Hey Sweeties! I hope these tools make your life a little easier. What kitchen tools do you swear by?

  2. @Mari-Ama7 on January 12, 2024 at 2:01 am

Great tips!! It’s good to hear Ayesha Currys products are well made & inexpensive!

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 5:04 pm

Totally! Someone gave me this as a gift, and it immediately became my favorite cutting board. Go Ayesha!

  3. @sadiejay_ on January 12, 2024 at 2:02 am

Wow I’m early! 🙂 Just moved into my first apartment and this video came right on time! Happy to see you posting regularly again — hope you’re well!

edit to add after watch: the first thing I bought was a vitamix!

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 5:03 pm

Yay! Thanks for commenting early, and for watching 💗
Vitamix or other high speed blender is a must. I have the KitchenAid Pro Line. I love that these appliances last decades!
      Congratulations on your new home!

Another good place to buy good kitchen appliances for low prices is Marshall’s. Yes, I love the wood spoons too.

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 5:02 pm

Yes! The whole Marshall’s TJ Maxx family of stores are bomb!

  5. @ShannonSobota on January 12, 2024 at 2:51 am

I am so happy to see your videos again too!! 💜 You forgot a blender!! Haha My Vitamix is my baby. That is probably my favorite appliance ever. I use it to make smoothies, soups, ground nuts-seeds, nice-cream, creamy nuts to add to soups (instead of coconut milk), and so many more things!!! Thanks for the video!

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 5:02 pm

I know!! It was considered. I have a longer list in my upcoming cookbook. Poor blender had to take a back seat to the immersion blender…though I do use my blender every single day 🥰

  6. @ShannonSobota on January 12, 2024 at 2:52 am

And thank you for recommending Home Goods! I’ll have to check it out.

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 5:00 pm

      Love that place!

  7. @asexualatheist3504 on January 12, 2024 at 2:54 am

I gotta have a rice cooker and a clay pot. Those are the two items I would add to your excellent list.

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 5:00 pm

Oooh! Which clay pot do you have? I have always wanted one.

  8. @shamariyah9968 on January 12, 2024 at 2:54 am

Wooden spoons are the best!! Love your videos. I will have to get that food chopper!!!

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 4:59 pm

Aren’t they!! And they are prettier than plastic and metals one too 😌

  9. @flamingohead27 on January 12, 2024 at 3:24 am

One of my favorite tool is my Vitamix. It doesn’t matter how fibrous the veg is it liquefies everything. I like to make kale shakes and smooth soups. It is amazing. It’s the only way to get my husband to eat veggies. I throw liquid flavor and it tastes good enough for my lucky man to eat. Also, a coffee grinder. I don’t use it for coffee I use it for fresh dried spices and anything I need fine powdered.

    • @gonetomars3697 on January 12, 2024 at 1:24 pm

Coffee grinder for spices is so great, we always used those in restaurants.

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 4:59 pm

Totally!! Such great tools. A spice grinder should have been on my list. I use mine for spices and flax seed all of the time.

  10. @sophiaosei1980 on January 12, 2024 at 3:27 am

My fave is my heavy-duty cast iron skillet by Emeril Lagasse, 12 years plus & seasoned after each use. Best decision switching to wooden cooking utensils! On my wish list are a food processor & Kitchenaide standmixer with the glass bowl.

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 4:58 pm

Fantastic!! I also should have mentioned you can get great appliances on Facebook marketplace. I sell there often.

  11. @bready4671 on January 12, 2024 at 3:34 am

I have alot of these tools & my fav is my food processor but I hate washing it by hand..usually put it dishwasher…the veggie chopper I NEED!😁

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 4:57 pm

I also put my food processor attachments in the dish washer 🙂

  12. @rosacontreras315 on January 12, 2024 at 3:39 am

Thank you for the wonderful information 😊

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 4:57 pm

You’re welcome!! Thanks for watching 🙂

  13. @sleepquietlytiredtoys4212 on January 12, 2024 at 4:59 am

Hey Sis!! Shalom when’d you get back??? Anyways I’m so glad your back!! 😂🙋🏽‍♀️

Edit to say, I’ve had my cuisiart food processor for 22 years! I recently had to replace the bowl, but it was totally my fault, I was cooking 🧑🏿‍🍳 while very tired and I misused the appliance! Don’t do that with the older stuff because it’s not easy to get replacement parts!! 😅

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 4:57 pm

      Wow! So impressive!
Glad to be back. Thank you for watching!!

  14. @brendaedith on January 12, 2024 at 7:47 am

Loved this episode! I trust your cookware recommendations, I’ve been a fan since 2015 or 2016 can’t remember but you’ve taught me so much! Thanks for this helpful episode.

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 4:56 pm

Aww, thank you. I am honored you’ve stuck with my channel for so long. Thank you!!

  15. @chipperlad on January 12, 2024 at 9:02 am

Your laugh is infectious 😂 I couldn’t help but laugh along with you.

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 4:56 pm

      Haha, thank you!

  16. @rainygreene9161 on January 12, 2024 at 12:40 pm

If you are grinding only 2 tbsp of something like flaxseed or hemp seed what do you use?

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 4:55 pm

Great question. Spice grinder. Here is an affordable one from Kitchen Aid. I recommend it because the bowls are removable for ease of cleaning

    • @rainygreene9161 on January 12, 2024 at 5:00 pm

@@SweetPotatoSoul perfect!! Thanks. Not having one has thrown a kink into things. I had something that used to belong to my mom that I was making due with even though it wasn’t great and then it pretty much became useless!!

  17. @bluethnerfluegel on January 12, 2024 at 12:46 pm

Was just wondering if you would be recommending an instant pot since my rice cooker broke and I am considering an instant pot to replace it. Your number 1 recommendation convinced me right off the bat!

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 4:52 pm

Totally! And I can’t believe that the IP now has an air fryer lid attachment. I’m considering buying it to try it out.

  18. @louisborsato7676 on January 12, 2024 at 4:27 pm

My top 3 are my Omega juicer, Instant Pot Pro, and my Ninja Air Fryer.

    • @SweetPotatoSoul on January 12, 2024 at 4:51 pm

      Love it!

  19. @olivias7261 on January 12, 2024 at 4:44 pm

    Great list!

  20. @jodigerrish300ytt on January 12, 2024 at 6:44 pm

Wood is best for keeping a good sharp edge to your knives. Plastic and stone will dull the edge.
