Intermittent Fasting Doubles Your Risk of Dying from a Heart Attack
Recent news reports have claimed that intermittent fasting can lead to cardiovascular death. What’s the truth?
DATA:
0:00 Introduction: Does fasting cause cardiovascular problems?
1:09 Poor data on intermittent fasting
2:36 Peer-reviewed studies supporting intermittent fasting
4:26 Fasting does not increase cardiovascular risk
Today, we’re going to talk about some of the recent news headlines claiming that fasting can wreak havoc on your cardiovascular system. This information was taken from an abstract (short summary) of an observational study sponsored by the American Heart Association.
The study was based on a 24-hour dietary recall, where participants had to recall everything they ate over a period of time. The author has also conducted observational studies that directly opposed red meat, eggs, and cholesterol.
Credible, peer-reviewed studies have shown numerous benefits of intermittent fasting and show that intermittent fasting actually supports cardiovascular health.
1. A single-blind randomized study examined the long-term effects of time-restricted eating with resistance training over 12 months. Participants saw a significant decrease in body mass, fat mass, and inflammation.
They experienced increased insulin sensitivity and a more balanced lipid profile without adverse effects. Intermittent fasting was deemed safe and effective for improving cardiovascular function.
2. A non-randomized controlled clinical trial for time-restricted feeding and its effect on body composition and cardiovascular risk found that 18 hours of fasting significantly decreased waist circumference and cardiovascular risk.
3. A systematic review of intermittent fasting with cardiometabolic risk factors looked at four randomized controlled trials. The results demonstrated that intermittent fasting significantly reduced body weight, waist circumference, body mass, fat mass, blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides, and fasting insulin levels.
4. One study evaluated a 16-hour fasting eating pattern with an 8-hour eating window on breast cancer survivors for 8 weeks. Results demonstrated a significant decrease in cardiovascular risk.

The news double your risk of heart attack
True
💯
You know it!!😂
Isn’t that the truth 👍🏼
😂😂😂👍🏻💯
Summary: FASTING GOOD 😇 NEWS BAD 😈
Shocking
👍🏼
this news is garbage !..they want US sick
Yesss!
THE NEWS DOUBLES YOUR RISK FOR HEALTH ISSUES DUE TO STRESS
It’s better to switch, sometimes fast sometimes not, like one day fast, one day not, or 2 day fast per week
If mass media news say something like that , we have to do the opposite 😂
🎯🎯🎯 same thought 💭 😂
At this point it’s always do the opposite lol.
George Costanza did the opposite. It worked out well for him
Exactly mate…..!
And unfortunately, that applies to most other things they say as well. The manipulations have damaged our society for far too long. I’m glad many Dr’s and other professionals are willing to put their careers in line to inform others with alternatives. Thank you!
In other words, keep fasting. It’s starting to effect their pockets
I wondered about that point, I feel the greater factor is that if the masses are keep feeding on low grade foods they will never be able to escape the mental fog that is preventing critical thinking, keep the population stupid.
amen
I agree 💯 that’s all it is when we’re sick they make money
Exactly. The thing that I find disgusting are the “scientists” who will take money from the food industry to do this. It is blood money, because they are literally causing more death and disease with their misinformation.
So Globalist do not want healthy people because agenda of globe depopulation is not possible with healthy people
I don’t care what they say. My facts speak for themselves! 10kg lost, blood sugar lowered, cholesterol lowered, heart health improved and have a perfectly healthy liver when last year I had fatty liver. My doctor thinks it’s the meds, which I haven’t been taking. All down to IF. Thanks Dr Berg!
Why do people like you feel the need to lie lol 😂
@@iDTecKtnot a lie. I don’t have those issues but intermittent fasting helped me lose 30lbs.
😂😂😂❤
@@CaliDracoAnd fat kills
I’ve lost 45 pounds on it . A1C, BP within normal range. I tried everything the doctors suggested , pills, cut carbs , never worked.
Fasting is the BIGGEST enemy of the Pharmaceutical industry.
Also for Food industries
HEALTH is their biggest enemy
Their other enemies include all of the complementary and alternative systems of medicine. The BIGGEST fraud is the conventional medical system.
YES YES!!!
yeah 😂😂
As a Muslim I have never heard of anyone dying from a heart attack during Ramadan.
yes, this is a sarcastic title though, fasting is really good for you when did correctly :)) this video is also supporting that topic.
Exactly! I was just thinking this too!
Never !!
Because they don’t 😂
Right, but, many people die every year because of ramdamdam.
Big pharma board meeting, “People are getting healthy by simply not eating frequently! How do we fix this?”, “Let’s put out a “study” that tells them to eat more often or die!”
It came out in the local news too. Thank you so much for debunking the misinformation.
That’s the truth
And this propaganda doesn’t only appear in the US. The world is very much bigger than the US alone.
Not the first time they do this. And they don’t even have to lie they just make a lousy study.
Well said
If they practice intermittent fasting, they wont need our wonderful ozempic… And we can’t have that.
“Not listening to us is bad for your health!”
