Do brain cells regenerate? Yes!

It’s the rate your brain cells regenerate that determines how your cognitive function works as you age. Today, we’re going to talk about how to increase the regeneration of your brain cells.

You can do many different things to support cognitive function and increase the size of your brain. You don’t need to do all of these things, but pick what you find is the most realistic for you and let me know what you choose in the comments.

Very important video!!! Our brains are awesome impossible machines! Also, I’d look into psychoactive mushrooms, they’re being used and studied for PTSD and depression therapy. They massively induce neuroplasticity.

      @kuku now that I don’t know.

@Mike Marianetti What kind do you use. My husband and I take certain mushrooms, but haven’t heard of microdosing with them. Thank you for your help!

I knew that story of the age limitation to brain cells production was a con. So I have done it with mine. but then be ready to develop your patience to another league with people around you. Top video Dr Berg. Thanks

    • michelle smith on February 17, 2023 at 6:24 pm

Heart cells too I bet. They say you can’t regenerate those either, but they lie about absolutely everything.

  4. CN on February 17, 2023 at 11:18 am

I’m not joking, and not trying to be mean when I say I USUALLY can’t listen to most doctors or health gurus! IT HAS TO BE DR. BERG INFORMATION OR MY BRAIN STARTS HURTING. Thanks Dr. Berg 💯

  5. iKSavage on February 17, 2023 at 11:26 am

I have to just say this straight up: Dr. Berg you are an absolute TREASURE to the community of health and medicine! I mean that very sincerely because I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and it absolutely blows my mind how you have such extensive knowledge of literally anything I’m thinking about it or seeking for my family for better health. Your knowledge of holistic approaches to medicine, fasting, remedies, etc., is very crucial and impactful in the lives of MILLIONS of people across the globe! Brutally honest truth: you know WAAAAAYYYY more than many of these MDs (not trying to bash medical professionals but I’m just saying it like it is). I can’t thank you enough for the gift of knowledge of pretty much any remedy I could seek and reap the benefits of from your videos. Thank you very much, Dr Berg 🙏

    • Mário Vicente on February 17, 2023 at 12:24 pm

indeed… I would also recommend Dr Suneel Dhand for the same reasons. And since we’re talking about physicians, even Dr Rand Paul is healthy to follow although for more political reasons 😉
Medicine should be this: for the people!

    • iKSavage on February 17, 2023 at 6:50 pm

@Mário Vicente thanks for the suggestions 😁👍 I’m aware of Dr Paul Rand and I do also think he’s amazing! I could also check out Dr. Suneel Dhand 😃

  6. Jesus and Mary, Inseparable - Flat Earth Catholic on February 17, 2023 at 11:53 am

I can do the 1st two things on the list thanks be to God (exercise and fasting). I am middle aged and everything you said in the video made perfect sense. My memory is really bad and i think one of the main causes is staying inside too much (lack of exercise and harmful frequencies of modern technologies/equipment, poor diet etc).

I was 400lbs give or take about 8-9 years ago. even just grabbing your sneakers and heading out the door coupled with the diet plan Dr. Berg recommends with help. I started barely making a half mile walk now I bike 25 miles in about 2 hours. Also, there are plenty of at home programs if you are really bad off like DDPY that will help you with mobility and strength training without weights.

    • Alan Pior on February 17, 2023 at 3:45 pm

This is why I want to retire early… so I can do daily work outside for exercise, fresh air and have my own home grown food. Currently I am stuck working from home and by the time my day ends it’s dark outside.

    • Doug Stewart on February 17, 2023 at 4:08 pm

@Alan Pior FYI, I worked from home the last two years before retiring. I took breaks every two hours for 15-20 minutes and went outside. I did exercises for my eyes, soaked in as much sun and fresh air as I could, did some physical therapy for my back, and grounded (bare feet on the grass). Helped immensely and having the work day as disciplinary framewok ensured I did this every day. Hope I can encourage you to do the same. Do what you can, however small!

    • Alan Pior on February 17, 2023 at 5:00 pm

@Doug Stewart Thanks… my career was rocky during the previous 6 years since billion dollar companies make bad decisions regarding outsourcing and costs. I have finally been employed by a company which pays better and won’t be replacing me with somebody from overseas.
So I’m now able to begin devoting time back to my health instead of only focused on my career.

I absolutely love the advice in regards to fasting as long as possible and having one meal a day. It makes sense that we as humans, like all other organisms ought to engage with the natural environment which has supported our evolution in the ways which human beings have done for all time basically. Sitting around with every convenience at hand tells your body to not engage in the natural processes that it normally would if you were actively pursuing survival in the real world. It makes sense logically and intuitively. Thank you Dr berg for being a shining light of knowledge and truth, you sir, are the man

  11. Muza Zaini on February 17, 2023 at 2:11 pm

I can confirm this to be 99% correct. I finished as 2nd best student in my last uni exam, after religiously do morning HIIT exercise and intermittent fasting consistently since the start of the semester.

I never made into top 10 before doing those 2.

    • v l on February 17, 2023 at 4:01 pm

Amazing that the entire list to help the brain also helps you lose weight and stay healthy. Also, I love Cold showers! When I was taking cold showers for several weeks and I felt much sharper and alert. My work was a lot easier! Seems like a simple list just to stay healthy!

Dr Berg spitting facts. It’s all reversible. The human body is amazing. Absolutely love the truth you are a blessing ❤️

  15. Chris on February 17, 2023 at 3:21 pm

So glad I already do most of these things but I’ll try to add in more. My parents are both running into memory issues and I believe more exercise, less sugar, less snacks, better sleep, healthier foods would be the first place to start for them.

  16. Xequalswhat on February 17, 2023 at 4:02 pm

Dr. Berg’s videos have had a huge impact on my life. I’ve been on a keto-diet/intermittent fasting regimen for 8 months now. I’ve lost 58lbs and feel so much better. While I still enjoy the food I eat, I don’t treat it as recreation. Eating two meals per day – within my 6 hour feeding window – has taught me to be ‘intentional’ about the fuel I’m feeding my body.

  17. Kevin Darroch on February 17, 2023 at 4:37 pm

Incerdible how our body can and does respond to natural stuff, the right struff, thank you DR. Berg. Good work.

Thanks again Dr Berg, and also thank you to your very well informed viewers for some additional suggestions!! 🙏

  19. D LG on February 17, 2023 at 5:34 pm

I guess I’m in pretty good shape because I’m already doing many of the things on this list… I exercise 3x per week, fast 18+ hrs per day, omega 3s, B vitamins, probiotic, IR light therapy, huge salad 5x per week, etc. My biggest deficiencies are poor sleep and still too many carbs, but I am working on these things and steadily improving. Cancer, heart disease and dementia run in my family, and both parents died relatively young from these conditions, so I am trying my best to outsmart my genetics. Thanks for these invaluable tips!

  20. Mr M on February 17, 2023 at 6:46 pm

I got 10 out of 15 because I have watching your videos and applying as much as possible! I can add the other 5, thank you Dr. Berg.
