Today, I’m going to tell you how to get rid of bloating. After you chew your food, it travels through the esophagus and into the stomach. The stomach is very acidic to break down proteins and kill microbes.

Ninety percent of digestion occurs in the small intestine, where bile and secondary bile salts made by your microbes break down your food. The large intestine, small intestine, and pancreas release enzymes to aid digestion. Around 20% of these enzymes are made by your microbes.

Bloating is caused by a problem with digestion. The type, amount, and diversity of your gut bacteria directly affect bloating. This often depends on if you’ve taken antibiotics and how much you’ve taken over time.

Broad-spectrum antibiotics significantly reduce your microbes, and they do not come back! If you’re missing any of your gut microbes, you’ll experience bloating, gas, burping, constipation, and more.

Other chemicals in the environment that mimic antibiotics can also cause a bloated belly. Glyphosate, birth control pills, steroids, anti-depression medications, PPIs, artificial sweeteners, fluoride, and statins can all contribute to bloating.

So many people can not properly digest food anymore because they don’t have all of their microbes in sufficient quantities.

A high-quality probiotic is a great solution to bloating. Along with probiotics, consume fermented foods regularly, such as kefir, yogurt, sauerkraut, and pickles. Apple cider vinegar and kombucha can also help awaken dormant microbes by acidifying their environment. These microbes help support your bile and enzymes, helping you digest food, which takes stress off your organs.

I had no idea how much antibiotics and even things like artificial sweeteners or glyphosate could affect our gut health long-term! This really explains why bloating can persist for years. Fermented foods and probiotics seem like a game-changer for healing from the inside out. Thanks for sharing! 🙏

Dr. Berg explains how bloating is caused by digestive issues, often due to a lack of gut microbes from antibiotic use. He recommends probiotics, fermented foods, and acidic foods to restore gut health and eliminate bloating permanently.

Been on healthy Keto and Carnivor for almost 5 years now.
Last year I was hospitalized by force in a mental hospital which was worse than prison!
After that I had bloating almost for eating anything other than eggs and beef.
I recently starred prolonged fasting again and added our traditional Pickles back to my diet and drank apple cider vinegar almost daily.
Now even after I eat my homemade cake which is super pro inflammatory, I don’t have 80% as much bloating as I used to.
This man speaks the truth. I’ve experienced everything he says first hand many and many and many times!

Thank you for making the point that some people respond differently to certain foods/stimuli. After decades of chronic health issues and dealing with so-called “experts” who seem to think everybody is exactly the same(as if we were all programs/robots), then wanting to remove body parts when their pills don’t work, it’s very refreshing to hear you say that. Your advice has started me down the road to recovery, along with many others, sir.

  15. @Syrin23 on November 25, 2024 at 6:38 pm

I’m a retired MD, and I used to get called out by my colleagues for telling patients to IMMEDIATELY stop taking antibiotics after they start feeling better, even it was just 1-2 days. And yes my reasoning was to preserve the gut flora. I have NEVER had a patient tell me they didn’t recover because they stopped their antibiotics.

    • @rusticrye5413 on November 25, 2024 at 9:38 pm

      That’s really interesting.

Pity you are retired… we need more drs like you.

    • @Aneliuse on November 25, 2024 at 11:51 pm

The issue isnt that they didnt recover. The issue is that a half-treatment creates antibiotic resistant bacteria.

    • @Syrin23 on November 26, 2024 at 12:00 am

@@Aneliuse Not nearly to the same extent prolonged exposure does, and the prolonged exposure decimates normal flora.

Toward the end of my father’s life, he would frequently throw up right after eating. I figured out that he would never vomit if he had a couple bites of sauerkraut before he ate. He didn’t have to eat an entire serving, just a little bit. This explains so much about digestion.

  17. @drsarwatshamsshams1609 on November 25, 2024 at 7:12 pm

I being doctor, never took my kids to doctor and treated them whole life on my own . Never completed antibiotics given time . What I did ! Same as you said, whenever they showed NO FEVER and better health, discontinued. This way of treatment was suggested by a friend of mine (pediatrician) .
    Ut really works.😊
Now kids are grown up men 😅. Thanks God.

    • @farrukhrafiq-dk3ru on November 26, 2024 at 8:33 am

u can never be a doctor and i can vouch for it!
leaving antibiotics half way, only to increase resistance of that bacteria that would ultimately stop responding to that antibiotic.
this is the sole reason of ever increasing antibiotic resistant strains of microbes because of the ignorant people who stop the antibiotics midway.

      please stop misguiding people!
