Many people are infected with a disease that’s worse than the plague! The plague killed 200 million people, and in total, this bacterium has killed 1 billion! It’s the world’s deadliest infectious disease and kills more people than HIV and malaria combined. It kills around 1.3 million people each year, yet you don't hear much about it.
Latent infections such as herpes, EBV, CMV, HPV, and Hepatitis B and C are able to go in and out of remission. Today, we’re going to talk about the pathogen that gives you tuberculosis.
Tuberculosis (TB) doesn’t evade the immune system, it invades it. TB hides inside the macrophage, which is responsible for cleaning up bacteria and infections in the body.
TB affects more people in the northern hemisphere away from the equator, and its incidence increases in the winter. Older people or those with type 2 diabetes, HIV, or low vitamin D are at an increased risk of an active TB infection.
TB blocks the vitamin D receptor, which lowers your immune function. There was an uptick in TB outbreaks in the 80s when sun phobia was promoted. This campaign significantly reduced vitamin D levels by reducing sun exposure.
Before the development of antibiotics, people with tuberculosis would go to sanatoriums for fresh air and sunlight exposure. Cod liver oil was also shown to be beneficial for people with tuberculosis infections.
The immune system destroys TB with a compound called cathelicidin, a broad-spectrum antimicrobial that depends on vitamin D.
Not only is the sun vital for vitamin D production, but it also exposes you to infrared light. Infrared reverses mitochondrial damage and can increase vitamin D signaling, further protecting you from a TB infection.

Thank you very much Dr Eric Berg. I had it at the age of 7 years old when we moved to the flat where previously lived woman withTB. I was sent to hospital and treated with pills. Butter, meat helps against TB. My grandfather was orphan and also had TB in childhood. He was told to eat meat and milk butter, get sun tan every summer in the lungs area ofthe body, and it gone away.
If they say don’t do this or that, best believe I’m going to do it.
My grandmother was diagnosed with TB back in the 1930s. her doctor told her to go live outside. so my grandfather and my grandmother and their children all lived outside for the entire summer. they put up a tent and they cooked outside. they did laundry outside. everything was done outside except sleeping . she lived to be 96

The did TB test in school when I was in elementary school.
In the UK after the War all children got free bottles of cod liver oil. Also in the early 20th century TB patient’s beds were wheeled outside, so patients could get fresh air and sunshine. So this knowledge was out there then, I’m sure we all know where that knowledge went.
In the 1930’s through the 1960’s and even later, they also used to put vitamin D3 in beer, hot dogs and canned beans to name a few and it was 1 to 3 mg (not iu’s). One milligram of vitamin D3 = 40,000 iu. They no longer do it for some reason, probably has something to do with Agenda 2030 or one of the previous agendas.

Last year, I took between 40,000 to 60,000 IUs of vitamin D3 K2 daily! *I took it every day, and I felt extremely euphoric, strong, and healthy with zero adverse effects!* However, my job’s annual MD physical failed me simply because my blood lipid levels that they saw was Vitamin D, were too high by their system standards!
I knew it before from research, but empirically experiencing a MD being completely oblivious, punctuated that most MDs don’t know true nutrition or what they’re talking about. _So, I took a month off with no withdrawals, so I can just pass the physical._ *Now, i’m back on them!* 😂😎

I recently had my blood levels checked and the standard tests she ordered did not include vitamin D. RFKJ should make it part of the comprehensive checks.
In my 30’s back in 2017 i had 17 blood tests and a pee test at a dr office because of my joints. Lupus runs in the women on my dads side. It came back vitamin d deficiency. The piss was because they didn’t believe me, thought i was on drugs because i hate doctors. They were shocked I wasn’t on meds or alcohol. They didn’t even give me a hint how much to take and didn’t speak to me any longer. Just bye. We have customers to get on drugs here lady!
I was also surprised when I didn’t see the vitamin D on the test. When I inquired, my doctor told me it’s expensive so they don’t do it. I agree, it should be part of the test, and insurance company should pay it

It is not expensive, costs less than most of the tests they order. However, insurance will often deny payment for it.
Here in Quebec they stopped testing for it, my MD told me the Government wont pay for it anymore as its too expensive. She prescribes a cheap generic vit D from the local pharmacy she said ‘ everyone is Vit D deficient’ I wont take this cheap Vit D. My 76 y/o mom takes dr Bergs Vitamin D & K2 and I’m thinking of trying Cymbiotika’s Vit D.

My Gr grandfather died from TB. Thank you for putting this information out there. I never use sun block at all even though I have fair skin. Besides all the nasty chemicals in it, I prefer light weight cover ups or hat if I’ll be at the beach or out in the sun too long. Vitamin D plays such an important roll in our health I try to get outdoors even just a few minutes a day.
Same, fair skin that burns, never use sunscreen as it irritates my skin, its worse than the sun, not seeing the sun is causing depression and other illnesses that’s what they want
I think it’s 15-20 minutes of unfiltered sunlight (no sunscreen) per day, but may be longer depending on location/time of year.
I’m 59 and have medium skin tone thanks to my 1/2 Colombian dad, so I don’t burn often. I’ve spent my life outside in the weather, primarily without sunscreen. I have sun damage some wrinkles, but no skin cancer and good vit d levels. I do take k2 every day and d3 in winter.
Even when I’ve said I’ll start wearing sunscreen and apply in morning, I never reapply every 2 hours, so no benefit of sunscreen for me.
I do wear long sleeve spf 50 shirts daily that are moisture wicking, mainly to keep from cutting arms up. Even with these, all day sun exposure, spf 50 doesn’t keep all sun out thank goodness ❤
😂 I have lighter skin from my Mom but Native American from Dad. After that first beach burn, which I try to minimize I get toasty brown afterwards. A little older than you but still no wrinkles and everyone guesses 15 to 20 yrs younger. The ingredients in sunscreens bother me too. So I wear a white cotton cover up or cotton shirt in the garden. I guess its working so I’ll keep it going. 😊

