    not magnesium?

    • @genefuser on July 22, 2025 at 11:26 am

The body burns through more potassium than magnesium daily that’s why you generally only need around 400-600mg of magnesium (unless you have server deficiencies) but as Dr berg states potassium has a daily requirement of at least 4700mg.

    • @brianburgess3231 on July 22, 2025 at 11:39 am

I was sort of surprised to hear it’s potassium. But I know one can be seriously ill, fataly perhaps, when potassium levels are too low. Was on a pill that depletedy my potassium levels.

I started feeling like I was going to pass out in my car on the highway when it happened fully.

In the ambulance, the dude kept telling me I was hyper ventilating… I could barely breath, was unbelievably dizzy, and still felt like passing out, even though laying down.

In the ER, I threw up the potassium pills, my stomach started cramping and couldn’t eat right for weeks. A friend showed up just in time for the gal checking me in to ask questions I couldn’t answer. I knew the answers, I just couldn’t seem to put thoughts into full sentences.

    Scary.

Before this, my knees would hurt really bad if my potassium was low. It seems that I still need to keep an eye on my levels, despite being taking off the med years ago.
