Today we’re going to talk about how to stop feeling tired in the morning. If you have brain fog or experience fatigue in the mornings, this one’s for you.

The majority of morning fatigue is caused by a person’s diet. What you ate yesterday is going to affect you today. A high-carb diet starves your brain cells of fuel, which can cause several symptoms.

Top symptoms your diet is causing your morning fatigue:
• Brain fog
• Trouble concentrating
• Irritability
• Hunger in the mornings
• Cravings in the morning
• Headaches
• Nausea
• Bloating
• Stiffness

How to stop waking up tired in the morning:
1. Get on a low-carb diet (Healthy Keto®)
2. Avoid restaurant food
3. Do intermittent fasting (skip breakfast and eat your last meal 5 hours before bed)
4. Protect yourself from blue light and EMF, especially before bed
5. Give your eyes a break from glasses
6. Get plenty of exercise (HIIT, long walks, and physical work)
7. Take vitamin D for jet lag
8. Keep your room cool while sleeping
9. Invest in a good mattress
10. Open your window while sleeping
11. Breathe through your nose while sleeping

I noticed that I have a better night, and I wake up refreshed, when I drink a probiotic; like Kefir, before I sleep. Thanks for the info Dr Berg 🌸

I eat dumbbells barbells cables bands and my own body weight for breakfast. Breakfast for champions! 😛 But on a more serious note, I definitely improved how energized I feel in the morning since I started to implement eating within a time window and be very wary of the sugars I consume. Wish I had this knowledge more prior in life, even though I’m still relatively young 😋

What I saw in my case is that even though I tend to watch screens before bed, quality of my sleep improved TREMENDOUSLY when I made sure that my room is completely dark. So using blinds to cover windows against lights on street. I don’t have to sleep long anymore to be refreshed, because my sleep got shorter, but much more efficient. What also helped is that I make sure that in my room temperature does not exceed 16 degrees C.

People, please pay attention to everything in this video. He just explained several questions I had since I quit sugar and carbs 22 months ago. Unexpectedly he just explained some of the “side effects” that I have enjoyed since I did exactly what he has been saying on everything in this video. This video was amazing to me answering a lot of questions I had about why I feel my morning energy and lack of hunger.

I’ve had a period of time in which keto helped my energy, but when I tried again it didn’t help much.
I’m still usually trying to lower carbs, especially in the morning, and I think I usually feel slightly better on low carb.

I stopped keto mostly because I lost too much weight and was almost underweight, but also because it can be really difficult to stick strict diets.

I’m 68 and pretty darn fit… Wake up pretty much exhausted every morning after having Lyme disease and some mycotoxin issues… Mold and metals 15 years ago. I do all of this quite well EXCEPT we tend to eat late 7 PM so sometimes not finished until close to 8 PM with bedtime around 10 PM. This is going to be very hard to change. Also, I do notice when I have a high carb day/night my already inflamed body is much worse great video.

Great video as always. Even if a subject does not apply to me, I still watch cause there is always something to learn.

Thank you for the reminder. I’m the boss! Been feeling really down lately, my diet has not been the fuel my body has needed. That is changing today. Just been in a weird funk since this foot surgery in December. I hate feeling fogged out, unhealthy.

Thank you Dr. Berg for all your great content. This might be off topic but since we are talking about sleep here I was wondering if you have any info on nasal polyps. For over a year I have been waking up many times in the middle of the night just to blow my nose because I feel my nose is congested but there isn’t anything there to blow out. When I look inside my nose it looks like it’s swollen and it looks like it’s blocking the airway. I heard that the only way to get rid of the polyps is surgery but I don’t want to have surgery if there is another way to get rid of it. Even during the day my nose would get clogged and I’m constantly blowing my nose or I’m breathing through my mouth. If you have any info on it will you please make a video on it. Thank you so much.

Perfect timing, I woke up this morning and felt like I’d been hit by a truck. There was no reason for it either that I was aware of. However, I did spend the whole day with my vegan friends and ate what they were eating which was tons of carbs. Your presentation says it all. Thank you Dr. Berg.
