Apple Cider Vinegar Fasting Drink | Tastes Amazing!

Apple Cider Vinegar Fasting Drink | Tastes Amazing! is a video about my favorite apple cider vinegar fasting drink recipe.

I love using apple cider vinegar when fasting because it helps with satiety and balancing my blood sugar. When using apple cider vinegar doing intermittent fasting I feel better and also find that it amplifies the results of my intermittent fast.

The apple cider vinegar fasting recipe includes cinnamon, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, stevia, and pink Himalayan sea salt for added mineral. Apple cider vinegar health benefits are vast in number. Anything from weight loss to blood pressure, all the way to reversing chronic conditions have been reported by people who drink apple cider vinegar on a regular basis.

This apple cider vinegar recipe is my favorite. The only other thing I didn't mention in this video is that I will add a 1/2 of teaspoon of ginger sometimes. I didn't put it in because I find that I'm unique in liking it, but it is very good for inflammation.

The benefits of fasting are really awesome. Combined with apple cider vinegar the results are amazing. I hope you enjoy my apple cider vinegar fasting drink.

@Manuel Rodriguez exactly? The video did not say when to drink this? And how much are you drinking throughout the day? I don’t think you should drink this for every meal. I think you drink it throughout the day.

Hey, Nick, thanks for all your videos! I have a question: maybe I got confused a certain point, but: in another video you mentioned that drinking coffee after a couple of hours from waking up was good, because then we could go and exercise. So, this apple cider drink would come preferentially after exercising? Can it be exchanged with coffee? Thanks a lot!

    • TANGONEXIÓN on June 11, 2018 at 12:26 pm

Dr. Nick Zyrowski , thanks! My goal is to be able to experiment OMAD for a week or so. That’s why I thought: black plain coffee first, then physical activity, then ACV, then water, and then fruit and 30min after a big plate of food (can’t live without fruits!)

I saw the same video & was wondering this also. Thanks 🙏🏻

Great videos Dr. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, I’m glad I found you! I love cinnamon in my vinegar- it really brings out the apple flavors! One way I use to get the cinnamon is to soak some sticks right in the original bottle…just drop them in and forget about it , You get all the benefits without the clumpy bits if it’s not blended well enough. You can actually do this with lemons, oranges and grapefruit(organic only!!) and if you’re brave, there’s a ton of recipe variations of “fire cider” a kind of super-charged elixir… Substituting the stevia for the honey of course…Id like to know what you think!

    Another excellent video Dr Nick.
I have 3 ACV’s per day while doing intermittent fasting (OMAD) and keto, and I use the exact same organic one that you used in this video.
The first one I have is straight after waking up in the morning. I add a cap full to 8 ounces of water, a tiny squeeze of organic lemon juice freshly sqeezed, and a dash of pink Himalayan salt. It goes down real easy and doesn’t taste bad at all. The 2nd one I have is about 13 hours later, before my only meal of the day, and this one I have just with 8 ounces of water. The 3rd and last one that I have is about 30 minutes after having my meal or (if I get carried away doing other things), I have it about 30 minutes before going to bed. This one is just ACV, water, and a dash of orgqnic lemon juice.
I always use a straw, and I always rinse my mouth properly straight after consuming them.
Then about 15 minutes later I brush my teeth.

Its quite simple, but some people tend to complicate it.

Ps: if people are not consuming apple cider vinegar just because of the slightly awkward taste, then they ain’t serious about improving their health or/and their weight loss.

    Just saying….

By the way I have lost over 25 pounds in the last 14 days doing what I do, so I do know what I am talking about 👍😘😊💚

    • Sara Moore on September 15, 2019 at 1:53 am

What!?!?! 25lbs in 14 days…that is amazing! It has been 11 months now. Just curious, but what are you final results?

    • vi va on September 18, 2019 at 12:48 am

      But you also workout?

Excellent comment! You even covered mouth rinsing and the time to brush one’s teeth which is very important.

I appreciate your videos they’re short and straight to the point while being informative thank you!

    • Fallon on June 17, 2020 at 1:00 am

Exactly. The length of his videos are the length of some people’s introductions. I can’t!

  6. Stelios Kamakaris on December 25, 2018 at 10:39 am

Pretty much the same, only difference is that I drink it in room temperate (no ice, more beneficial that way) and no stevia or any other sweetener added. Also, I add cayenne pepper powder in it to be revitalized even more! I drink it at the end of my daily 21 hour fast (around six in the afternoon and post workout) and before my meal (OMAD when I don’t train, two meals when I do). Before going to bed I finish off with a cup of green or mountain tea with ginger root or turmeric root and usually a few other herbs like chamomile. Works wonders.

