In this video, we’re going to take a look at a simple natural solution for cataracts. Cataracts can be described as cloudiness or opaqueness of the lens of the eye. They are the number one cause of blindness and are typically treated with surgery.

Too much oxidative stress can lead to cataracts. Oxidative stress occurs when there’s too much oxidation in the body and not enough antioxidants.

Too much oxidation in the eye mainly stems from sugar consumption. If you have too much sugar in your blood, four main tissues are affected: the nerves, kidneys, arteries, and eyes.

Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol that creates inflammation and glycation—and it tends to accumulate in the eye, creating cloudiness.

Sorbitol can affect the retina of the eye and the cells that compose the myelin in your nerves. It can also increase the pressure in your eye, contributing to conditions like glaucoma.

If you have cataracts, you need to change your diet and eliminate sugar. There is also another solution that may help.

L-carnosine is a powerful antioxidant that works within the mitochondria and has anti-glycation and anti-aging effects. It also acts as a pH buffer.

L-carnosine is an excellent option for the prevention and reversal of cataracts, but on its own, it can’t penetrate the eye. N-acetylcarnosine (NAC) is a compound that allows carnosine to penetrate the eye.

Research has shown promising effects of using a one percent solution of NAC for conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.

Try using one to two drops of N-acetylcarnosine in each eye two to three times per day. Also, try taking NAC with zinc. Zinc is a powerful antioxidant and is important for NAC to be properly utilized in the body.

I went through the surgery one year ago and it was amazingly simple and easy with no issues. My eyes felt dry for a couple days and I was tired from the drugs when i first got home. Thats it, no pain no problems. I actually drove home after surgery, although this is not recommended. I now no longer require prescription glasses for day to day stuff and im very happy with the results. I need readers to read books close up or food ingredients and things like that. Cost me 4k dollars for fancy lenses.

The authors studied a small sample, admittedly, but the results look great, esp. after 24 months. A small excerpt from the abstract here for anyone who’s interested:
“After 6 months, 90% of NAC-treated eyes showed improvement in best corrected visual acuity (7 to 100%) and 88.9% showed a 27 to 100% improvement in glare sensitivity.”

I was diagnosed with cataracts in June 2023 and was to have surgery in August 2023. Well, after seeing Dr. Berg’s information on cataracts, I ordered from Amazon Can-C eye drops. I applied two drops in each eye for about 2 or 3 weeks, and I started seeing better. It is December, and it is time for my annual eye examination. I am 72 years old. Eye examination results: Right eye is 20/20, left eye is 20/25. NAC eye drops work wonders. And NO cataracts.

Thank you for this. I just had a meeting with a specialist. He told me I had cataracts, retinal detachment, floaters (massive — as if I didn’t know!) and one other odd disease. All in all my eyes are bad. His recommendation: wait for cataract surgery sometime in the future. Otherwise nothing. Here, Dr. Berg offers a suggestion which might be useful to prevent, slow or even reverse the cataract situation. It may work, it might not, but it is certainly worth the try. I will. Again, thank you.

  11. @wmcomprev on December 24, 2023 at 9:43 pm

Be careful, the term “NAC” is used in this video to refer to the N-Acetyl version of Carnosine. The term “NAC” is normally used (probably 99% of the time or more) to refer to N-Acetyl-Cysteine. N-Acetyl-Cysteine comes in pill or powder form and is a wonderful substance, but isn’t the same thing. If you simply do a search for “NAC”, the results you get will likely be for N-Acetyl-Cysteine, not N-Acetyl-Carnosine. You’ll need to put the full name into your search if you’re looking for N-Acetyl-Carnosine.

    • @JonathanOvnat on December 24, 2023 at 10:09 pm

Our elderly cat (he was about 11 at the time) had a large cataract over the one eye. I sent away for some NAC and we put the drops in his eye every day, two to three times a day. After 2 weeks this cataract (which had covered the whole of the pupil) had completely gone! I must say, I had been a bit sceptical when we sent for it, but it worked! I certainly would use it myself if I ever find I have cataracts.

  14. @PirateVerse on December 25, 2023 at 10:06 am

    Takeaways:

    1. Cataract is a cloudiness in the lens of eye.
    2. It caused by oxidative stress ( rusting) – more oxidation less anti oxidation.
    3. High sugar in blood leads to this.
    4. Mitochondria in eyes are damaged during oxidation.
    5. Cataracts people also have all sorts of sugars. They have Glaucoma, nerve degeneration etc..
6.L- Carnosine in mitochondria is Ph buffer, anti oxidation, anti aging.
So use N-acetylcarnosine (NAC). Use 1 to 2 drops twice or thrice a day. It’s cheap and safe.