— the corporate media
So Globalist do not want healthy people because agenda of globe depopulation is not possible with healthy people
I still hear “Fasting will put your body in a starvation mode, and when you eat again it will store it all as fat.” Strange that fasting made me leaner than ever.
Me too ❤
It will take years to undo peoples ignorance of fasting. They’ve been brainwashed to think you need to be shoveling food down your throat 24/7 or you’ll die. Thank God it’s starting to catch on.
Exactly
How many hours did you allow yourself to eat?
@@sstills951I personally, do a 6 to 8 hour eating window. Works for me, lost 60 pounds doing this & OMAD 😊❤
I have been intermittent fasting for the last year. I’ve been on PPI’s for 15 years. I just quit them 6 days ago. My doctor has been lying to me. I quit flonase 4 days ago. I’m taking the jump and getting off of meds. It’s going way better than I expected so far. Thank you Dr. Berg.
The ‘jump’ is what they don’t want you to do. Don’t tell them. Check your own BP.
Well done! I’m also on PPIs and I can’t wait to get off them. Currently doing one meal a day, determined to heal myself
@@DnBDubstepOfficial I quit completely one day, then took slippery elm for one day then the third day I took half of a PPI pill and it’s been 6 days since then. I’ve had some minor gas issues and withdrawals from the medicine but the issue is getting better so far.
Did flonase mess you up? It used to help me a little but it just freaks me out now so I quit after a few days
@@sarahjaye4117 In 2016 I was diagnosed with severe allergies. I had one of those tests where they poke you with 100 needles. I was told I was allergic to 2 types of grass and 4 types of trees that grow in this area. The doctor wanted to put me on steriods and give me immunotherapy shots but they said I would have to do it every week for potentially a couple of years and it MIGHT work, meanwhile I would have had to take heavy amounts of steroids every time I went for the shots. I felt this was too dangerous so the Doctor advised that I take Zyrtec and Flonase daily (I took generic for Flonase). I took the allergy meds every day for eight straight years. I started changing my diet this year. Really making big changes overall, so I decided to start cutting out all medications including the omeprazole. I am off 2 out of 3 meds so far but still dealing with withdrawal symptoms. I am dropping the Zyrtec next. As for Flonase withdrawal I’m mostly dealing with some minor itchy feeling on my skin and I am having some fatigue that lasts about half the day. I should be clear of symptoms of the omeprazole withdrawal within two weeks and the flonase within 7 days
I’m 73, and I have been intermittent fasting for over 50 years, and I’m healthy, fit and strong!
Fantastic! Love to hear this👍
Been doing 19 hr fasts for the last 6 months, and 3 day fasts every other month…….
And I’ll keep doing it
Great for you! Congratulations! ❤
The realest people in the world will always try to clean up a mistake. I don’t believe in calling anyone out. I am not a Dr. I am a lawyer. However the fact that this man is addressing this is issue is a 5***** thumbs up for me! Thanks Dr. Berg for being one of the few!
As a Muslim we fast every year once a month in the month of Ramadan….it truly is very beneficial for the health body and mind and soul
Yes! Exactly! Great point!
This! Thank you for this!
Look up the total amount of food muslims eat during ramadan. I wouldnt call that ”fasting”
its time of Ramadan now, yes? I start my 3 day fast from Saturday – Monday
Not once a month but 30 days a month and then another 6 days in Shawaal.
I usually lose about 4 to 5kg during this period but 10 months later it’s all back.
Hands up if you HATE the media and love this channel because it’s authentic and honest
✋!
Safe and effective Covid vaccines definitely do not cause myocarditis 🤣🤣🤣

Jesus fasted for 40 days. Enough said. Just shows how powerful fasting is. Fasting got rid of my tinnitus. I’m so grateful!
Yep. He also said that certain demons leave only through fasting and prayer 🙏✝️♥️
Absolutely, Jesus could’ve fasted 40
Days to kill possible cancer? Guy tenenbaum fasted 45 days and beat stage 4 cancer
so God Fasted is what your saying?
Bless You 🙏💕
@@MARSHALL247365 yes Jesus (God) fasted for 40 days
It’s okay Dr. Eric Berg… Thanks to YOU and Jason Fung’s videos that I found February 2022… I have lost 60 lbs in two years. I have watched your videos mostly. Almost daily. Thanks for the TRUTH and being brave to speak it. ❤️
Am a nurse who regularly works on cardiology wards and never met a cardio patient who did I.F. lots of overweight drivers, bad diet, alcohol excess, smokers and no exercise.
Exactly, I learned about risk factors and sociopsychological risk factors AFTER two myocardial infarctions. I’m totally OK now.
Over 30 years ago, I stopped eating breakfast, only a light lunch (if any), then ate most of my food at one time in the evening. I lost between 5 to 10 lbs (went from 120+ lbs. to ~ 110 to 115 lbs.), and have kept it off for all of this time (I’m even lower weight now). From you, a few years ago, I realized that I was “intermittent fasting” without knowing it. I am a healthy, senior citizen who loves to dance and stay active without any CV or knowable health problems.
