Better known as Nigella seed (or Kalonji). And black seed (or habat barakah = blessing seed), as known in Arabic.

We usually make coffee with grinded kalonji. Industrial made black seeds available in market is not good. They are made with heavy pesticides..Better cultivate at home

I take this stuff. Well. I did until Gabapentin ruined my brain. 24/7 withdrawal like symptoms for 2 years (so far)
Seems like anything that directly or indirectly affects my GABA receptors makes me have an intense reaction similar to benzo withdrawal. What a horrible 2 years. I wish you had a cure for this one lol. I can’t even use mouthwash with alcohol, the trace alcohol sends me into the same withdrawal. THC affects me differently now. The effects are simply a panic attack and low blood pressure. Black seed oil and turmeric both do it too. L-theanine… Ibuprofen…. Antibiotics…. Antivirals… Cannabinoids, even CBD… MSG, caffeine… Kava kava. Ethanol… Ashwagandha …. Tylenol… gluten, sugar alcohols in protein bars.. and probably a thousand other things….I can’t take any of them. Even magnesium has this effect.
If I eat a piece of fruit that is a bit old, trace alcohol from any amount of fermentation is like I relapsed and it’s day 1 again. And it stays at that level of intensity for at least 3 weeks. I feel like I have the flu and a panic attack simultaneously every day of my life when I never had anxiety a day in my life before. Nobody knows how to help me. Neurologists have no idea. About 8 other doctors and various nurse practitioners also had no idea. Not much data on the internet…. Anything they give me to help makes it worse.
Somebody help me. I won’t live long like this.
Stay far away from gabapentin, pregabalin and phenibut guys. They’re from hell.

    • @BommyYabbadabbadoobadoo32112 on April 8, 2025 at 10:34 am

@Tizniz Perhaps you need even stronger plants, like kambo or ayahuasca. Kambo is not psychedelic and cleanses you out like crazy. But if the problem is of a more spiritual nature (which I suspect it is) I would try ayahuasca. The place I can recommend is Temple of the Way of Light in Peru, but there are certainly many more great places to do it. I wish you luck and healing on your journey

    • @juliayelle2942 on April 8, 2025 at 10:41 am

Gosh so sad for what u go thru.
Medical field is so clueless. Drugs not answer. Find a naturopathic, chiropractor, acupuncturist and physical therapist that has studied in Poland or other countries. We must look outside ‘their’ box. I know it is so very hard for me also.
I ask God for help. Read my Bible and ask for Healing.
      Try to stay strong.
Accept Jesus as your Savior so be in heaven. That is my goal thru it all! 😢❤

There’s something in the black seed oil that can be dangerous to the liver. Can you delve into this more Dr Berg?

    • @pieraspisso4265 on April 8, 2025 at 11:16 am

Also taking turmeric at go go is not safe for the liver ( Ayurveda) .

    • @sstills951 on April 8, 2025 at 2:25 pm

I figured there was a caveat. Dang it.

    • @Drberg on April 8, 2025 at 2:38 pm

Hello there! Black seed oil is generally safe for most individuals when used in moderation. However, there are some precautions to consider 👇
      Potential Side Effects:
      Upset stomach or nausea.
      Allergic skin reactions.
      Who Should Avoid It:
Pregnant women, as it may cause uterine contractions.
People with bleeding disorders or those taking blood-thinning medications.
Interactions: Black seed oil may interfere with certain medications, so consult a healthcare provider before starting supplementation.

    • @AMentorway4u on April 8, 2025 at 2:50 pm

Should mention this as it is potentially dangerous

    • @Abbasblesseddaughter on April 8, 2025 at 3:02 pm

It’s food. It’s cumin. If you can’t eat cumin you shouldn’t eat this. Taking pills for pain is far more damaging.

My African grandmother used this her entire life. Her skin was always incredibly youthful, smooth, and glowy so much so that even doctors were stunned whenever they saw her bare skin, right up until she passed at 89. None of us liked the smell growing up, but now that I’m older, I’m seriously thinking about using it myself.

    • @Moa-u7f on April 8, 2025 at 5:29 pm

What smell does it have? Can it not be mixed with a fragrant essential oil? Or did she ingest it and it caused the smell to come out her pores?

    • @pg6776 on April 8, 2025 at 6:53 pm

I don’t like the taste or smell but it does work well.

  16. @reddedhed on April 8, 2025 at 4:07 pm

Seeds oils arent the problem folks, heat processed oils of any kind are the ones to avoid, cold pressed oils are the ones to look for, and this technically isnt a “seed oil”, its seeds crushed and infused into an oil to make it easier to apply or ingest. You cud eat a few black cumin seeds instead of putting in into the oil as well. If we jumped as many ropes as we do conclusions we’d be much healthier😉
