Just checked my supplement label and found “magnesium oxide”

    Supplement rejected

Good to know Glycinate is also the best for sleep.

      It’s best overall for health

    • @refreshingtwist on October 8, 2024 at 2:18 pm

I’ve tried it for sleep before and found it didn’t help me at all. Magnesium Citrate does, however.

    • @user.netizen11 on October 8, 2024 at 4:05 pm

It may or may not work for sleep as you intended. You could either try higher dose or try different form of magnesium. Because personally I’ve tried 3 different types of Mg including glycine one.

  4. @leialee6820 on October 8, 2024 at 9:41 am

I agree with you on the best Magnesium to take but it is very hard to avoid Mag Oxide if you want or need to take a Multi-Vitamin tablet.

    • @anon9362 on October 8, 2024 at 9:59 am

      Good to know.

    • @leialee6820 on October 8, 2024 at 10:13 am

@@anon9362 I don’t agree with him on the side effects as I have been taking it for about 30 years in my multivitamin. I think the side effects have been grossly exaggerated. He never said what else was added to that orange drink!

    • @Nyla_ on October 8, 2024 at 3:18 pm

@@leialee6820Dr. Berg talked about the colon cleanser that you have to drink before your colonoscopy.. It wasn’t abouts multivitamin. It’s because of the laxative effect in higher dose than in your multivitamin drink.

    • @leialee6820 on October 8, 2024 at 3:32 pm

@@Nyla_ Correction – My multivitamin tablet.
He is still exaggerating it because this is not the only type of Magnesium that can have this effect, there are 2 others as well which are common as take. I have heard him speak on this particular one before & his main reason for not taking it was that you only benefit from absorbing 4% of the Magnesium.

    • @Nyla_ on October 8, 2024 at 3:41 pm

@@leialee6820 he’s not wrong. Magnesium oxide is difficult to dissolved in water and that’s why it’s difficult to absorb it in body tissue.
There are a few magnesium variations that absorb much better than mg oxide. Mg Glycinate is one of them.
Well everyone is free to choose for himself.

      1. My monthly cramps with a pain scale of 10/10 came down to 2/10

      2. After an intense workout I deal with muscle ache and pains for 3-5 days, now it’s 2 day recovery max

      3. Taking before bed, I have a deeper sleep and less anxiety that keeps me awake

      4. It’s know to burn some calories too from what my hospital colleagues tell me which is a bonus for my weightloss journey

My naturopath I saw back in June told me about it and sold it to me for £30.

I speak more on it on my platform if you’re interested, recently uploaded

I got myself magnesium Gylcinat 100 mg for Asthma but found out that this small amount already forces me to sleep. First time I was scared because I had a sedating feeling. Now I devide the amount through the day and it helps me. So try a small amount first.

    • @lindadoran6062 on October 8, 2024 at 11:59 am

Does this help asthma? Has it helped you? How? I have bad asthma is why I asked.

    • @Kirkaki_2015Klang on October 8, 2024 at 1:31 pm

@lindadoran6062  Yes, it does help me to breathe easier at night. I had only 50% my lungs working and on Cortison medication. I take daily Omaga 3, Sodium Selenite, Vitamin D ( 60 in blood whole year), and Magnesium. I have eaten less sugar and other highly processed carbs for one year now. I am off all medications ( but take supplements with no side effects)and feeling very good.

Here I thought oxide was good for headaches, citrate was to help you with bowel movements, and glycinate for muscle spasms – stress reduction- and better sleep.

  18. @ricksanchez3176 on October 8, 2024 at 4:31 pm

I switched to Magnesium Glycinate as Dr. Berg suggests, and it does make a noticeable difference…. but as a Celiac…the oxide is handy to have around as flushing through a few after I get into something really reduces the reaction and shortens the symptoms. I think there is something to it increasing the affect of ibuprofen.
