Long before prediabetes and diabetes comes insulin resistance. You can be insulin resistant for 15-20 years before you develop diabetes!
Chronic sugar consumption can lead to insulin resistance, but seed oils can be equally problematic. Seed oils cause damage to the cell membranes (which contain insulin receptors) and damage to the mitochondria.
There is evidence that unsaturated fatty acids can reduce the risk of diabetes, but this is not the case with rancid, oxidized seed oils. These highly refined seed oils are full of toxic byproducts such as aldehydes, which create irreversible damage in the insulin receptor. The average person consumes 25%-30% of their calories from seed oils.
You can have high insulin and normal blood sugar for many years. Over time, this overworks the pancreas, causing the beta cells that produce insulin to become overworked and eventually stop producing insulin, leaving the body without a mechanism to regulate blood sugar levels.
Normal blood sugar should be around 80, which is equivalent to a single teaspoon of sugar in the blood, even though the average person consumes 81 to 131 teaspoons of sugar every day!
If you have diabetes or you want to avoid it, avoid these foods:
1. Fast food fries and fried chicken
2. Deep-fried restaurant foods
3. Chips/crisps/corn chips
4. Doughnuts and pastries
5. Sweetened drinks
6. Frozen breaded foods
7. Commercial salad dressing and mayo
8. Instant noodles
9. Granola/protein bars and cookies
10. Microwave popcorn
To detox aldehydes, consume more of the following nutrients:
•Carnosine: grass-fed red meat
•Sulfur-rich vegetables: onions, garlic, broccoli
•Polyphenols: green tea, dark chocolate, pomegranate

No seed oils, keep your carbs to 30g, drink water and lemon water, green tea, organic coffee. Keep your stress down, get some good sleep, keep away from the news and listen to music. Check in with Dr. Berg’s videos if you need to. Eat raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, organic salad with olive oil or organic avocado oil, and don’t forget vitamins and nutrition. Be careful when you’re traveling, plan your menu for restaurants beforehand, and just in case, keep canned tuna, salmon, and sardines.

You pretty much summed it up. Adding brief, intense and infrequent strength training workout 1-2 week (Arthur Jones, Mike Mentzer, Dorian Yates type HIT method) along with any other sport or favorite activities and we have a complete longevity health program.

All good advise. When my wife and I travel and stay at hotels we try to find hotels that have BBQs and lend out the utensils. We go and get our meats and other food from a local store and make our own food. It can be challenging to find these hotels in some areas.

A young nurse said her LDL numbers are bad and she’s on meds and a shot I told her about Dr Berg She said that she knows all about Dr Berg videos because that’s All peers come in the office talking about. What you said about the oil in restaurants being reheated is so spot on. I used to work at McDonald’s a few years ago, and because it was always so busy, the oil in the fryer was rarely ever replaced

I already knew this , been watching Dr.Berg videos for over 3 years now on IF/Heatlhy Keto, I went from 334lbs>245Lbs today, but I still watch these videos anyways for reinforcement
I gave up seed oils 6 years ago. Mostly gave up sugar 10 years ago and almost completely gave up sugar 4 years ago. Gave up potato chips recently. Eat way less bread. Replaced breakfast with eggs only. Most of my calories come from animal protein sources. I am losing weight and feel better. I have not had any desert item in 3 months. I don’t even crave sweet stuff anymore. I am deprogramming myself.
You completely gave up sugar in 4 years but you haven’t had a dessert in 3 months? Can you explain this? Were your desserts for the past 4 years non-sugary?

Anybody else grossed out by the first part of this video? Just to hear Dr. Berg break everything down really makes me glad that I have been following him for the last four years. I look better today than I did when I was twenty (I turned forty this year) and I owe it all to the education of Dr. Berg.
I cut my carbs by more than half, gave up soda, drink lemon water (no sugar) and reduced my portions. My A1C dropped from 6.9 to 5.5. I dropped 29 lbs! I’m probably in the best health in my adult life. And watching your videos is what motivated me to do it. A big thanks, doc.