I went to the dermatologist. She tells me to stay inside where sunscreen all over my body and don’t get out in the sun. I just smiled and didn’t say anything. There’s no way that I am going to stay in the house and not go outside in the fresh air in the sun. I believe God made nature and the sunshine for our benefit.
My sil worked for a dermatologist and said one should wear sunscreen indoors even on cloudy/rainy days. I don’t know what my face did, but my brother left the room. The next day he told me he had to leave the room to keep from bursting out laughing, that the look on my face was priceless.
Wait until you read the studies on the efficacy of sunscreen, and if you’re low carb, keto, or carnivore, sunscreen is a net negative

I use coconut oil and carrot seed oil on my skin if I am going to be out all day. I just mix it in my palm and put it on. I have a large property with a pond and garden.

@yajrewop4672 I have taken 20,000 a day for a cancer protocol, my D levels are at the high end of NORMAL. I am going back to it. I stopped all protocol and supplements for two surgeries as they don’t want you taking anything and have not gone back, I did myself a disservice.

Dr. Berg this one hit home hard for me in ways I just recently discovered, from researching family oral and documented history. In 1906, TB killed my paternal grandmother at 41 in a midtown Manhattan rear tenement. Life was brutal for New York City’s poor in those tenements. Census and family death records showed me that there were at least 6 more TB or lung disease related attributed deaths in that family, in a ten year period – a grandmother from TB and “senile debility”, an infant daughter at 2, a son in law at 30 (who incredibly, worked as a restaurant waiter and no doubt passed the infection on to customers), two infant brothers whose deaths at 18 months and 3 yrs were attributed to dysentery, cholera and TB… and ultimately, my paternal grandfather, from pneumonia (TB?) when my father was 15 yrs old. There were four door neighbor families, whose children were schoolmates of my father’s, also lost multiple members -old and young – to TB in this same decade. Twenty-five years later, when my father was a new med school student, he did a TB skin test on himself and it was also positive, probably from years of exposure from family. Since he had recently moved to Southern CA to attend school in Loma Linda, he never showed any symptoms, probably due to the sunny climate, and one year later his skin test was negative. The last known victim was in 1955, his only full-blooded sister, a semi invalid who was brought to SoCal in the hope of improving her health, died at 48 in a sanitarium in San Diego of breast cancer and decreased lung function, which her doctor attributed to scarring from TB. Of an extended family of 12-14 people, only two lived past 50 – my father who died at 95, and a half sister who died at 84, and who, although she was the one who had to nurse all these victims and told me stories about them, never even had a positive skin test!. Talk about the gift that keeps on giving.

I grew up in the 80s. We didn’t put on lotion and we were outside every day running around all day long in the summer and after school during the school year. I think we see more Vit D deficiency related illnesses because kids today wear sunscreen and are not outside as much.

I’m old enough to remember that when I was a kid, 90% of residents homes had no air conditioning. Everyone stayed outside because it was cooler than being inside. A time when outdoor kitchens were a luxury and going to an air conditioned theater was a dream.
You have to get sun and fresh air. I have mold allergy and our senior section 8 really messes with me. After my colonoscopy I got a slight viral infection. If I stay indoors I’m coughing more, and runny nose. I go outside away from my apartment and building I’m much better. My Dad was an Analytical chemist bacteriologist doing research in cancers and TB at Guys hospital in London. He worked 12 years at Mount Sini hospital in Manhattan and 23 years at VA hospital in the Bronx. He always said, your more likely to die from the germs and bacteria from the hospital tan you are from your illness.
My grandmother had TB. They removed 9 ribs and a lung, She was on the terminal list and was the 2nd person to get Streptomycin at the sanatorium where she spent 5 years. She survived came home and went back to work. She worked at Mercy hospital until she retired.

We’ve gone from wheeling TB patients outside to warning people not to go out without SPF 100.

i agree sunlight and fresh air, especially ocean air, can have a rejuvenating effect on your health! many old sailors who were dying insisted on going back out to sea, bought a sailboat, left their families, and and sailed off alone! and many of them returned to their families many years later cured of their chronic ailments and in great shape! So yes i’m a firm believer in living near the coast and getting plenty of sun and fresh air! When i lived in Thailand I never felt better in my life, and I was in my 50’s, was very sick and basically went there to die! I returned to the US looking and feeling amazing! but back in the states for many years I’m once again fighting to stay above ground and feeling like crap! I’m now pushing 70, guess where I’m going to spend the rest of my years? Yep, back to Asia, and to stay on an Island country! Shark steaks on the barbie here I come!
