Dr., are the ratios of the electrolytes you promote correct? I’ve learned that balance with these vitamins and minerals can be equally as important as getting enough.

That was very very informative, thank you. 💋

Problem is I find things like salted nuts more addictive and can’t stop eating them but unsalted doesn’t have the same effect. So for many salt makes food more addictive

    • @samdoornbos2824 on November 4, 2023 at 1:07 pm

They use really poor quality salt in packaged foods, same as with fat protein or carbs, there is high quality and low quality salt, and it’s best to get high quality like a Redmond Real salt compared to a standard table salt that’s been bleached and additives put in to avoid clumping

    • @samdoornbos2824 on November 4, 2023 at 1:08 pm

But you’re correct, salt will light up a section of the brain known to develop addictive patterns, but the reason it does this is because our bodies know that we need salt

    • @herecomestheboom3811 on November 4, 2023 at 4:03 pm

Hunger test: if you think your hungry and want to eat, lick you finger tip, place it in salt, hold your finger on your tongue then wait about ten minutes. Bam! Hunger gone.

    • @dr.nickzyrowski on November 4, 2023 at 10:28 pm

Hey Wellness Warrior, better than getting the ones covered in sugar!

    • @its1me1cal on November 4, 2023 at 10:55 pm

@@dr.nickzyrowski lol that’s true but as @samdoornbos2824 said it develops addictive habits hence why Junk-food manufacturers, add loads of salt and sugar to their products

  4. @loretta6089 on November 4, 2023 at 12:59 pm

Thanks for all the great info Doc 😃. We love Redmonds Real salt

The Salt Fix by Dr. James DiNicolantonio is a great read and deep dive into this subject and validates everything just said. Thanks Doc Zyrowski for bringing this important subject to light.

    • @gracegirl3 on November 4, 2023 at 1:22 pm

Thanks for the info. Borderline low salt despite healthy diet, pink salt. Was just beginning to research

    • @dr.nickzyrowski on November 4, 2023 at 10:24 pm

Hey Wellness Warrior, he is definitely an excellent resource on the topic.

Awesome info video enjoy my carnivore lifestyle and do my fasting thanks for sharing I use Redmond and sea salt

    • @dr.nickzyrowski on November 4, 2023 at 10:27 pm

      That’s great!

  8. @gracegirl3 on November 4, 2023 at 1:35 pm

Thank you so very much for this video Dr Z, what I needed to hear today! You are a blessing sir. Thank you for your courage in always speaking truth to help others. Despite healthy lifestyle & pink salt consumer I’m still borderline low sodium. I also tried the trace minerals drops but NRT Dr said my body wasn’t testing for them ? I’ve experienced all these symptoms, didn’t know why. Very frustrating. And I do enjoy my two cups of coffee a day. 🙂
Also I was on a BP med that actually lowered my sodium and I didn’t know it. Med was changed. I keep a tiny bottle of pink salt next to my bed and that is always my first go to for headache or any other symptoms and just before sleep.
This information is so helpful! An answer to prayer. God bless you 🙏
I always learn something new from you and I’m definitely going to try the electrolytes!

    • @dr.nickzyrowski on November 4, 2023 at 10:25 pm

Hey Wellness Warrior, sounds like your heading in a healthier direction. Thanks for the support.

  9. @Mega07 on November 4, 2023 at 2:33 pm

Do an updated video of healing chronic gastritis please…. I’m on the verge of getting my stomach removed

    • @dr.nickzyrowski on November 4, 2023 at 10:27 pm

Hey Wellness Warrior, you should consider calling the clinic and scheduling a consult. A YouTube video is not sufficient for a topic this in depth. Search “gut inflammation” on my channel though. I’ve covered this topic.

  10. @sirmanni4534 on November 4, 2023 at 3:36 pm

Excellent video Dr. Zyrowski. What about the importance of iodine in the salt? Because I see that it’s not listed on the label for Pink Himalayan salt

    • @dr.nickzyrowski on November 4, 2023 at 10:26 pm

Hey Wellness Warrior, it’s an interesting topic. Taking a multi is typically plenty of iodine.

  11. @marshamclachlan4052 on November 4, 2023 at 4:57 pm

Question….can electrolytes be mixed in bullet coffeez?

    • @dr.nickzyrowski on November 4, 2023 at 10:29 pm

Hey Wellness Warrior, not the ones mentioned in this video, they are flavored.
You could certainly salt your coffee though.

    • @marshamclachlan4052 on November 5, 2023 at 2:28 am

Thanks Doc but I am mostly wondering about the temp of the liquid destroying the product. 😊

    • @artcook1976 on November 6, 2023 at 7:42 pm

I do every day for 10 yrs I’m OK 👍 even add a little magnesium oil 😊😊😊

He deserves so much more. Stay strong Dr.Z.👏👏👏

  15. @atmian on November 5, 2023 at 1:58 am

Great info. Just want to make sure that when you say amounts of salt 3000-5000 mg, you mean salt and not amounts of Sodium, because salt contains only about 40% Sodium. So is it correct that your recommendation translates to 1200-2000 mg Sodium per day?

  16. @terryevp4084 on November 5, 2023 at 4:12 am

Many Thanks Dr.Z. Appreciate it very much…..!!!

Maybe that is the reason the old pioneers put salt in thier coffee ,I remember my grandfather sprinkle it in his coffee
