I think stress and high cortisol ultimately are what sabatoge my mitochondria, no matter how well I eat or what supps I take. However, the latter does help!
Your bang on with this comment. Cortisol resistance is awful to live with. I have a neighbour from hell. Each day my heart races for the wrong reasons. Listening to music, daily walking does help though. Try to keep your mind active. Tune in to good thoughts, and things that make you happy. ❤
Try supplements like 5-HTP, L-Theanine and/or ashwaganda to help with stress.
Also Rhodiola rosea helps with stress
Probiotics are very important for energy levels. You may have dysbiosis, this means that the beneficial bacteria are few and the gut microbiome needs to be restored. Probiotics allow proper nutrient absorption, and they also produce various metabolites, as those important for the body’s ability to have/feel tranquility, as butyrate which has effects on energy metabolism too, and they can counteract oxidative stress.
