Seasonal spices of choice (ginger root, fresh orange peels, cardamom, nutmeg, etc.)
8 oz filtered water
Sweetener of choice (maple syrup, honey, date syrup, agave, monk fruit …)
Sparkling water
Ice

Optional:
Garnishes (a cinnamon stick, candied ginger, dried orange peels, etc.)

    It’s a great recipe, thank you. Is it a little wasteful in its use of valuable spices? I know it’s nice to use whole cinnamon sticks as a garnish but I’d like to suggest it’s possibly better to use in the simmering and not use cinnamon powder? The amount used for garnish could make a large quantity of mocktail syrup in advance.

      You could definitely simmer the cinnamon stick rather than using the powder if preferred!
