Let’s talk about the best ways to increase growth hormone, especially as you age.

In adults, growth hormone is crucial for muscle building and fat burning. It’s also important for building tendons, ligaments, collagen, joints, and bones. However, growth hormone dramatically decreases with age.

Side effects of a deficiency in growth hormone can include:
• Difficulty building muscle
• Cognitive issues
• Lowered mood
• Higher levels of LDL
• Hair loss
• Insomnia

Here are the top things that can block growth hormone:
• Insomnia
• Sleep apnea
• High blood sugar
• High insulin
• Chronic stress
• Liver problems

The pituitary gland produces growth hormone. Instead of replacing the hormone with a synthetic version, why don’t we support the gland that makes growth hormone?

How to increase growth hormone naturally:
1. Try Pituitrophin PMG from Standard Process
2. Do intense exercise
3. Take milk thistle (if you have a liver problem)
4. Get on the Healthy Keto® diet
5. Do cold immersion therapy
6. Do heat therapy
7. Do intermittent fasting

Some people find their muscles look flat or dehydrated after getting on keto. In this situation, it’s important to drink plenty of water with electrolytes, especially potassium and sodium. This will help keep the muscles hydrated. You could also try increasing your carbs to 50 grams per day by consuming foods like berries but still avoiding refined carbs and sugar.

I’m 51, female, and got into IF and prolonged fasting 10 months ago. I lost fat and built muscle the most by my 3-day+ fasts. I’ve done 3 3-day, 1 4-day, and 2 5.5-day fasts in the last 10 months. I’ve only been this built back when I was at the gym lifting weights 3 times a week in my early 30s. Now I’m just living my rural farm life and have the same result because of the IF and prolonged fasting. And I’m omnivorous, clean keto with no supplementation for HGH.

Is one three day fast every month good enough? What is your opinion please?

@@strizz1992 It depends on your goals. I originally started fasting (IF and prolonged) to heal an auto-immune disorder (severe asthmatic response to histamine in food and produced by my body that I HAD to heal because I literally couldn’t EAT at all without causing an asthma attack) which I did. I fasted a LOT to make that happen (not to mention I was asymptomatic while I wasn’t eating so that made it easier).

In the _process_ I noticed my muscles getting really defined and my strength increasing! So, I don’t know what to tell you regarding how much to do to get that result, but my advice is to start upping your fasting lengths and see what happens over the next 6 months.

    • @allhimwithme5115 on October 17, 2023 at 12:39 pm

@@strizz1992 I can’t speak for Brian, but my longest fast, 134 hours, was 3 weeks ago and I’m still experiencing some healing of an eye issue that started getting better the day after my fast. I don’t feel euphoric, LOL, but the results can last for months if you’re talking about stem cell production.

This is great! It’s difficult to avoid temptations while on keto initially, until you understand the mechanism of what you’re winning. And that’s the context you provide with your videos! For me, it’s been the sleep! I have put on more weight on my midsection despite being on OMAD lately though. I gained some of that weight back, but my sleep is consistently great and my mood has improved as well as my digestion. I guess it’s just a matter of being patient! Thank You!

0:24: 💪 Growth hormone levels decrease significantly as we age, leading to difficulties in muscle building and fat burning.
3:06: 💤 Sleep apnea can lead to a lack of oxygen and hinder growth hormone production.
6:18: 🩸 Insulin resistance can lead to low insulin levels and a potential inability to regulate blood sugar.
9:30: 💡 Pituitrophin PMG can support the gland that produces growth hormone and improve sleep, hair, and nail growth.
12:59: 💪 Intermittent fasting can increase growth hormone levels and help with muscle loss on the ketogenic diet.

It’s my understanding that plants consume oxygen at night by burning carbs for energy. It would be necessary to give plants a night-light for them to produce oxygen at night. P.S. I love Dr. Berg and watch all of his videos. Thank you Dr. Berg for sharing your wisdom/research and making the world a healthier place.💯❤

True but they were photosynthesizing all day so there should be some in there already plus having a light on while your sleeping would likely disrupt ur circadian rhythms

    • @Thelakeside1 on October 20, 2023 at 10:27 am

Also plants need dark to perform respiration to grow and repair themselves

    • @urastus9202 on November 3, 2023 at 9:16 am

I think they’re dormant at night. Photosynthesis is driven by sunlight (photo = light). O2 is only released during photosynthesis – in daylight (or light).

    • @ChronicKPOP on December 8, 2023 at 6:51 am

correct, having a plant by you at night to increase O2 is completely false. Take everything you hear on youtube with a grain of salt and do your own research from multiple reputable sources before committing things to memory. Having said that, the amount of C02 they give off at night is negligible.

I am 61 years old; 62 in one week. I have never told you how much you have helped me with my health and weight loss. I was 282 when I started watching your health advice. The education about what I was eating was the reason I was overweight. The keto information, eating more salads, getting wheat gluten out of my life, no more Cornola oil foods. my sugar intake is very low now. I lost; without running or high levels of exercise 29 pounds. 253 is the new me and still cutting up. I have abs again and lost all the inflammation in my joints. I can ride my bike again. I eat 2 times a day fasting between. Thank you Thank you. I have shared it with everyone.

I can relate, i found Dr Bergs videos about a year ago, searching for natural remedies for thyroid disease. At this point, i stopped buying pasta, rice, potatoes. I bought 3 hens that give me 3 eggs a day, which enables me to eat between 3 and 6 eggs a day (depending on if i am home). Eating tons of salad + eggs, even if i want to eat less healthy food, after eating eggs and salad, i am so full! I also eat some dark chocolat and bananas, and i lose a pound a week without even trying… (which i gain back whenever i visit my mom lol..)
