To make eggshell flour, you can rinse the eggshells under warm water to remove any leftover white, then store them in the fridge in an airtight container. When you’re ready to make the powder, boil the shells for 15 minutes, then dry them out in the oven at 225°F (105°C) for 45–50 minutes. Once dried, grind them into a fine powder using a spice grinder or high-powered food processor1.
Remember to check with your doctor before consuming eggshell powder, especially if you have any health conditions or are taking medications that might interact with high levels of calcium2.

Calcium carbonate is SUPER common. It isnt a magical “only in eggshells”. You drink calcium, eat cheese, literally any dairy or green vegetables. Or tums. Tums is literally calcium carbonate
Hi Dr. Z, can I put the eggshells in my NutriBullet? I put full lemon with the peel and seeds and it liquefies it so I’m sure eggshells will be fine 😊