Just came across your videos and I am really excited and I have a very important question that has got me worried over the years. How do you avoid bad breath and during fasting especially if you work in a public place? I love fasting and want to do it as much as I can but I am always worried about mouth odor. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Love from Houston.

  8. Vale C on January 15, 2019 at 8:16 pm

Dr. Z. a few questions for you. Can I drink this daily or should it be an occasional craving-buster drink? Is there a preferred lemon juice (bottled or fresh squeezed)? Is lime juice instead of lemon OK too? Thanks again, I look forward to trying this.

  9. boonavite on February 7, 2019 at 12:44 am

This drink helped me so much. I was doing really well on IF until the Chinese New Year where homemade New Year tarts, rolls and cookies were offered by relatives. It’s celebration so I joined everyone for 2 days of feasting. Jumping back to IF on the 3rd day I had such intense hunger pangs I almost caved in, but this drink lifted the hunger pang and feeling of weakness almost at once and I was able to go on and have energy to do light chores, tho not a workout.

  10. Guy Colerick on April 8, 2019 at 3:18 am

Dr. Nick….I’ve been IF since beginning of November 2018. Lost 44 pounds to date with about 56 more to go. I read an intermittent fasting book ‘Delay Don’t Deny’ by Gin Stevens and she describes lemon as a grey area in her book. My take on that was there is natural sugar in all citrus fruits and that sugar might knock you out of your fasted state. Can you offer any advise on this issue?

  11. Aran on April 30, 2019 at 8:22 am

Oh man, I’ve been so unimaginative with my apple cider vinegar. I’ve only added honey to it. I’m going to up my game now; will start adding himalayan pink salt, cinnamon, chia seed. Thank you, Dr Nick, and other commentators who have shared their ideas here.

  12. contracture on May 10, 2019 at 10:06 am

I just made this now and it tastes really good! Before I was just using the ACV and lemon juice with the dash of Himalayan sea salt and it was harder to get down. Thanks so much for the recipe!!!

  13. Nitro-Buzz on September 21, 2019 at 10:16 pm

I like the idea of drinking this before breaking your fast to stop the glucose spike. I have had some pre-diabetes symptoms from over-eating after fasts over a long period. I do 19-hour daily fasting.

  14. Myrna Vitti on September 22, 2019 at 9:43 pm

I am currently trying the drink and it is delicious. I was taking 2 tablespoons of the organic AC vinegar and I would choke and cough. But with your recipe I can actually move forward on my well-being and weight loss strategy. Thank you so much. I am subscribed to your channel and look forward to future videos.😍

  15. Jenna Cyde on January 11, 2020 at 10:53 pm

I’ve been making this almost exactly the same on my own. I sometimes mix in an electrolyte mix I have that’s Organic Lemon Lime flavor, sweetened with stevia for the sweetness and some extra flavor. I also add a pinch of baking soda, but I’m not sure if the baking soda has a lot of health benefits or not. Just recently I got some sparkling mineral water to try it in instead of my normal reverse osmosis filtered water. Would the carbonation have any good or bad effects?

    • chanik bedford on March 11, 2020 at 2:33 am

Jenna Cyde doing the same thing but slightly different, vinegar, canyee pepper, ground ginger, lemon and honey for taste

  16. HisQueen420 on April 29, 2020 at 5:28 pm

I have the same bottle of salt in the cabinet and never thought to add that. I will have to try, so far have just been using 2 TBS ACV with 1 TBS honey and I really enjoy it. Not too sour or hard to choke down👍
As always- thanks for another great video!

  17. Lisa Singh on May 3, 2021 at 10:42 am

I started fasting (OMAD) a week ago, and throughout the day I sip on a similar mix. ACV, lemon, and ginger. I don’t feel hungry at all! My weight has gone from 167 to 156. I’m new to this, so I’m excited about it. Hoping to get to 140 in the next month or two. I’ve seen a few videos , and realize I should add some Himalayan salt, so will do!

Can you sub the stevia with raw honey?

    • Appo on June 9, 2022 at 6:04 pm

@Headsnack no, definitely not… that’ll spike your insulin defeating the entire point of fasting…

    • Hinoto Assumi on September 10, 2022 at 9:44 am

The question is when should I drink? Early morning in empty stomach? Or anytime?

  19. Susan Castell on May 30, 2022 at 7:12 pm

My morning anti-inflammatory tea consists of: 1/2 tsp ground turmeric, 1/2 tsp ground ginger, a pinch of cayenne pepper, some fresh ground black pepper, 1 TBLS apple cider vinegar in 12 oz. of boiling water… The taste requires some getting used to, but it’s been amazing at eliminating joint pain…

Can i just make a large batch for like 1week so I don’t have to make it every day?
