Costco Review of Healthy Foods with @BobbyParrish

Can you find nutritious foods at Costco? Well, I found my friend, Bobby Parrish, and he’s going to help us find out.

0:00 Introduction: Does Costco have healthy food?
0:18 Looking for nutritious foods at Costco

Today, we’re going through the aisles of hundreds of items at Costco to hunt down nutritious foods.

Grocery stores are packed with unhealthy, if not dangerous, food items. It's difficult and overwhelming at times to sift through the items and make healthy choices.

We’re analyzing the nutrition content of a few different foods to help you better understand what to get and what to avoid.

Let me know in the comments which foods you want to learn more about!

I would like to thank Dr. Berg and Bobby for their advice on the issue of selecting health food from the supermarket. It’s was very helpful to watch.

  2. @Navajosun on January 23, 2024 at 1:14 pm

    Thank you Dr. Berg.
I love this idea. This is a great way for me to share with my family, how to shop for healthy foods without feeling like I’m being a nag.

    • @rodagrail3231 on January 23, 2024 at 2:02 pm

So well said…I always feel like a nag…😊

    • @hestermofet6350 on January 23, 2024 at 2:40 pm

Yep…tell your family too much true info & they start to tune you out. Their brains can’t handle the overload of truth. ✌️

    • @NansGlobalKitchen on January 23, 2024 at 2:54 pm

Yes this is 100% true my family tune me out when I talk about the benefits of eating healthy food lol. @@hestermofet6350

    • @pamcotterman7073 on January 23, 2024 at 3:24 pm

Yes, you tell your family all the things and they look at you like you have 2 heads! And then they hear the same thing from someone else and they consider it fact! That really irritates me to no end 😖 Hey, but at least their paying attention to someone 👍

  3. @AshleyPaquin1 on January 23, 2024 at 2:00 pm

Dr. Berg in the world! More of this please! It’s obvious how much you care about helping humanity be well and healthy. Thank you

Absolutely loved this video, Dr. Berg! Great way to inform consumers on better choices to make in our everyday lives. Some people may not be able to afford high end supplements but making informed decisions on purchasing items we use/need everyday is so helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and educating us! PLEASE continue to make videos like this one.

  6. @suzanneandersen7319 on January 23, 2024 at 2:51 pm

This was great! I love that you and Bobby are collaborating together helping us to know what food we should or shouldn’t eat. I’ve been following you Dr Berg for about 5 years and I just found Bobby a couple weeks ago, what a great team!

  7. @16bluegoose on January 23, 2024 at 2:55 pm

This is awesome! I just went to Costco the other day and picked up the avocado oil mayonnaise! I’m slowly trying to swap out what I currently have for healthier options. I can’t thank you enough for all your hard work! ❤

    • @amandawilliams9135 on January 23, 2024 at 5:28 pm

I’m doing the same, slowly adding good stuff into my diet and getting rid of the bad. My local store (not Costco) has an avocado mayonnaise which I’m going to try. I didn’t even know there was such a thing! 😀

    • @robertcovino4889 on January 23, 2024 at 5:31 pm

How do you like the taste? Thanks…

    • @mia6089 on January 23, 2024 at 5:40 pm

      @@robertcovino4889I’ve tried it. It’s good 😌.

    • @antonia5546 on January 23, 2024 at 3:12 pm

It was awesome seeing you both together. You 2 are my main influences for food and health wisdom.

    • @risitas5874 on January 23, 2024 at 3:12 pm

      Was cool.
I’m just sad that the prices in Canada are so much higher xD

    • @arthurkor3474 on January 23, 2024 at 3:16 pm

      Subbed 👍

    • @pamcotterman7073 on January 23, 2024 at 3:22 pm

Absolutely loved this. And so glad y’all included fermented sauerkraut 🙌 Ok, I learned a few things … 1) Our family always used Hellman’s Mayo. I’ll switch that up now! Plus I noticed the “ingredients derived from a “BIOENGINEERED” source”, stated on the side of the label 😮 2) I always thought Grapeseed oil was a decent oil. Never putting 2 and 2 together when y’all always say NO seed oils ~ DUH 🤦‍♀️ Thx for such an eye opening idea! Do more of these …. 👍👍😁

    • @MattWestbrook on January 23, 2024 at 3:23 pm

Good stuff, Bobby. Would have liked to see what vitamins you thought were a good idea, especially your opinion on the Kirkland organic multivitamin.

  9. @changes649 on January 23, 2024 at 3:27 pm

This combo was good. I watched Bobby ‘s combo with Dr. Berg as well and it was just as informative. The more we know, the better off we are.

  10. @vicki2229 on January 23, 2024 at 3:51 pm

Love seeing you both collaborate in food nutrition education. It’s important to understand clean verses toxic and so many are unaware. We will all be healthier as a result! Thank you!

  11. @AndtherewasJoy13 on January 23, 2024 at 3:58 pm

I really appreciate this collaboration, Dr. Berg.
Some months ago I downloaded the Bobby Approved app.
Dare I say I’ve been imprudent about taking it as seriously as I really should.

Seeing you two together talk optimal choice for best health really puts a feather in my cap.
I feel officially dialed up, especially because you guys are at a warehouse store many human beings spend hundreds and thousands of dollars at.

Soooi bummed to hear about One a days, glad for the lessons, though.

    Huge thanks!

I would LOVE this to be a regular series! One comment about Wildbrine, since it is a LIVE cultured food, make sure to use a clean spoon to remove a portion every time AND press it down to keep the sauerkraut BELOW the liquid.

    • @veralubov7405 on January 23, 2024 at 6:05 pm

      Thanks a lot for advice!

    • @bonnienedza55 on January 23, 2024 at 7:00 pm

      And don’t heat it

“Fantastic collaboration, Dr. Berg! I’ve been a follower of your work for a long time, and I must say, this collaboration stands out as one of the best. As someone who regularly shops at Costco, I’m always eager to learn about the finer details and insider tips. It’s been incredibly insightful. Also, a special thanks for including Bob in this venture. His contributions have definitely added a valuable dimension. Appreciate all the insights and looking forward to more such collaborations!”

I LOVED the two of you together! At the end when you noted the ingredient list of the multi vitamin I hoped to hear about a better alternative.

I have been watching both of you for some time now, and when I saw the two of you together, I got super excited. I’m currently revamping meals for our family of four, particularly looking to increasing leafy greens and moving towards gluten-free products. I would be interested to locate and find options – frozen and fresh for leafy greens. I would be interested in finding online options for gluten-free. Additionally, I’m looking to increase protein intake per meal to stay satiated longer. Grateful for you two! ❤
