Life Lately – Dealing with comparison, finding food & training motivation and learning new skills ❤️

We’re doing it guys, we are getting back into the vlogs!! Firstly, tell me what’s been going in in your life, drop it down below in the comments because I’d love to know and be social!

This was an unusually eventful week in my life. I’m currently trying to upskill and learn how to lead climb as well as the usual ups and downs of training in general and loving it (still trying to love leg day 😅). I also chat about my experience with comparison when it comes to health and fitness and my indecision everyday with what to have for breakfast 😂🙈. I hope you enjoy spending a week with me❤️

Where can we listen to the podcast with your mum? I think I’d quite enjoy it.

Hmm… Could the hip discrepancy be causing the hip flexor issue that you have been mentioning?

Adduction is also “adding” to your body, as in, your limbs getting closer to the center of your body.

You might enjoy the lemon trek bars, dairy free too and super lemony

Cut off all the dead leaves off your plants. That will help it grow better

I had a very late career change. Used to work a very corporate role of commercial director and due to it affecting my mental health I walked out and I decided do turn my hobby into my job. And I became a qualified PT at the age of 41! And it’s the best decision I have ever made!

I recently left my job for the same reason and am considering doing the same as you, at age 40. I’m scared but trying to push through it

I think everyone has little tricks to remember things. My brother taught me port is left because they both have 4 letters. Stalagmites are the ones on the ground because mites are an animal and belong on the ground. Which is absurd but that’s how my brain remembered it. As a child I was told if you hold your hands up with thumbs pointing to each other your left hand looks like an L for left.

Hey Lucy! I’m only at the beginning of watching your video, but I just have to comment on your plants. 🙂 You’re being too hard on yourself! You’re doing GREAT with your plants! All of them look very healthy, except the first cactus and the last plant (a peacock plant) have some dead bits. And dead bits are perfectly normal and common… as long as the plant is still alive, you’ll be good! Plants are amazing at bouncing back from far far worse of a state than those two plants.

All you have to do is cut off the dead bits. So for the cactus, remove that dead arm. And you might want to repot the cactus in a slightly bigger container. That might’ve been why part of it died.

And the peacock plant… That’s a fickle plant to begin with. 😆 I have that same plant, and it’s been near death a few times. Yours looks great by comparison! Just cut off all the dead leaves, and monitor the plant. I think you should be good. ☺️

yes that last plant looks normal! just needs to be watered more often probably, they don’t like drying out. Keep the top of the soil slightly moist, make sure it has drainage and you’re good to go!

I just love your videos. They make me feel so motivated. I really love being outdoors and exercising but I struggle with motivation and time. Your videos help me realise I need to make time for the things that make me happy 😊

I went to the filming of Gladiators when it was in Birmingham, I loved that show.

I know compliments make everything awkward, but I have to say that you are amazing ❤ Thank you for sharing your life!

If you want a random breakfast idea, the breakfast I’ve been stuck on for a couple years now is: fresh dates (the kind that are refrigerated. I get them from an Iranian store and they’re amazing), toasted almonds, dark chocolate, and fresh berries, all washed down with strong black coffee. I also have fresh ginger with dates, which I think is the perfect spicy foil for their sweetness, but I’ve got slightly odd tastes 🙃 But just as a general rule, dried fruit and nuts are amazing with black coffee for a super easy but surprisingly satisfying brek 🙂

Thanks! As always 😊 At the moment I rarely run for more than a minute or two despite walking a good amount. So yes, I am impressed and slightly envious of your half marathon 😅Also, you’re looking really well 💕
