Being positive is obviously good, but itā€™s more important to be authentic

I wish you could cook for me!!! That looks so good…this is my 2nd time in 3 years, going on a plant-based diet (I’m on day 2 as of now)….You should totally be on the Food Network for vegan / plant based meals. Good work!

what I like about your vegan channel is that you don’t have alot of faux meat recipes. Also everything isn’t drenched with nutritional yeast.

    • Idk what I am doing on September 16, 2020 at 5:19 pm

@Sean Matthew King i hate meat i am a vegan and i honestly like vegan life style more than a normal life style

    • koolaidjerk on November 2, 2020 at 3:46 am

Step off, nutritional yeast is fantastic. Faux meat can be pretty good too depending on the brand. Though a lot of it is pretty bad lol.

    • TheVersatileVegetarian on December 30, 2020 at 8:27 pm

      Plantbased food for the win

    • Salsagyrl on January 9, 2021 at 12:28 am

Iā€™m not crazy about the faux meats either. One of the few I enjoy is field roastā€™s apple sage sausage. It doesnā€™t taste like meat but is yummy and savory and doesnā€™t have the odd texture of some of the other faux sausages. Great plant based option! I wonā€™t order a veggie burger at Burger King anymore since they switched to the impossible burger…. Mainly avoid BK anyway but that was a dumb move on their part since many plant based donā€™t want the taste/texture of meat.

Just finished making and eating the crab cakes! OMG! These are going on my weekly rotation. SO EASY and SO DELICIOUS! I didn’t have the plum vinegar so I substituted malt vinegar (being that it used to go so well with fish and chips) – These were fabulous! I also used a mix of Kale, Spinach, and Chard for my greens but don’t think that really matters – it’s what was in the fridge. REALLY A GREAT LUNCH for my daughter and I. Thank you sooooo much for the great recipe. I’m your new BIGGEST fan. Thank you thank you thank you.

    • H L on February 17, 2020 at 9:19 pm

Maurice Corbett jackfruit works well for crab cakes too, stringy and marinade it with nori and lemon

  7. Life Styled Lovely on September 6, 2017 at 4:14 pm

Thank you so much for these recipes and positive energy!!! I made my first successful vegan meal “crab cakes” with the arugula salad and LOVED it! I modified it a little based on what I have. I am excited that you make affordable vegan dishes because cost is one of the main reason people make excuses for not eating healthy. I am on a budget. I am not vegan yet, but these recipes make it possible at least 3 days of the week for me so far! šŸ™‚

I became a vegan and I got sick in 4 days. It took 1.5 weeks to beat it. Now I canā€™t imagine being a vegan

    • Ella Furman on June 26, 2022 at 8:19 pm

@ANILKUMAR PR hmm r u sure it was the vegan lifestyle? it could have been one or two foods in particular that your body didnā€™t have a good reaction to, like maybe youā€™re allergic to or got some type of food poisoning from a bad batch?

    • ANILKUMAR PR on June 27, 2022 at 5:00 pm

@Ella Furman No. I have never had any allergy to any food

WOW! Thank you Sweet Potato Soul! I have tried a crab cake recipe similar before. I love Hearts of Palm but found them vinigery in the crab cakes. I changed it up a bit, I did not add the Ume, I drained and soaked the hearts of palm for a bit in hot water with a bit of honey and a pinch of salt. I also did not add panko in the mix. I made them with Japanese Sweet Potatoes AND Chick Peas! The mustard is a wonderful add. I did not have vegan mayo so I added some flax soaked in water. They came out FABULOUS! YAY! Finally! For me any of the faux crab cake recipe were missing the sweetness of the crab. I WILL be making these again. xoxoxoxoxo

Made the crab cakes last night! I added an extra half table spoon of spice cuz Iā€™m extra but they came out bomb!!!! Family loved them and all plates were cleaned.
