Easy Keto French Toast Recipe [with 90-second Mug Bread]

When people go on a keto diet, they often think they will have to say goodbye to carb-heavy dishes like French toast. While this is technically true, there are some excellent keto-friendly alternatives to bread available, which means you can still enjoy the sweet goodness of French toast!

As the name suggests, our easy keto French toast recipe is super quick to make. All you need to do is make a small loaf of mug bread, then follow the same process as making a traditional batch of French toast. Easy as that!

Here’s how to cook this lovely dish. You start by making mug bread which can be done by mixing all of the dry ingredients in a bowl and then adding eggs. Then microwave the mixture for a few minutes to cook the bread.

Once the bread is ready, you can turn it into French toast. Coat the bread in a batter of egg, cream, and cinnamon and then fry it up until the toast is golden brown on both sides. Once ready, it’s time to serve and enjoy.

We love how versatile this dish is. You can serve it with a simple dollop of butter on top or something more substantial like bacon, fruit, or other condiments like jam. Whatever you add, the French toast will remain the star of this dish.

Next time you’re looking for a quick and easy breakfast dish to whip up on a busy weekday or a relaxing weekend, try this magnificent easy keto French toast recipe. Everybody will love it!

@@RuledMe Made this today for breakfast. Quick and easy. The wife and I both liked it. It is still keto. It is a good substitute Keto will never be as good as the real thing. Would I make it again? Yes.

Glad to hear it! I think that’s the nature of the beast with replicating gluten-based recipes. Never as good, but a good enough sub that satiates the craving haha @@mrwhipper21

Hi all, can you tell me what is the purpose of the allulose o how can I replace it?

    • @RuledMe on December 20, 2023 at 11:11 pm

It’s a sweetener that will caramelize. You can replace with whatever your preferred sweetener is, but it might change the texture slightly.
