I thought, “Well, all I do is walk the dogs, so clearly she is not talking to me.” But then I though – what if she is? I mean, I do it consistently, it’s already a habit. What if I did a few tweaks to my daily walk? A little longer, a little faster…? That was such an encouragement!
Spot on!!!! I have been doing the same routine for a long time. 10k steps every day. I enjoyed getting my steps in, but I realized, one day, that I love to do yoga, I love to be outside, I love hula hooping but I do not have to get 10k steps every single day. I can do what I want and still feel good about what I am doing.
This is the first time I disagree with her. For some people these things come very naturally. Other people have other gifts. If we struggle in an area it’s actually beneficial to learn from others’ who seem to have got it right. That can shorten the process for everyone because we don’t have to learn the hard way through trial and error.
It is right to do what you are doing BUUUTTTT… if it’s not creating results… learn from another!! 🥰
Thank you, Pahla! I do enjoy using my housework as my workouts, especially when I stretch up to the top shelves in the cabinets and anything that helps me move and stretch my muscles. Yard work is great for workouts as well. Keep being you, Pahla!
I recently started your walk off the weight series and felt that I had found a good place to reset myself. I love cycling, walking ,yoga workout dvds etc. I could workout out till the cows came come. I’d do 30 mike bike rides plus a 4 mile walk on the same day in summer sometimes. I have a natural tendency to push myself too hard all the time. I never really lost any weight. and every time I started again It would just not work like it used too in my younger years (46 now). so when i found your walk off the weight series and started to follow along i started to lose a few pounds by not over doing it, until One day I done three in a row and a long walk and I still had about 1000 cals left in the bank on that day, the next day though my appetite went through the roof and its still that way nearly a week later. Ive had to stop counting the calories and not exercise much for now until my appetite settles down. I thought id just be able to follow your guidance on diet and exercise and listening to the constant reminders would help me to stay on my path (even though I pushed it. I can see where i went wrong as pushing it is not part of your 5O method). But now that you have eliminated the exercise DVDs I feel a bit lost and only eating a low amount of calories without earning any through exercise is not doable without me going through a massive appetite increase later on. But having said all of that, we do need to able able to stand on our own two feet but every single time I try it alone I weeble and Wobble and I do fall down haha. Having said all of this I know I have to exercise moderately not excessively, eat the right number of calories drink my water and get decent sleep. I love your exercise video’s because they are moderate but it will be a shame not to see you exercising with us anymore.
Gnaw thank you soooo. I’m doing my own thing, putting on muscle from being wasted away…I’m watching calories as of today and I’m able to go hard easily at the gym, so I’m keeping it up instead of being afraid it’s wrong.
It’s the age-old wisdom, “If you at first you don’t succeed try, try again,” but with a twist. Try again mindfully and tweak things until they work for you and are helpful in moving forward toward your goal. Awesome!
New subscriber here! I watched your routine “Get flat abs without crunches”, the standing up one. It’s the only routine I’ve seen anywhere which I can copy successfully, adapting it to my limited mobility in my arms. A big “thank you”!

My male dog stops to sniff and mark constantly. I do squats and lunches when he stops. Even pushups sometimes.

You are so right! I also wanted to say how every colour of sweater or top you wear in your videos looks beautiful on you. Have a great weekend. 💞
Thank you! 💛

Are you going to make videos again?
