What are your thoughts on Xylitol? Tastes much better then Stevia
🎉Excellent. Dr. Nick🎉
Great video Doc…thankfully the only beverage I drink since going full carnivore is water 😀
Me to
Artificial sweeteners have been around for decades. You think there would have been studies of their cause of health issues including Liver Disease! Oh never mind, we don’t want people to stop giving profits for these companies, that care not about product safety but profit. Great video! Outstanding subject and very clear analysis! Thank you Dr. Zyrowski!👋❤
Don’t forget about the profits for big pharma when everyone is sick
Hey Wellness Warrior, you are welcome.
I am a nuclear radiologist that has read oncology scans, mostly PET/CT, for many years. Most people don’t know that we use radioactive sugar to detect cancers, because they need it to survive. High fructose corn syrup is in so many products, and it should be banned. Sugar is the most highly addictive substance on the planet. Companies make billions by taking our natural water sources, add sugar and extremely toxic chemicals to create addicts. If that was not bad enough, they used to use glass bottles, now we have to drink microparticles that cause lymphoma by packing in plastic bottles just to make more money. Is it not enough they kill us slowly? Every country they are introduced into they directly cause diabetes and heart disease, and now they also rampantly pollute the environment with no reprocussions? I believe Coca-Cola and Pepsi should be banned from every country and held financially accountable for the deaths and pollution they directly have caused.
Don’t forget the fluoride from the bottling companies in these things too.
I agree wholeheartedly
What about vegetable glycerin? It does not spike your hypoglycemic index.
Hey Wellness Warrior, thanks for sharing this!
Many years ago, at the supermaket, I saw an extremely obese man buying over a dozen, 2 liter bottles of diet creme soda.
Sad.
Kinda funny also.
My cousin is massively obese and drinks many 2 litre coke’s every day including keeping a 2 litre bottle by his bed that he drinks before bed! 😮
@Skull Taylor Yep 😱
Took awhile but I only drink water, green tea. Too many chemicals and I have NAFLD
I was in the supermarket one day and was about to pick up a bag of Splenda when I overheard two ladies talking. One had a bag of Splenda in her cart. The the other lady said her husband was a chemist and would not allow Splenda in the house.
Look at vegetable glycerin. It does not spikevyour glycemic index
😳 Wow! That tells you everything you need to know. Thanks!
I think they are putting more-and-more sugar in the soda pop. I drink soda about once a year, and the root beer and Moxie is not as good as it used to be. About all I could taste was sugar.
They don’t sweeten most soda pop with sugar anymore. Most use high fructose corn syrup which is worse for you than sugar.
You aren’t used to the extreme sickening sweetness of soda anymore.
Can you do a review of the “natural flavors” that are in lots of carbonated waters?
Hey Wellness Warrior, I have done a lot of research on this topics because its used in many supplement powders. To some it up, its the wild west. Some come from good sources, others bad, but nobody has to be honest about where it comes from.
But doesn’t Stevia spike insulin even more than cane sugar. Glucose stays
low but insulin through the roof.
Don’t get me wrong, love Stevia but trying to quit.
I had a roommate in my early 20’s that drank a six-pack or 2 liter of soda a day. We kept in touch through the years and he was still a heavy soda drinker. He died of liver cancer in his early 50s. He never followed a healthy diet, a lot of fast and processed food. I think the soda was the major cause of his health problem.
My parents always told me “YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!”
still made it to 50… most parents have kids that are adults… he did his job…
Hey Wellness Warrior, a good friend of mine who would drink a 12 pack a day of diet pepsi developed cancer in his 30s.
You’re right on Dr. Z! Thanks 👍🏾!!
Is Allulose safe? I like it much better than Stevia, etc. No aftertaste
Hey Wellness Warrior, from what we know of it now… its completely safe.
@Dr. Nick Zyrowski thank you, Dr Nick! 👍🏻
That is so true people tell me all the time, they don’t eat allot of sugar, but they are gaining weight and not seeing all the sugar they are taking in. So glad I’ve learned for a long time now what to avoid. Thanks to doctors like you helping us. It’s a blessing knowing the truth. Knowledge is Key.
Stevia is a brand name. The sugar is erythritol. I put in my tea for about 6 months then stopped as it tasted very sweet and it’s expensive.
Berberine works excellent 👍 My dad has high blood sugar levels and due to his bad kidney disease we replaced Metformin with Berberine which works way better and affects kidneys less, his kidney function improved with berberine along with a mainly vegan diet
What about Red Bull??
Not arguing against Stevia, but I wouldn’t use the American Heart Association to support anything. They promoted Crisco and Seed oils.
I do raw honey and it has been great for me. I don’t abuse even though it is absolutely delicious and my health hasn’t gotten worse as a result so I’m sticking with it.
