It's very difficult to lose even one pound of body fat without changing your diet. If you eat junk food, you’ll have to burn even more calories to burn extra fat. Weight loss is 15% exercise and 85% diet!
You have to change your diet if you want to lose weight. There’s no way around it! Exercise improves fitness, muscle tone, and health, but it is not the key to weight loss and certainly won’t help you lose weight fast.
If you want to lose fat and not just water weight, you have to keep insulin low. Decreasing insulin will also decrease your appetite and cravings. To reduce insulin, you must go on a low-carb diet!
The carnivore diet involves eliminating all carbohydrates and eating meat, eggs, fish, and cheese. This simple diet can help you lose weight fast!
Intermittent fasting is the key to fat loss. It can also help with other health problems, such as inflammation, high blood pressure, diabetes, and depression.
Remember, carbs block fat burning. You can lose weight without changing your diet, but it won't be much!

So many people think life slows down after 50, but on my channel we’re proving the opposite—louder, braver, more alive than ever.
Still Sharp isn’t just a name, it’s a reminder: your best chapter might still be unwritten.

Glad my videos helped you. Wishing good health to you and your family.
I have gone on a diet time after time for years and years. I hate dieting!!! But when I changed what and how I eat and started walking, I lost 73 pounds, got off 9 medications and have had the best blood test results ever. My doctor gave me a 2% chance of continued success because he was my doctor when I was “dieting” and he was the doctor who put me on my 9 medications. I have sustained my new lifestyle for 3 years, 3 months, 18 days. Oh….I fired my doctor.
👏👏👏👏
Doctors need to pay their mortgage, now what? Too bad he lost a good client😂
Congratulations, great job❤!
Wonderful!!
@ The rest of my family still go to him. He’s a concierge doctor and for a family of 5, he charges $1,000/person for unlimited visits and he offers his cell number to call when needed. Since I only need to see a doctor once a year for blood work and I am NEVER sick anymore,I figured $1,000 is a bit too much. He will still be able to meet his mortgage. I travel to Thailand twice a year for mission work and Bangkok has incredible health care, I can get a complete health check on the same day with multiple doctors, in the same place and pay only $100. I will go that route. I will also get a crown for $300 compared to $3,500 out of pocket in the US.
@ I went to Paris last August and I remember two beautiful women all dressed up 🤣.
Started watching dr berg channel in may last year..then i started doing the low carb diet, with very minimum workout. I started walking more each day, and only played badminton once a week. After 4 months, i lose 8kg of weight, and another 4kg the next 2 months, as i intensify my workout to 3x per week(still not everyday though). I was 82kg then, and 70kg now. The key is, low carb diet.
My point here is, u dont have significant weight loss if u dont watch ur diet. Just like dr berg said in this video. Even if u dont have much workout(like i do last year), u still gonna loss weight if u care about ur diet.🙏🙏
I have tried keto and it does work! Appetite reduces significantly.
No amount of exercise can outrun a bad diet 😢
Except bootcamp…. you can eat whatever you want and you will still lose weight. Its the only thing in this world which breaks the laws of thermodynamics apparently.
there is definitely an amount of exercise to outrun a bad diet… its just impractical
Goggins would disagree
Prior airforce here. I can confirm the comments and that OP is a Walmart manager with blue hair
The amount of calories your body burns increases massively if you gain muscle… TRT more gym everyday=eat all you want and stay lean… Unless you only eat really bad food…
lifting weights BURNS FAT. MUSCLE mass burns fat even when your sleeping.
❤❤❤ My first cardiologist didn’t believe in doing fasting and also He was a in and out the room within 5 minutes I left him hanging. My new heart doctor told me that I could do fasting but to go slow and check my blood pressure and A1c and all that other stuff he said I will see you in 6 months. He loves my blood work results and he asked me What vitamins were I taking, how long do I fast, and always do fasting with someone else in the house to check on me he knows that my LDL numbers never been this good since 1982 that was the year I started having heart problems. But anyway it’s a good feeling to be healthier and to see that Doctors believe in fasting because all the long years I’ve been on pills and diet, shots none of them was helping me
❤ Thank you for sharing this
What’s your fasting regimen like?
Wonderful…. I’m turning 68 in few days… I haven’t been to a doctor since I was 42… I have RA, and a tiny hole in my heart ( I was born with it doctors diagnosis)… at 42 I was given Paxil by my doctor for my pain from RA to easy up… and it did, but because the medicine is for depression and I wasn’t depressed, it made me psychotic… Luckily my husband recognized that it was Paxil the culprit and I’ve stopped taking it… a week later at my doctors I told her how scary it was for me, she told me not to tell anyone such absurd story, because people would laugh at me… she literally said that word for word… i just stood up and left, and never went back… because it’s no help out there for Rheumatoid Arthritis or a hole in the heart( it has to be bigger than mine to operate… who knows how big it is now, maybe bigger, but I don’t feel any worse)… I’ve been doing fasting and low carbs way before it was better known, for 25 years now… doctors were sure I’ll be in a wheelchair in my 40s, and wouldn’t see my 60th… but with fasting and clean low carb eating, I’m doing amazing… I even had 3 Covid’s, one per year, and I survived them with no problems…. Keep doing what you’re doing, because listening to once body is the best help one can give to it… ❤

