I ate 100 Hamburgers in 10 days and took my blood work both before and after eating the beef and here are my results. In this video you will learn the mechanism of why blood fats go up or down.

Thank you for doing these experiments and making these videos.
It’s so great to hear this kind of information which helps us to learn the truth and be healthy!
Glad you’re getting even healthier in the process too!! 😀
The difference from many youtubers that do not do what they pray!
Thank you @Cloppa2000 for letting me know. I really appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching.😄
Thank you for doing this experiment Dr. Ekberg. It’s good to know how eating red meat affects the body. I also liked that you ate healthy sides and condiments. Also glad you didn’t eat bread, so we can see how someone low carb and keto can see what to expect. Am so grateful that you put so much detail and effort into your videos. You really have made a difference in my healthy decision making. Hope you have a great day!
Thank you @angelfriend3710 for letting me know. I really appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching.😄
I would have liked to see the difference when eating bread like a normal hamburger, even if thin bread.
@M Ball Why?
@R. Failoni
Because hamburgers are usually made with bread.
A compare and contrast is always good.
And I have the urge to eat some hamburgers after watching this video.
@M Ball Did you mean to say… Hamburgers are usually “eaten” with bread, and not “made” with bread? I personally don’t eat any bread. Period. When I order a hamburger at a fast food place I ask them before hand to eliminate the bread, or I’ll just remove it and throw it away myself. Bread is just processed carbs containing empty calories. Real sourdough bread might be the best choice if you really need your bread, but you’ll have to go to an artisan bakery to get it, or learn to make your own. It takes time to make real sourdough bread, and you won’t find it on supermarket shelves.
I ate 10 burger patties (15% fat) once in a day years ago, it was pretty good but I sure didn’t feel like doing it too often, I could honestly eat like 6 everyday though.
When I was a teenager over 60 years ago I ate several pounds of meat a week and weighed about 220 pounds. I was the fattest kid in school every year. Now I eat meat sparingly, weigh about 170 pounds, and feel better than I did 50 years ago.
@Roger I can relate, but it was because of the other things I had besides the meat that I was eating as well. I loved cookies, and bread, and pasta… So many carbs and sugar
Between you, Dr. Shawn Baker, Dr. Anthony Chaffee, Dr Ken Berry.. YOU GUYS ARE KNOCKING IT OUT OF THE PARK.
Ken Berry saying to add extra butter/fat with your already fatty meats made me sick. I didn’t feel well at all. Then my EGFR was down to 52.7. Stage 3A renal failure. Of course my doctor wanted to put me on drugs and I refused.
I continued the carnivore/keto diet but I did NOT add extra fat to my hamburger etc and I did trim the ribeye. After three months of cutting back on “too much fat for me”
my next kidney test showed 61.0.
I now follow Maria Emmerich & her husband.
I love Dr Ken Berry but the fat amount is too much for me too. I’ll have to check out the last one you mentioned. 😊
that Dr.Bright came along encouraging “eat a stick of butter a
day” I increased my butter and ya, gained weight!😖 That lady totally gives me the CREEPS!🤮
@Mary FolksDr berry always say the individuals are different and adjust to your own results
@KAT Now if you said I just can’t eat the lettuce that would have had me Rollin about!😂😂😂
Thanks for once again another quality presentation Dr. Ekberg! I’m so glad I took your Blood Work course as I can revisit it whenever I wish. Three quick questions though. Did your weight change? Did your exercise program change? And finally, overall, how did you feel? Thanks again for your wonderful channel. ❤
That’s a good point, how was your mood?
Thank you @SalLazuka. My weight did not change. I barely exercised. (Something I’m working on changing.) and I felt fine. A little more full than usual. A pound of meat is so filling that you don’t always look forward to the next meal.😄
😂 I love this intelligent humor❣️ “I ate 100 hamburgers in ten days. Let’s see what happens to me!” 😂 He’s such an experimental scientist!
Thank you for the detailed discussion, Dr Ekberg. Very informative & provides better understanding on what happens to our body taking in so much meat which are perceived to be unhealthy.
I saw Benjamin Bikman comment on how some reports (and some from his research) seem to be severely misinterpreted as “red meat may cause diabetes” when the measure is often somewhat higher blood glucose but that is an effect of numer of red blood cells are higher in number with people who eat meat, the red blood cells are more stable and live longer compared to a person who have been eating a mostly plant based diet. Dr Paul Mason have also reflected on this, as an example triathlete Pete Jacobs have higher blood glucose after training and somewhat higher even after high intensity.
