My husband naturally eats like this and I always thought there was something wrong. Now I realize that’s why he’s nearly 40 and in excellent health and shape.

I just turned 40 and was sitting at around 250 pounds. My initial intention was to start IF with 2 meals a day and no snacking, while making sure I ingest plenty of veggies and good fats and meats. I inadvertently ended up doing OMAD because, with the healthy Keto type diet I was striving for, I honestly just wasn’t hungry until far later in the day. I’m down to 225 after a little over a month and seriously feel wonderful. Again, OMAD was not my initial intention (I honestly didn’t think such a thing was even feasible for me) but with IF combined with this healthy Keto type diet, it just sort of happened naturally. I can’t stress enough that this is the real deal and cannot recommend this kind of plan enough.

      Anytime!

Agreed! Recently started fasting 12 to 16 hours, but do need to better control the amount I eat. Still, I do feel cleaner. Farting is crazy, but that’s something I love 😂

  9. @gwb8445 on November 3, 2023 at 3:25 am

I do OMAD. Has done wonders for me. In fact, as I type this I’m eating my steak 🥩 and eggs🥚 and washing it down with some green tea!😮

My biggest problem is over-eating. I have to remind myself to eat smaller portions. Thanx for the reminder, Dr. Berg.

    All true.

Another way sleep is disrupted is when blood sugar regulation is impaired by fasting; spikes and dips in blood sugar can also disturb sleep.

When you go to bed hungry, your blood sugar can get too low while you sleep.

One way around this is to have a very small snack before bed.

A spoon-full of peanut butter will do, but if you’re intermittent fasting, the other option is to make sure one of your meals is 2 hours before bed.

You’re less likely to have a big dip in blood sugar, and your far enough away from bed time that the process of digesting your meal won’t affect your sleep quality.

Great video, thank you so much. I’m injured and can’t work out, so it was a good time to start fasting again. Difference this time was I was already on keto, and I’ve lost 4lb in a week. Maybe that’s a bit much but I feel great.

  14. @gracechase5574 on November 7, 2023 at 2:50 am

Dr. Breg my last meal is at 6pm my first meal is at 1pm. If I need something to eat I just eat a hand full of nuts or ill drink water. I also juice and will drink that also. I was 210 lbs May I’m 190 today By following the 18 hr fast.

  15. @Jay-kk3dv on November 7, 2023 at 3:51 am

Crazy how accurate this information is and that dietitians won’t tell you any of it

    • @tinylivingdude on December 7, 2023 at 8:16 am

Sadly, dieticians know very little about actually nutrition. They’re brainwashed to think whatever the current system (which is heavily influenced by big pharma) wants us to believe.

Diagnosed with type ll diabetes on April, not taking medication. Started 18-6 intermittent fasting. I was 160 pounds and A1C of 7.5, in October my weight was 120 and my A1C 5.1. Diabetes on remission. 😊