I worked on farms in the 70’s , cutting tobacco, putting in hay etc, we all ate well at lunch and dinner and no one was fat. Most of our work was in the hot summer sun so I agree heat burns fat !
Dr Berg My brother said that you are the reason that he is no longer diabetic type 2 and he said Thank you, God bless you.
That’s wonderful. 😊
This is incredible news, Don! So very glad to hear this. My congratulations to you both. Keep doing great!
I mean… I think your brother is the reason your brother is no longer diabetic type 2
I just did a 72 hour fast. I ate some eggs today for breakfast. I went from 180 to 175 in 3 days lol. I also take apple cider vinegar everyday like you say to. Ever since I found you I’ve done what you said and in 2023 I lost 30lbs but gained it all back in 24 cause I stopped. Now I know this is a lifestyle not just a diet
Great to hear from you, Louie! Glad the information has been helpful. Keep up the good work!
Eating clean and lifting added muscle weight. Then my calorie burn rate went up… Then finally lost weight, in the form of fat! FYI I did lose weight, when younger, on Keto!
i believe the weight you loss is mostly water not fat, you cant burn that much of fat in just 3 days, but you will get it if continue doing it
@@Drberg thank you sir I sure will!
Look at how nature works
Animals fast when have youngs or when the weather is bad or when there is no food available
Its a cycle its an in out system
You need a break from food
If you wanna lose weight, listen to this man’s advice.
Never been strictly in to Keto but followed the guidelines + some personal choices + exercise and managed to lose more than 40kgs (~90lbs).
Didn’t happen overnight of course, rather than slowly, but this was because of me.
One thing I noticed (and if someone knows or can verify pls comment) is that the closer I was getting to my natural weight, the harder it was becoming to lose weight. I have a theory on that, but I’d like to hear other people’s opinion.
Very well done on all your progress! And here is a video that might have helpful information. Check it out! 👉https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNTz1XBzaRQ
I’m finding the same thing. Do we need to reboot our system when this happens.
I feel better overall, but would like to get to that place eventually.
Hello, Dr Eric Berg!
I’ve been following your content for a long time and truly respect your scientific approach to the topics of health and longevity.
A thought recently crossed my mind: what if pineal gland calcification is not just a consequence of aging, but actually a trigger for it?
Perhaps in people who appear younger than their age, the pineal gland remains active and uncalcified?
The pineal gland influences melatonin, circadian rhythms, antioxidants — all things closely tied to aging.
I just wanted to share this idea — maybe you’ll find this hypothesis interesting from a scientific perspective.
Thank you for your inspiring content!
You CAN NOT outrun a bad diet. No truer words have ever been spoken. And resistance training can increase muscle mass which in turn will raise our basal metabolic rates and help our body’s burn fat more efficiently at a faster rate 😊
I have cut all carbs from my diet. I have lost over 150 pounds and still have another 20 pounds minimum to go! I am now off all my medicines, no longer need to wear compression socks, I no longer need to use my CPAP, and I no longer need a cane to walk. I feel like I am 20 years old. I am actually 72! But most of all, I see people around me working hard to kill themselves with their diet. I will never go back!
Great to hear from you, Eugene! Congratulations! Would love to know more about your health journey. Please share your success story with me by using this link! 👉 https://www.drberg.com/add-client-success-story
I will be walking and laughing all weekend with my family! Happy Blessed weekend to everyone! Thank you Dr Berg.🌞🌅👍🏽
Most welcome! Thanks for watching. And Happy Easter to you all!
This is legit the best video you’ve ever made Dr Berg
Dr. Berg, you are truly a God send. Seriously. Here I am, 46 year old female, and not once did I ever think I would be dealing with elevated cholesterol levels. My LDLs are at 140. All my dr told me was to lower my fat intake, no red meat etc. But I don’t eat red meat, fried foods or any of that. Not once did she say lower my carbohydrates and sugars. She was even going to put me on a statin. Thank God for your videos, I am now on a healthier journey. Thank you so much!
Hi , mine used to be high when I only used margarine . There’s bad fats and good fats . I used to not have any meat products and my cholesterol and things like that were high . Also , before fasting make sure your blood work is alright . Was fasting , but blood work not good so I have to watch out and try to correct things first .
@ArielGibson757 thank you for the advice. I don’t use margarine so that’s good. My blood work is fine besides the elevated LDLs. Nothing else was noted that would cause for concern. Because of Dr. Berg, I now realize it was the high carb diet that was the culprit. Also sugar. I lowered both. I’m interested to see how lowering my carbs and sugar intake will effect my cholesterol levels in 6 months to a year.
@@mrsshelton226women actually benefit from meat fat, I can attest to that too. Eating red meat or just meat is way better for most human beings than vegetables. I can type this reply all I want but the truth is is that I have a very hard time eating just meat and real butter lol. Fasting has been the easiest thing for me. Good luck and God Bless you
@maryfolks9368 thanks for the info. I’m not really into red meat. I’m more into poultry and fish. It’s just a preference. But I’m 100% sure my elevated LDL level has nothing to do with red meat which is why it was annoying that drs just automatically assume that’s the issue.
@@mrsshelton226 I wasn’t into red meat either and would cut the fat off on the rare occasions when I did eat it. After menopause I was gaining weight and belly fat (and losing muscle). I lost the excess fat by getting into ruminant meats and pork and now I love it and am very into it! It’s so satiating and delicious to me now. Might be worth a try to see if you can develop a taste for it ❤
Eye-opening reality check! I’m ditching the carbs and trying intermittent fasting to kickstart fat burning. From Denver, CO, 6 PM, thanks for the no-nonsense advice!
Mindset is powerful and I love waking up every day. Keto fasting is the Key 🗝 Also lots of walking and finding something to do. Get 2 moving around the house and yard. God is good .
All the time🙏
@maryfolks9368 Amen
I thought you said without changing your diet? Keto is changing your diet. Just saying, I love Dr. Berg and learn so much from him. I lost 35 pounds on keto diet.