Dr Elizabeth Bright is also critical of the ambition of “lowering cholesterol” applied to everyone is harmful, as the vegetable fats often is marketed with, since they carry hormones.
This series of videos from you are both very entertaining, and informative – the 100 eggs one is one of my favourites from you. It’d be interesting to see a video based on you eating a “vegan” diet and seeing how that affects your readings, however, I suspect it would take too long to see the potentially negative effects of a purely plant based diet.
Thanks from rainy old England!
I got scared !
Really enjoyed this episode – like the old days – thanks for preparing and sharing all this data 👌👍
I went from a 5 year Keto journey to carnivore 3 days ago. I ate a one pound Ribeye on Wednesday in my one hour eating window and I was stuffed, but I also ate a Turkey Burger, three eggs and 3 slices of Turkey Bacon with butter and one ounce of cheese. Yesterday I had extraordinary energy at the gym. The ketones were going crazy. Yesterday I ate less, and my energy at the gym this morning was okay but not as good. So I need to find a happy medium between these two days. I do use MCT oil with coffee, the coffee is not long for my world.
Thanks you so much for all your videos. I was feeling exhausted nearly every day especially after certain meals (so much that i had no choise, but to take a nap). After I changed my diet to keto and dropped plant oils and fructose and stopped cooking with high temps:
– I feel so much energy during the whole day
– I don’t get tired anymore during the day
– I am totally refreshed in the morning after sleeeping
– My condition improved drastically
– I don’t feel hungy a few hours after a meal
– I can control my hunger much better
– I started getting warm feet again
– Even my stress resistance increased a little
Please keep up this great work and let the whole world know what a truly healthy diet is!
Your videos are addictive, but in very good healthy ways ! Thank you for the informative content.
Wow, this is the most enlightening video I have watched from beginning to the end! Now, I know how better to watch out for my health, which I haven’t been doing as I’ve just been following the crowd without knowing the real reason for certain actions. Thanks so much for this. You’ve earned a lifetime subbie.
Lol love that word. Subbie
We’re all subbies 😂
This guy is a Guru for health and well being. Dr Ekbergs channel are my medical referencing library. More information and scientific evidence than I would get from traditional medical sources.
Hi. I am from India. I like the way you explain everything logically. I am following some of your tips to lower my insulin resistance and they are working. Thank you.
Do you eat the holy cows.
Frying is the culprit in the traditional Indian food. Steaming, boiling, light sautéing are much healthier way to prepare meals.
Burger King switched from tallow to vegetable oil in 1979. I was operating the fryer, and remember this distinctly. We also changed the regiment to go from only filtering each night, to adding baking soda during filtering. I’m not sure if that was to alter the pH, help filter the burnt particles, affect the taste, or maybe some of each, but despite thick filters, the oil came out a bit cloudy compared to the tallow filter-only regiment.
The restaurant owner was against the change and thought it was inferior. I noticed an ‘industrial’ smell to the vegetable oil that was present even in the first day’s use before addition of baking soda in the filtering process. I, however, was influenced by the vegetable oil industry propaganda of the day, and thought tallow was ‘gross’, and that change was probably for the better.
@johngalt136 Fascinating. What sort of filtration system was used for the tallow? I am sure that Corporate HQ saved a lot of money by moving from beef tallow to seed oil. Did they specify hydrogenated vegetable oil or was it liquid at room temperature (unhydrogenated)?
Vegetable oil polymerizes and creates gummy deposits on equipment and walls and exhaust ducts. Tallow doesn’t do that as much: you just get grease that’s not as difficult to remove.
All those advocating Seed Oils , need to find A bunker to Hide in. You got the Picture.
how wrong you were
Dr Ekberg, really informative videos. Thank you so much! I started out low carb and your videos were my starting point. I am so grateful for you. I have since become 100% carnivore and have seen similar results as yours, in my bloodwork. I feel the best I have ever felt in my life, living this lifestyle. In my studies, I find that there are no nutrients in vegetables, that you cannot get from meat – specifically beef. I would like to ask why you believe we should be eating plenty of non-starchy vegetables. I so appreciate your time. God bless you.
Dear Dr. Ekberg, thank you for all the knowledge you keep bringing up and sharing with us. I am very curios if the blood tests you are listing are relatively common when having blood-work or they are more on the “specialized” type of lab work ? Thank you again for all the excellent work you have shared with us over the years.
Dr. Ekberg I am learning so much watching your videos and appreciate these personal experiments. One question, can you share your cholesterol levels before and after? Thanks!
