8:48 Learn more about how to counter stress!

Let’s talk about stress and how to take care of your body during chronic stress.

Stress can cause deficiencies—these deficiencies can then alter your ability to react to and recover from stress.

Chronic stress can be very dangerous to your health. Too much stress can lead to:
• Ulcers
• Heart attack
• Osteoporosis
• High blood pressure
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Poor immunity

Deficiencies caused by stress can include:
1. Magnesium
2. Zinc
3. Thiamine (vitamin B1)
4. Potassium
5. Vitamin B5
6. Amino acids
7. Calcium
8. Vitamin D
9. Vitamin C

When you go through stress, it’s easy to reach for junk foods. But it’s crucial you avoid sweets and junk food, even when you’re stressed. It’s also important to avoid foods high in sodium when you’re feeling stressed.

The more stress you go through, the healthier you need to eat. Consuming red meat and a big leafy green salad would be a great meal to consume when you go through stress.

An HRV (heart rate variability) device is a fantastic tool to help you measure your stress and how you respond to stress. This device can also help you better understand what type of exercise and nutrition your body needs at different times.

The best ways to take care of your body during stress:
• Stick to a very healthy diet (Healthy Keto®)
• Get quality sleep
• Exercise

My opinion that brings on major stress would be the 3 biggest stressful situations to be in; #1 is the death of a loved one. #2 Financially to be able to pay our bills and have a roof over our heads. #3 Eating and drinking an unhealthy diet.

#1 for me is watching a child deal with dialysis…being a caregiver is extremely hard on people no matter what age the disabled person is 😢 Leaning on God is very helpful.

The same time my pet 19 years was at the end of kidney and liver disease the signs got worse I got very sick aswell stpmach recovered but not everything for last 3 months at least I never been this bad before am also alot skinnier it’s definitely true

    • @kingofwesteros9868 on November 29, 2023 at 1:39 pm

I would add one – being lonely. Even though we might feel good with ourselves only, our body an mind will seek for another person. I don’t mean friends – but rather deeper relationship. Without it, we can feel tired and stressed to find someone urgently. That was and partially still is my case.

  5. @MrWonderstuff on November 29, 2023 at 11:47 am

Very timely. My dental hygenist recommended a blood test due to bleeding gums when she cleaned my teeth – it wasn’t gum disease. She asked if I was stressed and mentioned Vit D difficiency and Cortesol. Have yet to have the blood test. The dizziness when standing up quickly is something I also experience – although I don’t faint. I excerise 2-3 times a week and have a 7-8 hours sleep a night (i use Fitbit). Anwyay a great video and I will action the recommendations.

    • @Shadow-bs1iu on November 29, 2023 at 1:26 pm

What about vitamin C deficiency? More stress puts a demand on vitamin C levels. Low C causes scurvy type symptoms, which manifests in one aspect as gums that bleed

    • @underwearonly on November 29, 2023 at 2:21 pm

You have a great dental staff. Perhaps a very high dose [50k+ iu] would minimize the issue. I brush w 🥥 oil & bleed very little now

    • @allison471 on November 29, 2023 at 4:55 pm

Yes vitamin C also my functional medicine Dr. Always says AC/DC like the band… vitamins A, C, D and more C 😊

This year, my body’s immune system SHUT down after years of stress buildup. I ended up with Diverticulitis, Covid, then hives (from the anitbiotics) and candida. It took months to recover and come to terms with the root cause.
