Thanks again Dr. Berg! I eat the wild strawberries out of my yard. There’s no pesticides there although I have to watch out for bugs and make sure it’s not where the dogs go.

      Extra flavour. Just rinse them

I used to have rhubarb in my garden and it’s my dog’s favourite place to pee.

I read somewhere recently that organic doesn’t necessarily mean no pesticides, it means that there are no synthetic pesticides. Is this correct Dr Berg?

    • @ToreMikalSchanke on June 19, 2025 at 11:07 am

I can assure you, generally. But, the crop veggies are generally the least poisonous. Or the parts you don’t eat, like the green parts of a potato or Tomato, are the poisonous parts.
But, most synthetic pesticides are regulated in a way that protects you from poisonous effects.

    • @cheesehead4209 on June 19, 2025 at 11:11 am

It’s impossible to avoid everything these days. They even found micro plastics in organic vegetables and fruits.

    • @briannave7326 on June 19, 2025 at 11:33 am

I’m a farmer and I’ve been applying pesticides and eating foods that have had pesticides applied to them for a long time. I’m 84 and really healthy.

    • @codyfrye6361 on June 19, 2025 at 11:47 am

      I heard that too.

As i understand , the best way to get most healthy food and meat ,Is having a farm and plant anything which do you want and feeding hen and cow

  4. @andreabryant9979 on June 19, 2025 at 10:56 am

    Avocado, cabbage, onions, asparagus,
    Eggplant, cauliflower, broccoli
Btw, using ground cauliflower for rice is an excellent substitute.
FYI > My vision improves when I eat cauliflower and broccoli! Also, my eyes feel less dry when I eat avocados. 🥑

  5. @mariantebb6730 on June 19, 2025 at 11:03 am

Organic, if you can afford it.

    • @paulachin9130 on June 19, 2025 at 3:46 pm

They say its organic but don’t trust them.

  6. @shirbot on June 19, 2025 at 11:15 am

How do you suggest we clean them ? Baking soda/ vinegar?

    • @BelovedGreenMagick on June 19, 2025 at 2:45 pm

You cannot clean pesticides off of fruits and vegetables. They are inside of the plant and fruit systemically. Dr. Berg has this one wrong (except his very last statement to always buy organic. That is 100% correct.). The only way to avoid pesticides is to buy organic. Pesticides cannot be washed off! Sadly, Dr. Berg has been lef astray by the EWG’s erroneous publication of the dirty dozen.

Again, you cannot wash away pesticides no matter how much you scrub! Pesticides are designed to be absorbed by the plant, and pesticides are in every cell of the fruits and vegetables you eat unless you are eating certified organic.😢

  7. @kindcrone on June 19, 2025 at 11:29 am

Former regenerative small farmer here. Onions may not be sprayed with pesticides, but conventionally they ARE SPRAYED with HERBICIDES. Safer to buy organic.

  8. @skpince on June 19, 2025 at 11:52 am

Buy organic foods, great. Growing your own organic veggies, priceless. Thank you, Doc! ❤

    • @rorosanchez1538 on June 19, 2025 at 2:10 pm

Hard to do if you live in an apartment building. Wish it were possible somehow.

    • @cmc8176 on June 19, 2025 at 4:56 pm

@rorosanchez1538 It’s possible. Place the box plant on the windowsill.

  9. @diverdave4056 on June 19, 2025 at 12:05 pm

And we read that many foods that are sold as Organic… are not actually Organic

    • @Lll-rm1js on June 19, 2025 at 1:34 pm

Yes, however if youre buying from a reputable store then the organic line is most likely certified, monitored or regulated, which means it is less or not likely to contain any pesticides compared to openly sprayed produce. Its more beneficial to mitigate rather than dismiss the issue with pesticides and just opt in for the sprayed stuff

    • @Boogerboys1990 on June 19, 2025 at 1:35 pm

Non gmo verified project. Still use many sprays. Usda organic cannot use aerosol sprays. Big difference.

    • @BelovedGreenMagick on June 19, 2025 at 2:28 pm

No you don’t. Dumbest thing I’ve heard this morning

  11. @the.man.invisible on June 19, 2025 at 12:42 pm

Grow as much food as you can, then go organic, then natural fresh then frozen EXC..😊

  12. @chriswflee on June 19, 2025 at 12:43 pm

Are they REALLY organic? That’s the question and a big concern…

    • @Lll-rm1js on June 19, 2025 at 1:33 pm

Chris, the “REALLY organic” foods you grow yourself.

  13. @macm7730 on June 19, 2025 at 12:44 pm

Bell papers are also on the dirty dozen 😅

  14. @davidbgooch9587 on June 19, 2025 at 1:04 pm

So being allergic to fruit is paying off for once. No pesticides in me

  15. @astridowl9784 on June 19, 2025 at 1:06 pm

Poor American… I feel blessed to live in a small country 🇨🇭 that has ferocious rules and regulations when it comes to pesticides and other poisons.

  16. @debraaustin5716 on June 19, 2025 at 1:22 pm

I saw a video of someone testing a bunch of organic fruits and veggies from a grocery store, and 60% of them tested positive for glyphosate. I eat carnivore, and I feel great. My LDL and triglycerides, which have been high my whole adult life, are dropping, and my HDL is going up. I’m done with poisonous food for good.

I bought a non-organic Dole brand head of cauliflower this week and had to throw it out. It tasted extremely bitter, like they over sprayed it with chemicals/poison. It also had a weird texture to it. Only organic cauliflower from now on.
