Good to know, thank you. I’ll start making kefir again.

      How do you make it?

My mom got mad at me for calling it Key-fur, she said it’s pronounced Kah-fear! Anyways, I’m drinking my Kefir before bed tonight!!

    • @theodoreperkoski1951 on November 17, 2023 at 10:00 pm

It can also be pronounced ke (short e sound) fir with the the accent on the first syllable.(that is how they say it in Poland)

    I’m going to try Kefir!!!!

    • @experimenthealthyketo83 on November 18, 2023 at 7:10 pm

Try it homemade from raw organic milk if you can. From a grass fed animal, if you can.

    • @pamelatimbush3762 on November 18, 2023 at 11:10 pm

Me too! Wonder does it taste like plain yogurt ( if so I’ll have to add some fruit to it cause I hate the taste of plain yogurt 😖) or like cottage cheese (it kinda looks like it from pics I’ve seen)🤔.
Here’s to our improved health 🎉

Don’t forget those with Addisons have problems producing/regulating cortisol so read into any side effects/contraindications as I believe they will need to up their meds on kefir.

I drink at least 32 oz of Kefir every day it is definitely the best part of my whole diet. Way more nutrient dense than yogurt.

    • @jacquesjtheripper5922 on November 18, 2023 at 3:55 am

      32 oz😮

    • @Infiniti25 on November 18, 2023 at 8:00 am

@@jacquesjtheripper5922when you got kefir grains at home and you have to feed them, they grow and you either get rid of some grains each time or you feed it more.
Like feeding your sourdough starter, but much easier to deal with your “discard” because you can just drink the kefir and put spare grains in compost, whereas with sourdough discard you either have to bake with it or put it in the bin.

    • @kingblade1419 on November 19, 2023 at 10:30 pm

      You can eat the grains

    • @BrianWetzel on November 20, 2023 at 7:19 pm

  7. @oliviamiller9267 on November 18, 2023 at 2:19 am

Good to know, Dr. Berg. I thought the probiotic benefits would be lost due to natural stomach acid. I’ll put kefir back in my diet. I actually like it.

  11. @kats7949 on November 19, 2023 at 1:53 am

I drink it when I can find plain kefer. I don’t want the flavors which have alot of added sugar. This is nice to know

    • @sunayakong8537 on November 19, 2023 at 7:07 pm

That’s the one I drink, if you get the one with flavors they have tons of sugar. I get the plain and add just a bit of monk fruit so it’s not so sour.

    • @kats7949 on November 19, 2023 at 7:15 pm

@@sunayakong8537 yes. I like it sour ahahaha but sometimes I blend it with frozen or fresh raspberries. I can’t always find the plain in my small city so it’s sad. I buy it when I can. HERES TO HEALTH!!! CHEERS
