Today, we’re going to talk about the top foods for hair growth. Number 4 is the most important!
1. Bamboo shoots are high in trace minerals, potassium, and silica—essential for building hair protein. Silica makes hair strong and elastic and also prevents breakage and brittleness. Silica supports skin, joint, and bone health as well!
2. Wild-caught salmon is an excellent source of protein and is loaded with nutrition. It’s also one of the best sources of omega-3 fatty acids. Wild-caught salmon is a potent source of vitamin D3, which can improve nearly every problem with hair loss. Vitamin D controls the hair follicle and can activate dormant hair follicle stem cells.
3. Egg yolks are loaded with biotin, vital for keratin production. They also contain all of the fat-soluble nutrients that are essential for hair growth and hair health. Egg yolks are a rich source of cholesterol, a precursor for the hormones necessary for hair growth. Cholesterol increases hair shine and luster and strengthens the hair shaft. Egg yolks contain vitamin D and sulfur, which supports a healthy scalp.
4. Grass-fed liver contains concentrated amounts of almost every nutrient. It’s high in iron, vital for oxygen transport to the scalp. One of the most common causes of hair shedding is iron deficiency. An iron deficiency can be caused by low iron or a copper deficiency.
Copper is vital for the proper function of iron, and beef liver is loaded with it! It also contains zinc, which is essential in the appropriate ratio to copper. Zinc is necessary in the formation of hair and protein synthesis. Beef liver also contains folate and vitamin B12, which can reduce graying.
The nutrients in beef liver are bioavailable, so your body can easily absorb them. Beef liver contains the active, bioavailable form of vitamin A and biotin. It’s best to get biotin from a food source rather than a supplement.

Does anyone remember what Dr Berg says can cause a swollen tongue?
Has anyone here tried the liver capsules? Results?
To anyone who sees this comment, I wish you a life full of health and happiness.

You too, thank you.
Thank you and same for you as well. Love and light. 🙏🤍
O Thanks. You too
Thank you from Pennsylvania!!
My father used to wash my hair with carbolic soap, then rub in an egg yolk and leave on a few munutes. After rinsing, he did a final rinse with beer. I must have smelled odd but I had beautiful hair. I’m now 80 so this was long ago😅
Sounds like it wasn’t fun😂 thats good it worked otherwise it’d be just a funny story to tell humans 😂
That sounds crazy but I’m sure it worked, wonders!! Those were the good ol’ days, for sure 😊
Back in the 60’s there was a hair conditioner with beer in it. My sister used it. Then they came up with other conditioning ingredients. You could not have that today because kids would drink the hair conditioner as an aperitif to their tide pods.
@@HelenRTThank you, it’s not often I laugh out loud at a comment, but your reference to tide pods, made it happen. Thanks again.
Must be when you were a kid.
We only have problems with hair when we get older.
Not gonna lie but the combination of strength training for 4-5 days a week, light cardio and d3 plus magnesium supplements not only reverses my male pattern baldness but even gives me thicker, shinier hair. All due to doc. Thank you sir.
Sounds like low testosterone could have been a factor
@GameChanger597 fun fact ; high testosterone itself doesn’t directly cause hair loss, its conversion to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) can lead to hair thinning and balding, particularly in genetically predisposed individuals. So no, the theory of low testosterone leaded me to baldness is not correct.
What’s your age?
@@WilliamFluery 32
@ 😭I was hoping you were 63ish so I had hope of restoring my Male Pattern Baldness.
Love bamboo shoots I bought some just last week 🙂 They add nice crunch to salads and stir fry.
I have been eating and using everything Dr. Berg mentions in this video, for the past 2 years, except for the bamboo shoots, and my hair is still thinning, breaking off, falling out. I’ve lost half my hair, since I started keto w/ IF, and I’ve also lost 45 lbs. I’ve been aging very quickly. I learned that losing a lot of weight can really mess up your free T3, and that’s what’s causing the rapid aging.
Are you always fasting and eating keto? You have to cycle on and off and make sure ur consuming your micronutrients.
Are you on a cholesterol med?…I think my cholesterol med is causing my hair problem… as well as inches gain.
Make sure you’re not stressing as much
Are you getting enough protein in? Without the existential building blocks you cannot have beautiful hair

