I gave up bread about a month ago and it has worked wonders…..sadly now I need to give up alcohol which isn’t so easy😮‍💨

Pretend like every drink is poison and takes days or weeks off your “health span” if not your life span.
And then realize that it’s not pretend.
Use the money you save to eat better (e.g. keto) and toward more beneficial hobbies.
You’ll find that drunken conversation, when you’re the only one sober, isn’t nearly as compelling as it’s once seemed.
There’s no such thing as “moderation””. It’s just a slippery slope. The easiest drink, or potato chip, or piece of bread, to resist is the first one. “Moderate” indulgence just reignites addictions. Like with any bad relationship, make a clean break and don’t look back.
If you eat clean, alcohol just becomes another toxic thing to erase from your dietary palette.

Rice 🌾 is our main food 😊

    • @YamiKisara on August 15, 2024 at 4:40 pm

Not traditionally though. Traditionally, Indians ate close to 8000 different region grain varieties. It’s only in the last few decades that white rice became prominent and nearly drove those traditional grains (some other rice varieties included) to extinction.

    • @KrishanKumar-ec1ch on August 15, 2024 at 5:40 pm

North Indians are regular wheat eaters and south Indians and bengal are regular rice eaters@@YamiKisara

I have Indian family members and almost all of them are overweight and have diabetes. Their diets are horrific. Yes they may eat a lot of veggies but they are soaked in oil. They eat sweets that are made purely from sugar. They have dinner parties often where they stuff themselves with greasy dishes. The lack of meat in their diets isn’t doing them any favor.

The awareness about diabetes is growing in india, and veganism- doesn’t have to, because we turned humans from early humans long ago.

    • @KrishanKumar-ec1ch on August 15, 2024 at 5:45 pm

There is difference between veganism and raw veganism. Grains pulses are grazing animals food which we are eating by modifying and it’s not suitable for sedentary lifestyle. Today people who are having less physical demand should consume more raw diet even if they don’t want because they are not giving high physical demand to body

Im a 6th generation South African of Indian descent. We have just broken out of this cycle with my generation,l as we are more informed . No more seed oils, carbs and sugar. Many of our grandparents suffered with heart disease due to this diet.

    • @babovic7775 on August 15, 2024 at 5:00 pm

You can eat carbs but from the right source and not to much

    • @robertzabinski6083 on August 15, 2024 at 5:17 pm

The only way I know how to cut out carbs and meet nutritional needs is with animal sources: Eggs. diary, fish, and meat. Is that the plan?

When I traveled in India I got quite bloated 😂… But I actually also tend to do that in many other countries. Im very sensitive to all that starch, and lack of proteins and fresh greeens. And yes the oils was bad! I remember I drank SO much Chai of the streets… Until I felt it was bad for me, so filled with sugar, so I stopped.

    • @KrishanKumar-ec1ch on August 15, 2024 at 5:42 pm

My friend’s mother drink chai with rasgulla. You know Indian sweet rasgulla and why it is so sweet and you are drinking with chai and there is no combination of rasgulla chai taste

My Indian inlaw was here recently. We only ate two of the six meals she prepared over five days. We gained five pounds. We were burping and groaning, trying to feel comfortable. It’s an atrocious diet.

    • @johedges5946 on August 15, 2024 at 7:08 pm

I’m so sorry, and I didn’t mean to, but your comment made me giggle😂, I’m just imagining you burping , moaning and trying to smile while she looked on bemused x

I”m trying to give up sugar, but, rice, being latino, is very difficult to give up. I mean I understand, rice turns into sugar in the body. However, for us Latinos, it’s our main dish.
