I cannot describe to you how much fear I used to feel seeing PE on my timetable. I would try and hide or avoid it however I could, not because I was lazy but because it scared the living s**t out of me a shy, ‘unsporty’ and overweight kid.
Then somewhere in my 30s after a decades of being that girl, I accidentally found the outdoors and calisthenics, and they somehow changed the game…
They gave me so much. Confidence I never had. Friendships I didn’t expect. A sense of purpose. Happiness and a reason to keep challenging myself and growing as a person.
I wasn’t good at the beginning, if anything many people would have told me to give up but thankfully me stubbornness pulled through 😅
This is your proof that you don’t have to be “sporty” as a kid to fall in love with movement later in life, you just have to say yes to new experiences and follow what you truly love doing