Can’t do liver…
cant live without one ….😁
My dad who was a doctor ate a soft boiled egg a day for his entire 82 yrs even when every single health guru was talking about issues with cholesterol in eggs
I started eating eggs every morning when I was pregnant in 1989 because I was too nauseous without it. I continued ever since. I ignored all the nonsense about not eating eggs because my grandmothers both ate eggs every day and lived into their 80s.
I love hard or soft boiled eggs and I’ve been eating them every day lately!
when every single health guru was talking about issues with cholesterol in eggs
was wrong , just as they said about meat ,
Yeah cause cholesterol actually isn’t bad nor is good fats. Our food pyramid is upside down. Everything we were taught is wrong
From a study in 2010, researchers found that hair loss patients who took 100 mg of Vitamin E (tocotrienols), saw a growth in the number of hairs by 34.5%. This result was because of the antioxidant properties of vitamin E. Alpha-tocopherol: This vitamin E is found to be the most active in humans.
Thanks for sharing this ❤
That’s an interesting and hopeful finding! The 2010 study you mentioned really highlights how powerful antioxidants can be. Vitamin E, especially in the form of tocotrienols, appears to support hair growth by reducing oxidative stress in the scalp. And yes, alpha-tocopherol is the most bioactive form in humans, playing a key role in maintaining healthy skin and hair cells. A 34.5% increase in hair count is impressive!
Hope you are doing well 🌿
I take Vitamin E 2 times a day 💯❤

I buy grass fed beef liver (Lovera) take 4 to 6 a day and 30,000 D3 with K2 . My hair is getting thicker and my T3 levels went from 2. 4 to 2.9 in 3 months 🎉
Wow, beef liver is a true super food. I recently started eating liver once a week, and I might start eating it twice or thrice a week. It is NOT my favorite thing to eat but with some salt, pepper, and some cumin sauteed with onions its pretty good. I’m 46, I’ve spent the majority of my life eating junk food full of carbs and sugar. I have been deficient in iron, copper, and Vit D for years. My hair is turning white, my vision is deteriorating, and I’m getting brown spots on my skin. I hope that by eating liver, and other vitamin-rich foods, that I can reverse some of these problems that are starting to plague my life. My best to others that are experiencing the same thing. Thank you Dr. Berg
Just don’t eat more than 3 times a week, it can be too much
@@alanad.409 Yeah, I was thinking two times a week would be sufficient. I also eat sardines, mussels, cod liver, salmon, oysters, spinach, beef meat, avocados, and eggs (which I eat daily) that’s a way better diet than sugary junk food. Thank you
@@benjaminnielsen4288 Wow! That’s Great! Keep going 😁😁

I just had liver and onions for dinner last night. It was delicious!
🔥 ❤ The physical therapy workers don’t like YouTube videos. They told me do not look at anything on YouTube about physical therapy and I found that the physical therapist on YouTube are better and different from the local ones. Just like learning about health and weight loss from Dr Berg I am proud of myself, I love keto fasting, learning something new about health and vitamins and nutrients, etc. Without having Dr Berg and learning from the best of the best. I wouldn’t be alive. Thank God for everything. 410lbs down to 228 today. 💯 🔥 Keto fasting 💪 👑
Congratulations, keep up the great work 🎉

Okay, I came here for hair tips, but now I’m seriously considering becoming a liver-eating bamboo enthusiast 😂 Never thought I’d be googling ‘how to cook beef liver’ at 10 PM. Appreciate how you broke everything down – finally makes sense why my hair’s been acting up. Time to feed the follicles!
