Dr., are the ratios of the electrolytes you promote correct? I’ve learned that balance with these vitamins and minerals can be equally as important as getting enough.
That was very very informative, thank you. π
You are welcome.
Problem is I find things like salted nuts more addictive and canβt stop eating them but unsalted doesnβt have the same effect. So for many salt makes food more addictive
They use really poor quality salt in packaged foods, same as with fat protein or carbs, there is high quality and low quality salt, and it’s best to get high quality like a Redmond Real salt compared to a standard table salt that’s been bleached and additives put in to avoid clumping
But you’re correct, salt will light up a section of the brain known to develop addictive patterns, but the reason it does this is because our bodies know that we need salt
Hunger test: if you think your hungry and want to eat, lick you finger tip, place it in salt, hold your finger on your tongue then wait about ten minutes. Bam! Hunger gone.
Hey Wellness Warrior, better than getting the ones covered in sugar!
@@dr.nickzyrowski lol thatβs true but as @samdoornbos2824 said it develops addictive habits hence why Junk-food manufacturers, add loads of salt and sugar to their products
Thanks for all the great info Doc π. We love Redmonds Real salt
Me Too!!!
My pleasure!
I use Celtic Sea Salt.
The Salt Fix by Dr. James DiNicolantonio is a great read and deep dive into this subject and validates everything just said. Thanks Doc Zyrowski for bringing this important subject to light.
Thanks for the info. Borderline low salt despite healthy diet, pink salt. Was just beginning to research
Hey Wellness Warrior, he is definitely an excellent resource on the topic.
Awesome info video enjoy my carnivore lifestyle and do my fasting thanks for sharing I use Redmond and sea salt
That’s great!
Thank you so very much for this video Dr Z, what I needed to hear today! You are a blessing sir. Thank you for your courage in always speaking truth to help others. Despite healthy lifestyle & pink salt consumer I’m still borderline low sodium. I also tried the trace minerals drops but NRT Dr said my body wasn’t testing for them ? I’ve experienced all these symptoms, didn’t know why. Very frustrating. And I do enjoy my two cups of coffee a day. π
Also I was on a BP med that actually lowered my sodium and I didn’t know it. Med was changed. I keep a tiny bottle of pink salt next to my bed and that is always my first go to for headache or any other symptoms and just before sleep.
This information is so helpful! An answer to prayer. God bless you π
I always learn something new from you and I’m definitely going to try the electrolytes!
Hey Wellness Warrior, sounds like your heading in a healthier direction. Thanks for the support.
Do an updated video of healing chronic gastritis pleaseβ¦. Iβm on the verge of getting my stomach removed
Hey Wellness Warrior, you should consider calling the clinic and scheduling a consult. A YouTube video is not sufficient for a topic this in depth. Search βgut inflammationβ on my channel though. Iβve covered this topic.
Excellent video Dr. Zyrowski. What about the importance of iodine in the salt? Because I see that itβs not listed on the label for Pink Himalayan salt
Hey Wellness Warrior, itβs an interesting topic. Taking a multi is typically plenty of iodine.
Question….can electrolytes be mixed in bullet coffeez?
Hey Wellness Warrior, not the ones mentioned in this video, they are flavored.
You could certainly salt your coffee though.
Thanks Doc but I am mostly wondering about the temp of the liquid destroying the product. π
I do every day for 10 yrs I’m OK π even add a little magnesium oil πππ
@@artcook1976 thank you π
πAwesome! Dr. Nickπ
Hey Wellness Warrior, thank you.
I use a lot of salt. Iβm βSalty & Spicyβ guy π.
He deserves so much more. Stay strong Dr.Z.πππ
Great info. Just want to make sure that when you say amounts of salt 3000-5000 mg, you mean salt and not amounts of Sodium, because salt contains only about 40% Sodium. So is it correct that your recommendation translates to 1200-2000 mg Sodium per day?
Many Thanks Dr.Z. Appreciate it very much…..!!!
Any time
Maybe that is the reason the old pioneers put salt in thier coffee ,I remember my grandfather sprinkle it in his coffee
Especially if you’re on a ketogenic diet heart arrhythmias

Well good ! π
