Autoimmune Disease and Vitamin D: ▶️
Today, I’m going to show you how to get rid of hyperpigmentation. Bleaching agents can eliminate dark spots, but they destroy the cells that make melanin.
Dark spots are often blamed on the sun, and they can become more problematic as we age. Melanocytes are cells that make the pigment melanin in your skin. These cells are affected by oxidation. To fix hyperpigmentation, focus on antioxidation from antioxidants.
Adequate vitamin D will protect you against the overproduction of melanin, preventing dark spots from forming. If you’re avoiding the sun and using sunscreen, you will be low in vitamin D!
Work on increasing vitamin D levels by consuming 10,000 to 20,000 IU of vitamin D3 daily. Build antioxidant networks in the body by consuming high-quality protein such as fish, meat, and eggs. Trace minerals, including zinc, copper, and iodine, are vital. B vitamins, vitamin C, and vitamin E are also essential.
If you want a quick fix to remove uneven skin tone, use grass-fed organic plain unsweetened yogurt. Rub it into the skin and leave it on for 5 minutes before rinsing off. Add this step to your skincare routine once per week to help get rid of dark spots.
Yogurt contains lactic acid at a gentle concentration that dissolves the bonds between dead skin cells that have darkened in pigment. It also provides probiotics to support the skin’s microbiome. If hyperpigmentation is severe, add a pinch of turmeric to the yogurt before applying it to your skin.

Lets go!!! Glad to have woke up this mornin!
good morning amigo!
❤I’m glad I woke up early day today. I don’t say morning anymore because it sounds the same as “mourning”. Of course there is no such thing as a “good” mourning. Just wanted to clarify why I didn’t write “morning”. I read about this a few times somewhere. Yes, I’m super excited about waking up “early” day too. Especially since the inflammation is down enough for me to enjoy running errands. It is wonderful to have more time to share ❤️ love with with sweet souls. May you continue to enjoy life. ❤

I don’t think I can trust any Dr. As much as I trust this guy. Look at how amazing he looks now compared to 5 or 3 years ago clearly he knows exactly what he is doing and I’m here for it❤️
Me too! 😊 … hello from Melbourne Australia 👋
That doesn’t mean he isn’t a human and doesn’t have biases.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@Tom-x7f3m True, but may I ask that what bias does he have? I’m just curious about your opinion.
@@Tom-x7f3m You can’t doubt our dear Dr. Berg. Whatever Dr. Berg says is right, you believe.
I am proud of myself for staying on keto -fasting diet for 3 years straight now. from 410 lbs to 237
Well done Don. 👍
Wow that’s great. I’m just now starting on my fasting journey and I’m having trouble getting past around 16 to 18 hours. So proud for you

Here in india it is common practice to mix curd with gram flour and a pinch of turmeric and few drops of honey to get rid of hyperpigmentation.. great advice to turn to proven home remedies..
what is curd and gram flour …
@@mariejones7136curd is yogurt. Gram flour is chickpea flour and you can usually find it in any Asian store.
Yogurt and chickpea flour
Can you do it everyday
How do you use it?
It’s 4 am and I’m seeing this. As a 40 something AA female struggling with breakouts and hyperpigmentation ,i needed this information. I take D3 +k2 everyday, now I’ll up it and try the yogurt.
I suggest cutting out ALL dairy to decrease your breakouts. That’s what worked for me years ago and I continued. Milk, chocolate, cheese, yogurt, any dairy item is what caused my breakouts. It took me years to realize. Also there a brand called Musely that has a spot cream that changed my skin dramatically. God rid of my dark spots that just wouldn’t go away. It does have Hydroquinone in it, but you speak with a dermatologist, so it’s safe for your skin. Good Luck.
Do you put yogurt on your skin ?
@@JuleneSingsyou put milk chocolate cheese and yogurt on your skin ??
Can it be plain unsweetened Greek yogurt
@@Dondonx3apply just plain yogurt with gram floor
It’s insane how we have been lied to in every area of life on every layer.
this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
😮💨what does it do to our subconscious
And intentionally! So we shouldn’t get fooled by “hustle hustle hustle!” Also known as “give your health away for other people to get rich”
I totally agree, it’s eye-opening to realize how much misinformation has been spread over the years. It’s so important now more than ever to seek the truth and take control of our own health and lives. Thanks for sharing this perspective!

I am seeing a difference since I went on copper/zinc. The difference I am seeing is the brown spots are fading everywhere. Also I am seeing my varicose veins disappear! I am not sure what is doing it but I got the advice from you of course. I’m pleased and wanted to share. Thx doc
Thank you for sharing. I will try this too. I have the same problems.😊
What’s your protocol?
@ I have multiple issues and I take 18 supplements every day. I have Neuromuscular Scoliosis so I watch/read everything I can about it. I also am on Keto/Mediterranean. I admit I am undisciplined 🤦🏻♀️ so I wish I had a magic bullet story but I am out of bed after 7 years and 5 surgeries so something is working. I am on CPTSD and my pain management team just told me about a wonderful antidepressants and apparently it is a game changer. Auvelity in case you or someone you love needs to know.
I’m am going to start after my physical but I can’t wait bc traditional medicines are no longer effective. So I get info from a lot of reputable sources mostly Mayo but for supplements Dr Berg has been helping me.
Please share what copper and zinc you take- I take these and I don’t see any difference in varicose or spots- I see more in fact.
@ I just take generic stuff but it could be the combination of all of it. I got better and out of bed quickly but I can’t seem to pinpoint the exact supplement that made the difference. My legs looked better almost immediately. I am still working on the spots but they are visibly better which goes a long way when you’re 64.
Everyone loves Dr Berg ,
❤ So true❤
I have black skin and suffer from serious hyperpigmentation on my face and body. I tried everything, nothing works. I’ve been taking vitamin D for a while but 1000 IU a day, will increase my dosage. Thank you
My underarms were so very dark and everything I read to use as skin brightener contained lemon juice. So I started rubbing fresh lemon juice under there. Now my underarms are so nice and even toned! It even works as my deodorant, now that’s all I use! Took about 6 months to see change tho so be patient
I take 50,000 after listening to another of Dr Bergs videos on vitamin D3. I don’t think I did it for facial pigmentation which I did have a problem with. I went to look in the mirror after reading your comment. I can testify that the pigmentation has improved greatly. ❤

You know what’s funny? Ive always been an advocate for no sunscreen because low-key I knew there is definitely an important job the sun plays in our health and body.
Thanks for sharing.
Same! I grew up in a SoCal beach community. I remember explicitly, having a conversation with my other 10 yr old friend, where we were looking around at all the people putting sunscreen on and we decided that putting all those chemicals on your skin and being in the sun CAN’T be good. That was 1980. I haven’t used sunscreen since.
@@maiaheiss2991I remember using baby oil with iodine. Probably just as bad… petroleum by-product 😬
Well I’ve seen plenty of people with sun spots all over thier skin In their 40s and 50s because they spent so much time in the sun…how do you explain that?
I love your perspective! 🌞 It’s true, the sun plays such an important role in our health, especially when it comes to Vitamin D. Of course, balance is key, but it’s interesting how many people overlook the positive effects of sunlight. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
There’s just something about your clear skin product that used to work well for me and was fading away my dark spots. Wish you could bring it back.
Haven’t used sunscreen for years. I’ll be trying the yoghurt 🙏
Great stuff, Dr Berg. I take 25,000 IUs of D3 as a therapeutic dose daily. I’m 63. I have had noticed ‘age-spots’ on the back of my hands and up my arms. While watching this video, I looked at these spots. They are fading away!! I take the coenzymes for D3 also.
