Most welcome, Carlos! Hope it helps!
My mom keeps repeating what doctors told her about potassium that is bad for you. 😢
@@Drberghello doc! I was wondering what form of potassium? Citrate? Chloride? Going to place an order but I need to know which form of potassium supplements I should be aiming for? Thank you
@@Drberghow do we get it though Dr.? Thank you
@@TacoBellCheatDay Eat avocado and sweet potatoes. They both contain a lot of potassium.
not magnesium?
The body burns through more potassium than magnesium daily that’s why you generally only need around 400-600mg of magnesium (unless you have server deficiencies) but as Dr berg states potassium has a daily requirement of at least 4700mg.
@genefuser yes much more .. but he said the most overlooked .. seems magnesium gets overlooked a lot more than potassium.
I know in fact I don’t get enough potassium, so I started looking for coconut Waters that didn’t have it removed .. anybody know if I should be looking elsewhere?
Hello Brian! Potassium deficiency is often overlooked. It’s difficult to diagnose, and symptoms of a potassium deficiency are sometimes vague. Early symptoms often include difficulty breathing, fatigue, and heart palpitations. Check this out! 👉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kI98hD_Hrs
@Drberg cool thunx .. am I on the right track with coconut water .. I’m always on the lookout for the highest concentration as well as the purest form if they go together
I was thinking magnesium
Me too
4700mg? lool
Me too
That much magnesium would completely destroy your sleep quality not to mention the temperament issues
I was thinking the same, but before I watched. I went by the title!😂😂😂
My granddaughter was just diagnosed wuth type 1 diabetes and was really poorly. They said her potassium levels were awful
When I was told that my potassium was low, my doctor told me to eat bananas. (I have Type 2 diabetes.) I quickly got sick of eating bananas, so now I take a supplement. I hope your granddaughter is doing better!
Avocados have more potassium than even bananas.
@@Yarnmama123bananas cheaper, easy, and fast to eat.
Oh no!! Take her to Yahki Awakened! That’s his website too, RUN DON’T WALK!!!
@@bonagrad92Thanks for the info!!!
What if you have kidney damage? You’re not supposed to eat a lot of potassium.
Hello. Please explain the damage in detail so I can provide guidance. I’ll keep an eye on my notifications.
@@AymanB I am not the questioner, but my creatinine is 35%. I would love to hear from you.
Google foods that nourish the kidneys.
Kidney damage is best treated at the hospital by experts.
It’s like when you get run over by a truck: you don’t go asking for a supplement or home remedy to fix your broken bones
I knew it’s potassium when you said we need 4700 mg a day!
Me too right away
I found it out thru chemo, it’s part of the first solution I have to take every week. It bolsters the immune system, so it’s quite timely to hear too.
Potassium only works if you have an equal level of magnesium. Both minerals need each other.
How can I measure that?
@@carmenroman7172 I was told if I take ca 240mg of Magnesium glycinate daily and potasium rich food several times a day, I’ll be right. They are avocado, banana, dried apricots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, spinach, Greek joghurt, salmon, cod and quite a few more. Check Google.
Especially for people taking a water pill ( like myself). Thanks for getting this important information out !
I just read that you are taking a water pills. Advice, stop immediately, as he will get the fluid from everywhere, even the eyeball fluid, which can cause the retina to detach. There are plenty of natural remedies to expel moisture.😉
Most welcome, John. This information might be of interest! 👉 https://www.drberg.com/blog/the-highest-potassium-foods
@@Drberg Did not know Salmon was a good source of potassium & I can eat it on carnivore! Thanks!
So true. My potassium depleted when I was on a diuretic that was coupled with my BP med. I started to pass out in my car (and actually before). Called 911 when I quickly was getting worse. Made my first ambulance ride to the ER. Was glad to get rid of the pills!
Hard to find ! Organic cold pressed raw coconut
Walmart frozen section .. toss it in a smoothie
Potassium is in many fruits and vegetables and not difficult to find at all. Avocadoes are rich in potassium, for example.
I notice Berg seems to advocate very expensive foods bought only at FooFoo stores and for rich people.
God bless this man so much. I wish him long life and more prosperity. The planet needs people like him if we are going to survive.
I ordered dr bergs potassium supplement and let me tell you, it works! Within two days i had more energy and my muscle cramps went away immediately
Y for supplement it’s easily available naturally don’t supplement everything it will damage the organs
So !!!
how do we get it ???
How. ??
bananous
Banana, Avocado, Green Vegetables, potatoes, Red Meat
@@NoRoidsStrongJoints young jackfruit. is the best
And through high quality supplements, for instance Solgar.👌
Eat foods that are rich in potassium, like avocado, beets, squash, spinach, and salmon.
If i get a leg cramp i take it
That’s usually magnesium though.
Yes and it’s what leads to high blood pressure. I’m just surprised there’s not a better supplement for this
Dr Berg has an electrolyte mix and potassium glycinate. Both have huge amounts of potassium
@@torkjoy1I saw him mention that but it’s interesting he was also talking in another video about getting too much potassium at once which was about 25% of the daily recommended which I thought was odd. Still I definitely think it’s good to have those electrolytes on hand for when you really need them
Ileostomy patients constantly have to monitor it, and you have to take it in measured doses throughout the day to keep the blood levels optimized, since it fluctuates.

Yeah but then you’re peeing every 10 minutes.😂
thats why you need potassium not you peeing because consume potassium
Thanks for sharing!
I was sort of surprised to hear it’s potassium. But I know one can be seriously ill, fataly perhaps, when potassium levels are too low. Was on a pill that depletedy my potassium levels.
I started feeling like I was going to pass out in my car on the highway when it happened fully.
In the ambulance, the dude kept telling me I was hyper ventilating… I could barely breath, was unbelievably dizzy, and still felt like passing out, even though laying down.
In the ER, I threw up the potassium pills, my stomach started cramping and couldn’t eat right for weeks. A friend showed up just in time for the gal checking me in to ask questions I couldn’t answer. I knew the answers, I just couldn’t seem to put thoughts into full sentences.
Scary.
Before this, my knees would hurt really bad if my potassium was low. It seems that I still need to keep an eye on my levels, despite being taking off the med years ago.
Banana prices just went up 😉
You can’t eat enough bananas to come close to what the daily recommended amount of potassium. You would have to eat like 50 bananas.
@@SingleMaltBuckeye The number is 10 bananas…try again.
