Just 1 Meal A Day! #shorts #wellness #health

OMAD is a life changing strategy, but is it right for you?

I’ve done one meal a day on and off for years. When following it I will put all my meals into a two hour time block. I just don’t like stuffing myself uncomfortably and I will sometimes be consuming 3,000+ calories.

One meal a day is great in most circumstances but can be challenging and not a great idea for anyone who is dealing with a lot of stress.

You will also hear often that woman should run from this idea and never do it. It’s not true. You really have to listen to your body.

Woman can use this strategy to gain all of its benefits but should not use it daily. Woman should not use this strategy around their cycle, and also… perimenopausal woman should be careful with using this technique.

Do you ever use one meal a day?

My baby brother does this he was approved for the diet by his doctor 6 months before he received his kidney transplant. He has been doing it 3 years and has lost the 60lbs he was required to in order to keep himself at the best possible weight for his new organ. Thanks for posting about your journey!

I eat 2 meals a day but I’m working on making it one meal a day.

I only ate one meal a day today but I was weak at the gym and threw up water. I’m wondering if on the 3 days a week I lift I do 2 meals a day and on days I don’t lift I go back to 1 meal a day.

If you are exercising, you can’t do one meal a day. You are starving your body. Your body needs extra nutrients if you exercise.

I do OMAD simply because I am only usually hungry around evening time. I only eat when I feel hungry and I find I don’t need much food to be satisfied. I have coffee in the morning too. It has served me well. But I can’t stuff myself in one meal either. I eat til satisfied. That’s it.

Wouldnt it be better to eat two meals close to each other ? Maybe a small meal and two hours later eat your main meal ?

Not happening. Especially since the average person works , who has the time or the inclination to do that?

I’ve done OMAD and the weight loss results were impressive.
It’s hard, but also a discipline flex

My bf has been doing omad for 5 days out the week for almost two years and it keeps his weight in check but he has reached a plateau 😒 does it slow down your metabolism in the long run? I still think it’s great and so easy don’t get me wrong.
