to OMEOD (one meal every other day) & LOTS of walking, about 35 miles per week. Just me & my AirPods. I learn Spanish as I walk.

I’m going to ride this wave to 90lbs

When my life imploded 25 years ago (so much trauma that I lost my short-term memory for 2 years) my GP told me (because I didn’t want anti-depressants) to just go on long walks in nature every day. I walked 4 hours each day in rain, sleet and snow: it took 2 years but I got my memory back. It really works for stress and trauma and to this day, I walk at least 2 hours a day.
