How long are you taking 20,000 IU daily and how do you find out how long to take that much?

  2. @Yazzie101 on June 15, 2025 at 11:32 am

Only take with k2 to make sure vitd gets to bones & not arteries

    • @carolj.3175 on June 15, 2025 at 2:12 pm

That’s calcium, Vit D & K2 is needed so it doesn’t end up in arteries .

    • @mustardseedist on June 15, 2025 at 3:16 pm

      Plus Magnesium

    • @dr.nickzyrowski on June 15, 2025 at 4:07 pm

Yes… the one I recommended has apprpritate levels of K2.

Dear Nick what is your opinion on augmented NAC?

    • @lucyt4143 on June 15, 2025 at 3:19 pm

I’m taking it for one and a half months, feel my eyes not as dry as before after I took for a few days, feel more energetic, highly recommend.

    • @sukhjotesingh9613 on June 15, 2025 at 4:44 pm

It’s supposed to get rid of spike protein!

  4. @Anikanoteven on June 15, 2025 at 11:47 am

This is a blast of excellent info. I’m hoping it will help me sleep.

44 year old male here. I have Mediterranean genetics and spent 7 years in Scotland not too long ago. Was doing CrossFit there and was not improving, growing muscle or getting stronger. My vitamin D levels were at 9. After supplementing daily with 10k for months, I noticed a marked increase in strength, energy, mood and recovery. Stopped all seed oils and refined carbs, and now I look and feel 20 years younger. It’s super powerful you guys!

    • @dr.nickzyrowski on June 15, 2025 at 4:06 pm

Awesome… Thanks for sharing your story, it will help many.

    • @DL-up9pr on June 15, 2025 at 4:20 pm

Changing lifestyle two years ago made a huge difference in both mine and my husband’s lives by cutting out all the seed oils sugar, and going mostly organic with high-quality foods
      No processed

Running to the cupboard to take my Vitamin D. 😂 Thank you! 😊

  8. @booswalia on June 15, 2025 at 12:27 pm

What about people way up north? They don’t have sun for half the year.

    • @dr.nickzyrowski on June 15, 2025 at 4:08 pm

Exactly. That is my situation. Lots of Vitamin D is the answer.

    • @larsnystrom6698 on June 15, 2025 at 4:11 pm

We use supplements if we know what’s good for us.
But oddly enough, people tend to survive the winters with only what we get from food.
Although we get a weaker immune system and colds every winter. We think that’s only natural!

    • @booswalia on June 15, 2025 at 5:14 pm

@@dr.nickzyrowski But they didn’t have supplements years ago. How did they survive?

    • @doejohn8674 on June 15, 2025 at 5:52 pm

@@booswalia cod liver oil (had to take it as a child and I am grateful our mother forced us to take it)

  9. @user-yg5jj7yv8y on June 15, 2025 at 12:54 pm

I take 50.000 IU daily and also stay in the sun when I can. Absolutely no side effect, only benefits.

    • @larsnystrom6698 on June 15, 2025 at 4:04 pm

Measure your blood level, and keep it under 100 ng/ml. (250 nmol/l).
Magnesium and vitamin K2 work together with vitamin D.
      Ancestral blood levels are 40 — 60 ng/ml.

    • @dr.nickzyrowski on June 15, 2025 at 4:08 pm

That is a big dose. Keep an eye on your blood levels.

    • @ICallItAsItIs on June 15, 2025 at 5:09 pm

Yep, I take 20,000 in the morning, 10,000 in the afternoon, and another 20,000 in the evening. I have a snore app that records my snoring and my snoring has been reduced tremendously since I increased the dose. I think these “experts” need to change the RDA of Viramin D. I believe this would cure a lot of peoples’ diseases. They probably won’t though because their business relies on us being sick or injured.

    • @user-yg5jj7yv8y on June 15, 2025 at 6:53 pm

I started with 5-8.000 IU for 1-2 years, everything ok, so I increased to 10.000 than to 20.000, 40.000 and 50.000. There are now 8 years since I take vitamin D3. I believe the RDA is a joke. Unless you stay all day naked in the sun, I think 20.000 IU should be minimum to take. But most important is to take it gradually (do no start with 50.000) and listen to your body. PS: I also take vitamin K2.

  12. @susanastump4719 on June 15, 2025 at 1:44 pm

It’s also been started that vitam D intake will postpone treatment in CLL patients.

  13. @andrewrivera4029 on June 15, 2025 at 2:07 pm

I’m very much affected by the seasons, the longer days I’m always outside I feel so much better, I can lose weight in the summer. I dread December with the short days my mood is always affected and it’s when I’m vulnerable to getting a cold. Need to get my vitamin D levels checked now during the summer then also in the winter.

  14. @janetkrem503 on June 15, 2025 at 2:27 pm

I take a DK supplement every day, even when I’ve had lots of sun. The rise in skin cancer is alarming, but I don’t think it has anything much to do with too much sun exposure. Lots of people always use sunscreen so don’t get the benefits of sun exposure, and are also harming their bodies with chemicals. I read somewhere that the rise in skin cancer is also related to the rise in the use of manufactured cooking oils. I don’t remember the details, but they make some sort of change within the body/skin that our natural defences against sunburn don’t function. Has anyone else heard of this? Fascinating, and it does help explain the rise in skin cancers.

    • @allison471 on June 15, 2025 at 5:07 pm

I have also heard this numerous times! The rise in skin cancers are due to seed oils, toxic sunscreens! I’ve also been told by a practioner of functional medicine that skin cancers have increased due to vitamin D AND magnesium deficiences! Almost everyone is deficient in D & Magnesium! I cringe when I see people slather on sunscreen thinking all those chemicals are being baked into the skin. Skin cancers I believe are truly deficiencies from the inside out and the ratios of the seed oils/Omega-3’s.

Just for the sake of content, why not mention taking it with vitamin K2 when you knew it was necessary.

  17. @DCGreenZone on June 15, 2025 at 3:51 pm

Liposomal D3/K2 might be helpful for those who have Vit D Receptor polymorphisms.

  18. @WSLMRADIO1 on June 15, 2025 at 4:33 pm

After a year of once weekly high dose Vitamin D and it’s still low.

    • @doejohn8674 on June 15, 2025 at 5:46 pm

What is your definition of high dose? If you are deficient you might need several 10k per day for a few weeks at least

  19. @erichill5328 on June 15, 2025 at 4:50 pm

How about vitamin D sunlamps instead of supplements????

  20. @UncleDavesKitchen on June 15, 2025 at 6:16 pm

Since starting Vita D and K2 3 years ago I’ve developed major kidney stones that I’ve never had in my life per ultrasound. I’m suggesting all this hype about K2 placing calcium where it’s supposed to go is a lie.
