Thank you! Well needed! Can you make a video talking about estrogen and how we can balance or increase it. I have noticed many people lately suffering from PCOS, this information was very helpful. Thank you Dr. Berg once again ❤

@DrEricBergDC Dr Berg, I have suffered from PCOS my whole life. My doctor has me on some hormones and they are not enough but because of my system, they are the strongest ones that she can give me and it be safe for my heart. My last estridiol test was only 9. I don’t eat a lot of sugar. If I do eat a normal amount of food I will start gaining weight like crazy . I love to eat raw vegetables and things like that and I snack on those a lot I eat a lot of chicken. My diet is extremely simplified because I don’t really know all the things that I could possibly eat and it help me. I have noticed that lately I started a new medication for another health problem and I am noticing that I am starting to lose weight. I believe that I have an undiagnosed situation and I’m hoping at some point that someone can help me. I have a couple of health problems that cause me pain, but I keep on, and I always will. But it would sure be nice if my weight gain and weight loss would balance and the PCOS not be so bad. I’m 48 years old, and I was diagnosed with PCOS at my first visit to the lady doctor when I was 16. It’s truly been my entire life. I know I’m only 48, but I feel really tired most of the time.😅

Another reason to not buy a multivitamin or any kind of vitamin that is in gummy form.

How to get off the sugar addiction though?

    • @fendertremolo498 on October 30, 2023 at 5:07 am

Healthy keto diet. Supplementing l-glutamine also curbs cravings for sugar and alcohol. Both worked for me.

    • @guysumpthin2974 on October 30, 2023 at 5:13 am

Lots of green raw vegetables, lettuce, cucumbers… it was proven (40 yrs ago) that the enzymes in raw greens will eliminate the cravings for simple sugars & alcohol

    • @gigilesnac7726 on October 30, 2023 at 5:44 am

Use turmeric and ginger daily to get rid of sugar addiction.
Stop eating all things that are sugary, also breads, pasta.

    • @cindyhesse5196 on October 30, 2023 at 5:33 pm

Strict carnivore. (Plus a little coffee if you want.)

    • @yourconnection9303 on October 31, 2023 at 6:01 am

In case you missed it, I mentioned in another comment that “Stevia” is a natural herb sweetener which two of my Master Herbalists recommended to me. I use both the liquid and powder form – depending what I’m adding it to. And because it’s so much sweeter than sugar, you only need very little.👌. I wish I would have known about it a lot sooner.

I like the simplicity of the message.

    • @guysumpthin2974 on October 30, 2023 at 5:16 am

Correction, white sugar WILL weaken your immune system and the flu grows in your stomach on white sugar . The field refining stage adds toxic chemicals, not found on the ingredients list

    • @1983mohana on October 30, 2023 at 5:46 am

I saw a dr Karan video where he said they have found out recently that a type of bacteria causes Pcos pcod problems. More research is going on this. So maybe you can ask your doctor about this. All the best.

I live on a tropical island known to harbor staph bacteria. Twenty five years ago I had a small infection on one toe, ate a Snickers bar on empty stomach, before I finished said bar, I could feel the little buggers( staph) drilling straight down into the bone with a horrible burning sensation! I fully aware of what sugar can do to the body in real time. Thanks again Dr Berg, your contents are of use to humanity!( by the way, I haven’t got staph in 25 years!)

Thank you Dear Dr. Berg. You helped me to be able to avoid sugar easily. I don’t have craving for sugar or processed carbs and food.

  10. @johnbrand1893 on October 30, 2023 at 8:12 am

Fascinating info about sugar, I went on a diet for a year, exercised 3 times a week, lost 70lbs, sugar was one thing I cut out, and l also noticed my health improved (no colds or feeling unwell) 👍

  11. @NadiaSeesIt on October 30, 2023 at 12:16 pm

I have no vices or addictions EXCEPT sugar. I don’t even drunk or overeat, but my sweet tooth makes me over weight. This week, I’m starting an anti-inflammatory diet with no added sugar to jump start a stop to this addiction.

We don’t call it an addiction enough. It causes so many issues. Best of luck to anyone else out there trying to unlearn bad habits!

    • @cindyhesse5196 on October 30, 2023 at 5:32 pm

The only thing that worked after 40 years of every diet imaginable is carnivore. I’m never getting away from this way of eating…I feel like a completely new person. Every sugar craving completely gone.

    • @sewfab7805 on October 31, 2023 at 12:14 am

Good luck to you. I have the same addiction. I can’t seem to shake it!

    • @cindyhesse5196 on October 31, 2023 at 12:20 am

@@sewfab7805 It took just three weeks of strict carnivore to lose cravings. In the beginning though, I would cut bacon into small strips, fry them up, and keep them in the fridge. When a craving gripped me, I’d put just a dab of cream cheese on them and eat a few. It worked every time.

    • @melindalancaster9648 on October 31, 2023 at 11:52 am

It takes a little while to get off sugar start out slowly

    • @Dave.... on November 1, 2023 at 7:06 am

I used to be the same way. There was a time and point in my life where I didn’t track nothing I ate. I’d eat tons of sugar all day, tons of bread, boxes of juices done in hours, whole packs of cookies after devouring a pizza then ice cream.

Then in these recent years it literally felt like I was about to die. So I started laying attention more, realized there was a ton of food intolerances. It was very hard in the beginning but eventually cut them out. During this whole time I was still eating a lot of sugar but I was at least counting my intake this time.

Went from diet to diet to diet. Until I eventually realized I can only tolerate meat. So this is probably the only time I’ve had no sugar in any form not even natural. The diet before this I was consuming natural sugar from fruits and other natural carbs like sweet potatoes. But has to cut those out to because my autoimmune issue was so bad. Good luck to you!

  14. @suzemurray1257 on October 30, 2023 at 6:18 pm

SUGAR is the biggest cause of many human diseases/inflammatory conditions. Since in menopause my body rejects all sugary food stuffs – it’s great!
