You’ve probably figured this out by now, but it may be the length of the rope you’re using. Too long or too short.

Hello there! I’ve seen so many “how to’s” of jumproping and yours, by far was the easiest to understand. You made it so simple. Thank you!! I shared your video on my Facebook page. Hope you don’t mind. 🙂

  4. Melizma Tea on July 9, 2020 at 5:31 am

I like how she describes everything so quickly – not so quickly that one can’t understand, but no dilly-dallying around! To the point! I’m going to try this…I used to love jump-rope but I know this is going to kill me at first! Inspiring video.

Thank you very much for the tips. I couldn’t even finish ten jump ropes at first but after trying out the tips which you’ve mentioned in this video, I could do better. And I wasn’t out of breath too.

  6. opinion ated on July 28, 2020 at 2:59 am

I was doing it correctly, but after 3 days of jumping rope for 300-500 turns each day, my back thigh muscles cramped, and my right knee gave out. Now, I’m taking a break from jump rope. I shouldn’t have pushed myself hard considering I haven’t jumped rope in a long time, but I was so enjoying it so much more than running that it didn’t feel like I was pushing it. I guess my mind and body say different things. I am going to strengthen my knee and thighs so that I can go back to jumping again.

Started jumping rope after years and years just a couple of days ago, at first I couldn’t even do much but literally in 2 days I’ve gotten so much better, gotten faster than I ever was and I even got rid of my double jump

  8. Evelina on March 4, 2021 at 4:00 pm

For a beginner like me this was beyond helpful! I was wasting so much energy thinking i burned more calories. 😅

  9. Aishwarya on June 26, 2021 at 2:01 pm

    OMG THANK YOU!!
I wasn’t able to even skip once properly but now that I’ve tried what you told me, I can do a continuous 6 skips and I’m a beginner.

  10. F Pitts on August 22, 2021 at 12:32 pm

  14. nami on November 17, 2021 at 5:53 am

Thank you so much for this tutorial! It’s my first day today doing this and at first I thought I could do it just by myself because back then when I was a kid, I was really good at this. I wasted an hour and felt so exhausted trying to figure how to do it properly. Then I searched for tutorials and applied what they taught but nothing worked out for me until I came across your video. I did exactly everything you said in the video and keep trying and finally I did it after a few minutes. I did 25 skips so far. Thank youuu!

  15. KEZE on February 10, 2022 at 10:30 pm

thank you for the video. all the info one would need to practice proper form. i particularly was looking for how to keep the core engaged while jumping rope, and you had explained that phenomenally. thank you again, much appreciated – wishing you all the best Ms. Kloots

  16. OJ Cruz on July 14, 2022 at 2:16 am

This is how a tutorial should be! Straightforward and awesome.

  17. Cortnee Muhlbauer on August 23, 2022 at 5:10 pm

  18. Boopy2t on September 6, 2022 at 10:37 am
