Intermittent fasting doesn’t equal calorie restriction.

I don’t see a problem with a 500-600 calorie deficit if you are trying to lose weight.

This can be maintained until weight is lost. Restricting calories more than this will lead to hunger, binge eating, and slow down your metabolism.

Remember that many people can lose weight and heal with no effort put into calorie counting at all, simply because of the positive benefits this has on your metabolism. Fasting alone offers incredible benefits.
