The Most Fattening Ingredient in the World

You’re likely eating over 100 pounds of THIS ingredient every year—and it’s silently making you gain weight fast.

Most people think fattening foods are things like butter, fatty meats, or even table sugar. But the truth is, none of those are the real enemy. There’s one ingredient that’s snuck into nearly every processed food product—and it’s specifically designed to make you crave more, eat more, and gain more fat.

❤❤ No seed oils, keep your carbs to 20g, drink water and lemon water, green tea, organic coffee. Keep your stress down, get some good sleep, keep away from the news and listen to music. Check in with Dr. Berg’s videos if you need to. Eat raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, organic salad with olive oil or organic avocado oil, and don’t forget vitamins and nutrition. Be careful when you’re traveling, plan your menu for restaurants beforehand, and just in case, keep canned tuna, salmon, and sardines. Thanks for everything Dr Berg

    How refined starch is produced
Refined grains are milled to remove the bran and germ. This gives the grain a finer texture and improves its shelf life. However, fiber, iron, and many B vitamins are also lost in the process.

    • @Drberg on April 14, 2025 at 12:44 pm

      Thanks for sharing these facts!

This is SO true! Refined flours and starches go into the blood stream quicker than sugars and are more addicting.

    • @Drberg on April 14, 2025 at 12:42 pm

Thanks for sharing! Absolutely. Quickly turn into sugar in your body and can cause blood sugar spikes, weight gain, and nutrient loss.

A major problem is that those pure foods are usually expensive, not nearly as cheap as the processed stuff and some are much harder to find. Therefore they are out of reach for the poor or the average working class family struggling just to pay their bills and afford all the other expenses. For them it’s so much easier to keep on eating the bad stuff. So, as usual, nutritional knowledge and advice like this helps mainly well-to-do middle-aged and old able-bodied adults with time to shop and cook for themselves. I’m a vegan on SSI, although i do get supplemenntal funds for groceries. Will there will be a day when all those delicious pure foods are more affordable to the masses.

after a very sugarcoated life, i chose 12 days ago to do 3 days of fasting, after that i do the intermittend fasting 16 8. banned sugar and as much carbs as i could. i use different supps .and eat (as i always do) healthy in general. i feel so much better, i stopped amlopidine, made my legs swell. and tamsulosine, for my prostate, i think it did nothing at all. i make walks every day. and i feel i can become 100, i am 67 now. and yes i use all the right minerals andvitamines in the right amount. all thanks to you Dr Berg. Btw i am a dutch cook and live in Portugal.

Another note is to freeze your starches and carbs. It lowers the glycemic index by 34%. It increases resistant starches, which is a dietary fiber and ferments in the gut. It’s MUCH better for your gut health and microbiome. I freeze and reheat most of our grains for dinner. Its help me quite a bit.
My blood sugar doesn’t spike the way it used to. I dont feel bloated and heavy all the time. Worth it, 100%.
