@julieMignon7 Best to take tour D3 with meals with fats in the meal. Your way will not work very well

    • @julieMignon7 on January 30, 2026 at 4:02 pm

      @ethimself5064
      Cream has fat.

    • @ethimself5064 on January 30, 2026 at 4:26 pm

@julieMignon7 Not good enough as D3 will be poorly absorbed as well as a little cream which is a liquid. With a meal D3 in liquid Caps the caps will dissolve in your stomach and or your upper GI Tract mixed with your meal for likely 100% absorption.

It is said that if you live north of the 37th parallel, you will be unable to produce Vitamin D from sunlight in the winter (October through March). Google 37th parallel vitamin d and you will find a map of where that 37 degrees North Latitude line falls as it crosses the US.

Anyone with autoimmune disease would do well to review the Dr. Coimbra Protocol. High dosing and very effective for relief.

    • @ld90210 on January 30, 2026 at 3:14 pm

It also has the vitamin k2 as well already in the pills. And don’t forget to take Magnesium. I prefer magnesium glycinate

Thank you for not going AI.

I live in northern Michigan, so I sympathize on D levels.

I own a Sports Bar with axe throwing lanes (Three Cedars Restaurant in Millersburg).

If you’re in the area, stop in. We can throw axes and talk nutrition.

All the best to you in 2026.

Thanks Dr. Nick for no AI…solid info on Vit D3.

I’ve been taking 10,000 IU of vitamin D3 and 200mg of K2 in the mornong with some peanut butter or other fat (cheese is also good) for a year now. I also take 465mg of elemental magnesium glycinate. As mentioned, it’s important to take magnesium when taking vitamin D3.

    • @adnanhafiez4923 on January 30, 2026 at 6:28 pm

      For 10,000 IU u need only 100mcg k2

    • @davidambo3507 on January 30, 2026 at 6:39 pm

Make sure the mag is in your body before you take the D

    • @adnanhafiez4923 on January 30, 2026 at 6:55 pm

@davidambo3507Yes Exactly, take Magnesium Glycinate as it is the best form of magnesium.

Just had my levels done and my vit d level was 169.2. So I’m off vit d for now until I get back to normal range. I understand that it is stored in fat and may take a good bit of time to drop to normal. Wonder if I should continue to take vit k2 mk-7 while waiting for my level to drop to normal range?

    • @adnanhafiez4923 on January 30, 2026 at 6:31 pm

Yes , also limit dairy and nuts for a while.

    • @davidambo3507 on January 30, 2026 at 6:36 pm

Yes. Keep taking the k2… And magnesium.

  14. @jaxlynne9364 on January 30, 2026 at 5:54 pm
