    A slow metabolism also means lower energy production, more efficient but slower burning.
    Optimal thyroid + adequate cortisol = Good metabolism, healthy appetite, high energy

    I need to loose 20 pounds only and its almost impossible. I’ve been trying for 3 years

      Calorie deficit. A deficit of 3500 calories is 1 pound of fat. So a deficit of 500 calories per day, either via food or exercise will mean you lose a pound per week. 20 weeks of focus and you’re good! All the best! 👍

      Yes you could try calorie deficit. Pretty good chance it will do nothing for you. You’re watching Dr. Berg now watch his videos on Keto. I took off 60lbs in less than a year and I tried for 10 years with calorie deficit.

      I had the same problem for many years. In the end the only thing that worked for me was finding a way to live a low stress life and practicing extended fasting once a week for 3 days of water only. Hope this helps.

      Getting into full Ketosis the first time was hard, used urine-strips to test. Now it is so easy. First get the body used to burning fat, without worrying about calories! Then switch to low calorie (or my case – no calories – I actually ‘water only’ fast for 2 weeks a few times a year)

    Damn, I never thought about this way. I always thought slow metabolism is bad. Cause can’t lose weight. Maybe I have think like this. I have efficient system. 90mpg system 😅

    Oh thank you for this. I thought I was weird.
    I can’t believe how little I eat. The less I eat the more energy I have, and never sick. Slow metabolism is suppose to mean cold feet in bed and bundled up clothing in winter. I’m the guy in the tee shirt! I thought I was weird, but now I know I’m “efficient .“ I’m 77.

      i get concerned too because i could just eat one meal a day and smaller serving yet i dont lose weight.
      i dont have sugar cravings and when i drink sugary ones, my throat burns. its too sweet for my liking.
      i feel like i could fast for 2 days without getting hungry but i havent tried. my consciousness used to hate skinny figure so growing up, i ate a lot but wasnt getting any fatter.
      these days, i eat less but dont get thinner. how odd the mind/body works

    I think I have both a slow and fast metabolism. Cause I can go a long time without eating, but I also can’t gain weight.

      It’s certainly cheaper and it provides more time and freedom because one is not glued to food thoughts most of the day.

    Can you please do something on Visceral fat and why it decided to go behind the abdominal wall instead in front of the abdominal wall.

    informationAfter keeping so many fasting my metabolism became slow . Therefore I thought it might not be good therefore I started to consume more food to increase my metabolism.

    I have a very slow metabolism. Had a bowl of soup today, dont feel like eating. But I produce a lot of heat for some reason. First to break a sweat.

    When i was a baby, my mom was worried i was fat, but ate little. The doctor said my system was just efficient. I’m the same today. I eat little, walk 30 miles week, and still a hefty lady. I always said my ancestors must have starved and my energy system was a slow burning fire. My mom is the opposite, so I’ve noticed differences in energy systems. I’m the turtle, she’s the hare, quick, eats alot, light, always moving, more high strung. Thank you for saying my system is efficient, since everyone is always telling me I need to eat more.
